The Guest - Photo Sharing

I like the idea of this app but there are a few significant problems. 1. It makes my phone buzz every minute notifying me I'm sharing. This is obnoxious if using for vacation where sharing is turned on for several days. I don't mind it notifying I'm sharing, but I don't need my phone to buzz every minute for a week straight. 2. There is no way to download the photos straight to a computer. I have to download to my phone, upload to the cloud, then download to the computer.

We got nearly 500 photos and videos from our guests at the wedding! Most of which we would have never seen if it weren't for The Guest app. It was easy to set up, provide instructions to guests, and I love the manual vs. auto upload option for guests. So happy we promoted and used it for our whole wedding weekend!

It does exactly what it says. All the Photos from our wedding were shared, so now i can see the photos everyone took! the quality of the photos doesn't look full res, but it still is a great way for people to just automatically share all images from an event. Edit: I'm taking away one star. I found an issue where some images are given a date of November 1979 for some reason. This makes it difficult to download these pictures and sort through them.

The reason this only gets three stars from me, is that we happen to have our event while the app was changing names and being purchased by "The Knot." I think that made it somewhat more confusing for our guest. However, I think that was a one time issue and wouldn't happen for users going forward. The other reason is simply that I wish you could tie it in with a cloud storage service such as Google or Dropbox. That way, each time photos were added, it would automatically move them over to your cloud storage and thus your synced devices. Would be fairly simple with their APIs. I hope they continue to improve this app idea. However, that would not prevent me from using the app. If I were having another wedding, I would absolutely recommend this app.

Phenomenal! This app is an amazing idea. It replaces the use of a traditional camera or throw away cameras on the table and brings you into the digital era. I used this app for my wedding day. Only a handful (6)of the 90 guest downloaded the app but I received over 1,000 photos and video. The clarity was clear. It was really cool seeing the pictures and vidoes from everyone's point of view and provided candid pictures that might have been missed. The app uploads pictures immediately to the app

Absolutely Brilliant! Great way to make picture taking interactive and fun for everyone at an event. And a Brilliant way to be able to collect and share photos from every aspect of an event. Well thought out application. I would've never been able to collect so many photos from different places of my event by just taking pictures on my own. Can't wait to use this app again at my next event!

Absolutely awful idea for an app. By default this connects and posts all photos you take during a huge range of time. I nearly had a compromising photo posted to my grandmothers birthday party. This could easily be a terrifying and life-altering situation. I would never recommend this app to anyone and will try to spread the word about avoiding it at all costs!

Set up was great, I love that there are many different ways to invite people and that jpeg flyers are available to print. Although I think the concept is great, we had issues with the auto upload feature. Had to manually upload pics after the event, which defeats the purpose of the app. Will try again at another small event, but if problems persist I won't trust it for the big event

Great for Parties and Weddings. I used this app for my bachelorette weekend, rehearsal dinner, and wedding. It worked great all three times except for a minor glitch which made the pictures unable to be seen as they were uploaded during my rehearsal dinner. It is a great way to get everyone's photos without having to ask everyone to send them to you later. The guests also loved seeing everyone's photos uploaded in real time. Can't recommend this app enough!

Great app! Very easy to use! The only thing is that when you use it EVERY photo you take goes straight to the app. I think there should be an "on/off" switch for that function. I was sending a pic of the venue address that I took with my phone to someone and later realized that one was uploaded to the app as well! 😐 Other than that, great, easy to share and easy to use!

Not all of our guests were interested in using this, but wow. The ones that did had such a good time and the app worked incredibly. Photos were uploaded and visible in real time. We got some great shots right away instead of having to wait a week for our first photos from the photographer. The only thing that happened that may be worth noting is one guest accidentally took a burst selfie and was embarrassed so she went in and individually deleted them all. There should be a mass delete option.

Such a great experience with this app. I was skeptical it would work as advertised, but was blown away seeing the pictures come in. Love how they're chronological so we can walk through our wedding day, or filter them so we can see photos from a certain individual. Would definitely recommend this app, was very easy to get our guests to use it as well. My only recommendation is to make auto upload NOT the default, it freaked some people out. Other than that, absolutely no problems.

Easy to download and use. Great way to capture our event, in this case a wedding. I only wish I had realized that I could have turned off the autoshare function and uploaded my photos after the wedding. Six 'test' photos of the same subject weren't really necessary! Of course I deleted what I didn't like or need!

100% reccomend this app.The ONLY reason I give it 4 instead of 5 starts is because it doesn't tell you until the event start time that ALL photos you take from the start until end time are uploaded unless you go to into the setting. Not a great feature if the bride and groom aren't doing a first look. Otherwise I loved it! got lots of great pictures that we would have otherwise missed out on.

Great for seeing everyone's photos from an event! Major drawback is that there is no web site, so it only works on phones, you CANNOT access your photos with a computer. And I suspect that the files are heavily compressed. >500 photos and videos is only 3.8GB, that's an average of 7.6MB per file. Can't say definitively, but that seems low with videos in the mix. Access from computer and maybe a paid version for uncompressed upload and they'll earn my 5 stars.

