The Holy Catholic Bible
CPDV is a Catholic Bible comprising the canon recognized by the Catholic Church: 73 books.
Bibles used by Catholics are different from the Bibles used by Protestants. After the Reformation, Catholic Bibles remained unchanged and Protestants rejected the seven books called deuterocanonicals (Tobit, Judith, 1 and 2 Maccabees, Wisdom, Sirach, Baruch, parts of Esther and parts of Daniel)
Protestants follow the canon of the Hebrew Bible, and Catholics base the Old Testament on the Septuagint, the translation of the Jewish Scripture into Greek. The result is that the Catholic Version have more books: 46 (Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy, Joshua, Judges, Ruth, 1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings, 2 Kings, 1 Chronicles, 2 Chronicles, Ezra, Nehemiah, Esther, Job, Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Lamentations, Ezekiel, Daniel, Hosea, Joel, Amos, Obadiah, Jonah, Micah, Nahum, Habakkuk, Zephaniah, Haggai, Zechariah, Malachi)
Catholics Old testaments include the 1st and 2nd Maccabees, Baruch, Tobit, Judith, The Wisdom of Solomon, Sirach (Ecclesiasticus), additions to Esther, and the stories of Susanna and Bel and the Dragon which are included in Daniel.
The Catholic and Protestant New Testaments are identical and contain 27 books: (Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts, Romans, 1 Corinthians, 2 Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, 1 Thessalonians, 2 Thessalonians, 1 Timothy, 2 Timothy, Titus, Philemon, Hebrews, James, 1 Peter, 2 Peter, 1 John, 2 John, 3 John, Jude and Revelation)

2nd review... the scriptures do not line up with two Catholic bibles I compared. I loved the layout & ease of using, BUT, the chapters & verses are not accurate in many places. I am uninstalling. Disappointed!
Cannot figure out how to get rid of distracting ads. Great otherwise, and lots of useful features. But I'll probably remove if no option to get rid of ads.
This app is great. Easy to find what you are looking for. Very user friendly. Love the highlighting feature! However, I have to uninstall it because the book of Psalms is very incorrect. It seems around the 8th chapter, the verses are in the wrong places. I was very confused until I compared it to an actual bible. Otherwise it is a nice app to have.
It's the oldest tradition in the latest technology at your fingertips without turning a page. Some may have problems such as it turns on while in church. (see below). THEY need to learn how to use a phone - off at mass. Or they say, "A Bible that has Adds? Maybe spelling is the issue there, try, " ads". Live Spiritual, not negatively I love the Word of Jesus Christ, in the Catholic perception. It's my #1 app.
I have noticed that my daily verses aren't showing any longer. When I try to do it myself, the page goes blank. I've tried restarting my phone but it's not doing anything.
Easy to use, one improvement I could suggest is to be able to type a feeling or word that could bring up a Bible verse or two to address.
I enjoy the features of the app such as getting daily verses, copying and pasting, highlighting, and favoriting. It makes reading and remembering so much easier. My one suggestion is that there be an option to send more than one verse a day. I would personally love a few more.
Frustrating. You can hear only a small selection of the chapter and then it turns itself off when the screen darkens. Then, there's no place to select to continue from where one left off, and one has to begin all over and tap the screen repeatedly to keep narration going.
The app is accessible at any time, I dont have to carry a big/heavy book and it provides privacy. I am pleased and highly recommend it.
I hate to give one stars, but the app crashes immediately the moment I try to open it (so i actually haven't even seen what this app has to offer) Please fix this issue.

This app has missing verses. The book is incomplete. It also has inappropriate ads. Definitely uninstalled.
I'm having trouble subscribing, and the adds are distractive and at times lustful in nature but great interface otherwise.
Was really hopeful about this app. But when I try to open it, it just won't open, I've installed and reinstalled it several times to no avail!
Well i love this app simply because it doesn't ommit any chapters and is accurate in everything and it doesn't miss any other books which have been removed by other online Bible apps
It has been a very great way to start my day. I am so clad I downloaded the app. My grand kids like the daily messages I send them in the morning
Just downloaded the app and it won't open. Window popped and said there was a bug in the app.
It's supposed to be a great app, the structure and simplicity save for most psalms that have their chapters all different and mixed up. May you pls look into that. I love the structure of this app and wouldn't want to uninstall it.
I can't even open the app anymore. There was an update and now it's no longer working. Guess I have to remove it now. Very disappointed.
This app makes Bible study so easy! I can highlight passages, and they remain highlighted, I can save passages to favorites, and they are still there when I go back to them. There are many other apps that do not do that unless you pay for it. This is truly free in that aspect. Yes, there are ads, but you are not inundated with them. Because they are but a few, I don't mind that they are there, and besides, you don't have to view the whole thing before you can exit out of it. Nice!
It is a resourceful App that contains the whole Bible chapters.lt is easy to navigate. Love it.
Please fix the app, it will no longer open on my Galaxy device and says there is a bug. 😞
I have just downloaded the Bible today. I would like to request if you could featur the daily Catholic mass readings in the app.
I really like how I can find passages extremely fast. However I do find that some passages are written like the King James Bible and have found that some chapters are either completely missing or just the last passages. As far as your last survey question, I don't really remember any ads unless they are the random passages that pop up.
