I really enjoyed the first part and never realized there was a second part!! Enjoying the game so far. Easier to go through and deal with some monsters.
It's like you took the first game and had intent to make a better sequel, but then you got entirely distracted by monetization efforts. The controls are sloppy. Trying to make it 3d did not work. The maps are small and give no sense of adventure. The tutorial explained none of the more complicated mechanics. It's too easy. I have yet to use any items because you handed me powerful armor over and over. The main menu/town is a mess. I cant even use my "free lottery tickets". This game is awful.
The game itself is amazing. Except for one thing, the stupid "joystick only debuff". I enjoyed every aspect of this game except the annoying frequency of this ridiculous debuff. There's a reason i didn't pick the joystick. It's just awkward, takes up a good chunk of the screen and there's a minimum of 2 of these debuffs, often unavoidable, on every level where i am atm. That one thing makes me not want to play. It doesn't even make the game any harder. It just makes it awkward to move around.
This game is a roguelike player's dream! Tons of stuff to do, an exhaustive library of items to equip, the interface is simple and easy to use, and it's not too easy, which is the problem for many recent roguelike games on the market. I have only been playing for about 2 hours and i was hooked after 10 minutes!! It takes all of the fun things from the original and adds multitudes, including improved graphics and controls, and adds not only multiplayer capability, but an awesome community!
first of all, please allow me to use the last joystick style and customize where in the screen I can have it.I really hate the draggy one, I like the ones with buttons better. I really missed the art style from the previous game but it grew onto me. I don't like the lack of customizable options in the start. But so far, the game seems really great, only big concern I have is multiplayer. It's too damn hard compared to singleplayer and I want to be able to just play 2 people and have a chance
Well, this is a really good game. It reminds of of Casual RPG,but sometimes it disconnects me even though I'm right next the router and when I try to get back in it won't let me. I dont know if it's internally updating or what but at least say something if it does. and if it not then pls fix it. but overall it's a really good game, really. if it weren't for that particular problem I would have given this a solid 5 star.
Pretty good so far, i played the first one for quite a bit and a lot of things i like have been transferred to this game. The only issue i have is the lack of directions, it might be just me but i have a problem figuring out how to pm someone or equip runes. A manual should be added even for basics because everything i find things a bit confusing. Really love the new artstyle though i wish there was more customization. Pretty solid with some minor issues.
I think the first Greedy Cave was better in many ways. It was simpler yet still challenging. The second game's town is unnecessarily cluttered. Each floor is like a short corridor where you go from point A to point B, facing just a few obstacles and treasures in the way. In contrast, the first game's town was much simpler and more pleasing to navigate. The floors had much more to offer and felt great to explore. I haven't progressed far into this game yet so take my words with a grain of salt.
It's good overall but the terrible UI makes it nearly impossible to enjoy. Text overlapping, UI elements partially covering text, the initial font used is terrible and I didn't tell about the incredible amount of bad English. The skill and item descriptions are either broken or just pure nonsense! It's like a beta experience, but in a final form. Make a better UI with the first game's art director and you should be ok.
That is a great dungeon crawler and very entertaining game overall. Challenging and rewarding. You don't need p2w to go through it. Although I spent few dollars but more to support devs. Interesting gear and skill system makes you think what is what. It gives you an opportunity to find your optimal bulid where you need to balance between survivability and damage dealing. Also, visual part should definitely be noticed. Same as the first part of the game I find it amazing. Worth playing. GLHF:)
I don't know why particularly but I find myself missing the original version (Maybe kt was easier on the eyes?). Drag and drop is cool but I dislike how its the only way to do anything as it can be a little frustrating trying to drag something a few times. I would love a like "double tap equipped feature". There's alot of changes to the build of the game that seem a bit off to me and will take some getting used to. Otherwise Im proud of its underlining changes and play experience.
The idea of the game is simple, yet interesting. The art of the game reminds me of Darkest Dungeon, which sets the tone of the game perfectly and gives some familiarity. The rpg system is very fun to play with and no materials go unused. The flow of the game sets you up to quickly progress, discover its mechanics, and experience the full game.
