App is only good for reading headlines but forces you to log in every single time you access it, even after clicking a link from one of its notifications. (Apparently, it "recognizes" that you've read your 5 free articles for the month but can't recognize that you've logged in daily for the past 6 months.) Save yourself some time. Delete the app and create a quicklink to the website on your homescreen.
I can't even sign in to access content w my subscription. Always says email isn't valid, tried via Google login and always get an error code. Pretty irritated I've paid for a subscription I can't even use.
My biggest problem with this app is the requirement to sign in every time I open it. I plan on not renewing my subscription this year - and then deleting the app :/
Horrible App! Rarely updated with news. Makes me sign in every time I use it. If they hadn't suckered me in to paying for the full year, I'd be out-of-there in a sec.
The e edtion is for some newspaper in Tennessee and no way to change it that I can see. I'll just use the website. This app is worthless for what I want.
Pretty good news coverage although there is too much emphasis on sports.

The app won't let me log in. It says that my password is invalid.

I installed the app for Greenville. When I looked to make The Greenville News my newspaper of choice, the only newspaper supported for SC is the one in Anderson. I uninstalled the app and decided to move on! Poor quality and poor service!
This latest version does not open on my note tablet, while old version worked without issues. Same problem with USA Today.
10.8.2016 (v3.3) Now when I start it, it will flash its logo page, start to draw a blue border or background (cant tell which) and it returns back to the tablets desktop. It is still running in the background, because it will occasionally post a ''news breaking'' notifier... if you select the notifier, you may or may not see the article. I cant contact support with the app, because it wont stay running long enough. This is Asus me173 -- 7.1 inch tablet with android 4.2 (??)
This app used to work great but does not work at all now. Greenville News denies having anything to do with the app and implies that it is Play Stores problem. Don't waste your time installing this app.

This app is very similar to the USA Today app that is one of my favorites. I am glad the Greenville News updated their Android app.... (appended 6/14) Installed on my new Samsung phone...app will not allow me to log in. Technical Support was not able to correct this problem. Disappointed in this version on what was a good app. (appended 11/8/14) I am pleased to report that the log in problem has been corrected. Now I can once again recommend this app. I use it everyday now that I can log in to my paid account.
Most of the time I get the message "An unexpected error has occurred" and it won't update. Right now I can read week old news. Actually its sort of like my paper edition, hit and miss delivery.
I like the idea of this app because of spotty home delivery schedule. It just doesn't work on the galaxy S5. Will not unlock content with correct login. I know these guys are struggling, wish they could do better.
This app is terrible. I have to log in to see content every time and it still doesn't work.
If you like having to log in over and over again then this app is for you. It won't save login information. As a bonus, it's rather sluggish.
One sided news. No point in reading it.