What an Awesome app! Stable, easy to use, and Works as advertised. I used this for our Wedding, and even my now mother-in-law, who is not Tech savy was able to navigate her way around it and use it. The auto share portion is fantastic, but even if guests turn it off, it is very easy for them to upload later. It's nice to see an app that truly works as advertised, and without cost or tons of ads. If you have a big event or life change with friends and family, this app is the one to use!

I used this app to capture photos/videos of my bachelorette weekend, bridal shower, rehearsal dinner and wedding. It made it easy to collect photos from event guests. There is an auto-upload option. Most guests turned it off and uploaded photos manually. We had no issues with the app. Our guests loved it. And we loved the fact that we could see all the amazing photos our guests took at the wedding.

I couldn't recommend this app enough, it is the easiest way to share photos in full resolution with a group. We used this app for our wedding and everyone, including our older guests, were able to get on the app and upload and download photos. It was a great way for them to see some photos while the photographer got back to us, and we could see what everyone got up to while we were doing other things! The Guest makes it very easy to get people in the album, with multiple ways to invite people in with pre-populated messages. The notifications were also helpful to know when the event was starting and ending.

Great concept when it works. I had autoshare on and out of the 46 photos I took, 3 uploaded & showed under the event. When I tried to manually upload it wouldn't allow it saying my photos were already uploaded...but they weren't. I tried deleting and reinstalling the app without success. I see other's have this issue but there doesn't seem to be much concern from the developer on correcting this problem.

I had soooo many people use this at my wedding,I actually 2nd guessed having paid a photographer. If you are on a budget and want to skip a photographer, this app is a must have!!! All of my guests enjoyed using it and for those who missed the wedding they felt as if they were there when they looked through the pictures because once everyone uploads their pics, it puts them in chronological order!!!! 🥰

What a cool little app for sharing photos during the big wedding night! You can turn on auto-share and any photo you take with your phone's camera app magically gets uploaded to a shared folder. You can even view on a PC after uploading. That's the only point of this app as far as I'm concerned, so I uninstall after use, heh. Cool nonetheless!

Overall a great way to capture pictures and videos from people for my wedding. It would have been nice to be able to send a personalized message to guests explaining what the app is for; I got quite a few texts from people asking me about it. And while it was easy to add my contacts, adding guests who are not in your phone contacts is more difficult.

This was a wonderful app. We were able to see moments that may have been forgotten or missed. It was easy to sign up and add guests. The only issue would be that the app continues to so text reminders ro sign up, VERY frequently. I had a few guests ask why I was harassing them with the app and it wasnt me. I also wish I could see what was sent to guests before they got the Invite to make it more personal too. Other than those couple of things, I would recommend this app to gather the candid shots

I was not given an option when making my account on whether or not I wanted my photos to be auto uploaded as they were taken, and the time period was selected for the day before the wedding as well as the day of, all hours in between. It auto uploaded every single picture I took during that time, day and night (I like to take lots of pictures) whether or not wedding related. I had no idea until I was told, and had to go and delete them all and finally see the switch to undo auto-upload.

Amazing when it works!! A great way to easily get photos from your event shared among all your guests, and useful for guests who are unwell and can't attend but want to experience the day as it happens. In more recent events I've noticed a few of my guests had trouble with the app; one guest never received the SMS event invite, another was unable to log into the app, another had access to the event, but then the event disappeared from their app halfway through the day.

I was really excited to try this as an option for my upcoming wedding. Unfortunately, it did not work as well as advertised. I did a test run with my siblings and my mom. My brother's and sister's (except she had to turn on autoshare herself) worked perfectly. Mine would not upload ALL of my photos (when I tried to manually upload, it said they were already uploaded). None of my mom's photos would upload auto OR manual. I still think this app would be an easier way to get more photos than others

I'm not a fan of all photos taken the time range of the event are uploaded and shared. I set this to manual sharing. Everytime I tried to share some photos, the app kept crashing. Update: used this app for a second time for an event and it worked well! I'm not a fan of the auto uploads, so I turned that off. Manual uploads worked great as well as downloading others uploads.

this app was a fantastic way to capture a very special day. I'll be using it for special events in the future. the only thing is the auto sharing being turned on upon setup. I feel there should be some kind of notification letting users no they are automatically sharing any photo they take during that time period and also how to turn that feature off.

it was a little intimidating when i first downloaded the app about a month before our wedding, because i wasn't sure how it would work or how to explain to everyone on how it worked... but once everyone was all set up it was awesome!! i think my guest enjoyed the fact that they were all adding photos all at the same time. it also tells you who uploaded a pic or video.... it was really easy. my guest knew when the event was starting and when it was over. i will use again.

This app was absolutely 💯 the best option for my daughter's wedding and reception. Honestly, had I known, I would've excluded the extra expense of a photographer and would have invested more in signage for the guests to download this app. Just used the app again for my 65th Birthday celebration and we've collected over 400 pics. It's awesome!! Highly recommend it.