Far worse than the first game. Graphically nice but has none of the original charm. The conteol scheme is awful, the UI is bad, and the gameplay is worse than the first. There is also a lot of micro-transanction focus. I cannot reccomend this game. There is also no documentation online, like a wiki, to help you through the massively complicated game and systems.
After playing both versions, I like the first one more, a lot more. The caves in GC-1 are bigger and adventurous. But what I didn't like vthe most for GC-2 is the guild and online features. Not only this makes the world/village looks too messy, it makes the game becomes (more) like traditional MMO games. IMHO, 2D maps weren't not bad, if not more preferable. More places to explore and variety of challenges make this kind of game charming.
It's a wonderful sequel to The Greedy Cave. It's improved on every aspect of the original game and I really love it! My makn issue is that there is a noticeable delay when entering and exiting menus, which can get annoying in an RPG focused on loot management. But, otherwise, the game is awesome!
I find the game quite clunky because of it's use of tiles for movement. The motion stick is awkward to use because I'm used to being able to run in any degree on most games. There's one thing that I really want this game to improve on, UX. I know a bit about UX and this game needs to fix their mistakes. Button's color and it's background are the same, slider got a + plus sign inside making it look like pressing it would increase the value of something and more. Please improve your UX.
If you like roguelikes this game is great. Can be frustrating when you die but you can spend crystals to revive, also have a guild ability to have a free one. Never thought i would play another MMO but this one is very satisfying. I have always had a soft spot for cellshaded animation that is why i started playing. Also the mix of turn-based and action blend very well.
Used to be 4 stars, but this game is too inconsistent. What happened to the skills? I get if it needed balancing, but be upfront about it - Why just change skills, and get rid of my shielding skill, without any explanation or warning? This game has gone through so many changes - that change the actual core mechanics - it doesn't make any sense. Just when I'm getting used to the mechanics, the game updates, and the entire game changes. It doesn't tweak for fairness, it just revamps for no reason
Well for starters, this is an amazing sequal to the last game. With sequals also come with some of the issues as well, that being said that one of them is unexpected crashes.I have no idea why it crashes because it also doesnt give me a report of why it crashed as well. Keep up the great work and i hope a patch comes out soon to prevent the crashes!
Not worth your time. Not much of an improvement compared to its predecessor, if any. In fact it got worse with the always online but never mind. Btw the game lacks a tutorial and you are immediately thrown into a generic rpg town trying to get to know all npcs at once. This is very different to what it was with the greedy cave 1. The dungeons themselves are fun but you'll soon realize you'll need good items fast because the monsters are hitting harder now. They also changed the skill system btw.
This games visual is good for being cartoony and I like how it's Tim Burton-like. I just started Greedy Cave 2 last night and already found a problem. All I was doing was reading the skills to decide on what kind of spec to use, but when I single tap the first skill in either....I instantly BUY it...even if I only wanted to see what it does. Now I am stuck with the first skill for sword and shield and caster with only 1 potion to reset........
I enjoyed the first game and figured I'd give this one a shot. When I installed it, I ended up on some random person's account. In my quick look, they had made it to about floor 40, had trophies, and had skills. They were also in a guild, . I'm highly concerned about the possibility of random migration of data to a different person's account and won't be trying this game any further until this has been addressed. I look forward to trying this game in the future, but this is an issue.
I want to like this game, but it bugs out way too often. Parts of the screen become unresponsive and the character wont move, but all the menu buttons work. Also, i cant access the warehouse because the window closes on its own after a half second. So im stuck with a full inventory.
I was hesitant to try because of the account swapping bug.... and guess what happens on my first Guest login... I found myself playing another players account. I knew it was odd when I just found myself full of loot and in the middle of a dungeon with a unique username... AND I HAD NEVER PLAYED BEFORE!!!! I would hate for someone else to be able to randomly access hard work on my account so for that reason, I'm out.
I was playing the greedy cave 1 when I discovered this game. I thought I'd give it a try. Sadly, the tutorial and constant informations barely make it enjoyable. It took me 2 minutes to find how to start a new run in the city. Moreover, I hate the new graphics. Why did you jump from simplicity with 2D graphics and simple selfexplaining UI to weird 3D with tons of useless information? At the first combat, there is lag between the player hitting the monster and the life bar going down, why? 1☆sry
