This is the one game, despite many others like it, that I keep coming back to. The mix of building and arranging your own base while commanding and supporting an army works well here, and while the initial curve is a bit steep it can be overcome. Taking time to figure out how each unit works and can be countered will help more than just chasing the biggest number, even if it only really starts showing up after you've unlocked almost all your units.
Easy to get into and the Horus Heracy is great setting with lots of potential. It's a bit slow to get started (you spend a lot of time waiting for counters to go down) and I think there's too much emphasis on spending money to speed things up. The early game also lacks the epic feel of the 40k universe (massive armies smashing together, ridiculous scale, the ponderous machine that is the Empire of Man). You have to play for a good while before you feel powerful.
Hi there. about drop assault, for some reason the tournaments have been buged for a while. almost a month now, the cooldowns are still not resetting. there hasn't been an update for almost a year and the machine spirit bundles only should 2 options, please fix the most immediate problems of the game. hope to see some changes soon!.
Usually I can't stand these sorta games, but this one's well balanced and doesn't try to force you to pay for things. Instead, it offers you a wealth of opportunities to speed things up by watching ads. There doesn't seem to be anything overtly insidious or greedy in its construction, and it has a fun little gameplay loop. Definitely worth a try.
Great rts game, much akin to clash of clans, but 2hat makes it stand out is the genre of it being warhammer 40k and the skirmish game mode, my only complaints are the slow progression, and the sometimes uneven matches in skirmish, like when I got matched up against an army of predator tanks at rank 5, another problem i have with it is that it takes forever to clear the map. Overall, it is a pretty decent game with some issues that will probably not get fixed, PROBABLY.
I really enjoy this game. The units feels balanced, there's a definite element of strategy, and at no point have I felt that parts of the game gatekept or deliberately prevented growth. Even the in game currency can be quite easily acquired in relatively large amounts without actually spending money. The aesthetics and animation is also spot on and the skirmish pvp mode is particularly fun, as well as so far as I can tell, unique to this game. Would recommend to any interested.
Changed phone and new install recognized the Google Play account, but did not pop up the notice regarding existing saved data. I guess the intro video and tutorial is more important than retrieving saved data. Anyway, if this happens DO NOT click link account. This action will overwrite the saved game data in Google Play with the the new game. Uninstall / reinstall until saved data is recognized. For the devs, programming 101 check to see if data already exists before overwriting. Lost few months of progress and I will not go through it again. Too bad because the game is fun and I would have spent money on the game after HQ 14 to support the devs.
it was once an awesome and challenging, very nice game. Now it has become a lost cause, with no tech support, glitches and bugs abound, and on top of that it is running completely iddle. very sad.
Basic setup for games of troop placement. Fun for the time. Limited movement makes it challenging in a way. Other than that It is just a cool edition of WarHammer lore and some character development in the world of 40,000. If into turn based games. This is a bit different than the original concept.
Sadly, a very time-wasting AND repetitive copycat of Clash of Clans kinda simplicity. We lose weeks building a stronghold and each building, leader, or troop upgrade, only to do the same assault missions and nothing else. Multiplayer is also limited, in options & communication. Patches did not even consider player wishes and player comfort, so DEVS don't need to contact me, just dish the standard reply. :-(
Experience so far up to Player Level 5: +Good time sink +Well-done and familiar WH aesthetic +Does a decent job teaching basics of how to play -Better be patient or willing to spend a bit. The actual times for upgrading buildings up to this point haven't been terrible (5 m - 2 h). Starting with only one tech marine to upgrade your base is kinda rough. +/- The enemy bases seem to be leveling faster than I can so far. Whether this will prove disheartening or a fun challenge, I can't tell yet.
The game is great! Though more difference between the unique units of the 4 legions would be nice, the game is very nice as is! (The loyalist unique ability, servo skull swarm, is way too underpowered in comparison to the traitor's bloodlust one though)
This game is great. The only problems are: the ads don't work, and my captured bases seem to get retaken very quickly and it's hard to keep up with them.
Number one gripe is that no matter which side you choose, all you can choose is traitor legions. That, and the game itself is ad-ridden. Granted, the majority of the ads you can choose to watch or not, but literally everything you can do on this game has a form of ad tacked to it. No real way to justify that without sounding like a corporate drone. Finally, this game is just a cheap clone of Boom Beach. To conclude, this game is overall a giant load of unoriginal, greedy corporate HERESY.
Do you actually ever get to play? Shows a cut scene then downloads, then you choose your loyalty then it downloads. I have so many great games and though I've been eager to try this for years, and tried and tried on device after device. I remember when this game didn't work and had no support. Now the support is back but it seems like the game just starting is a waste of my time. Play something else, I'm tired of gw and their greed.
I really enjoy playing this. This is the 3rd device I've downloaded it on so I can play it anywhere. The gameplay in skirmish is perfect, and the heroes are hugely customizable and are as powerful as they ought to be. However, the graphics are a little scratchy, with the 'beautiful' Fulgrim looking rather horrendous and Horus looking like a bald Ash from Pokemon. Overall though, a great game with great gameplay, the best Clash-of-Clans-style game around (possibly a bias from me though)
Nice Warhammer 40k strategy game. Lacks a bit of depth... Edit: Totally buggy! Rewards vanish, Ads have to be rewatched, autosave is a mess! Besides the time for upgrades becomes painfully long - I actually wanted to play and not wait for two days to finish some silly timer!!! Sorry you made a decent game absolutely worthless!
A decent phone adaptation to a great setting and timeline in 40k lore. It runs smoothly and has a good picture quality. Only real criticism is that some of the units cannot be customised with wargear or other abilities making combat a bit predictable at times. Other wise a good free to play game.
Great game!. Same basic battle approach as CoC, in a great outer space environment. VERY interesting troops and battle machines, and they just keep getting mo betta. I really look forward to getting to the highest troops, heroes, and home base defenses and making a bigger dent in siege.
Took me awhile to figure out how things work. I'm not a 24/7 gamer but this is a great way to pass downtime...ads, eh, can't get around'em... love the strategy and graphics. Overall great download !!!...UPDATE: 3 months later and still playing
It is an amazing game I'd play this if i have the time though something I'd like to ingame is the ability to switch accounts in the settings if you add that than many people who may have more than 1 or 2 accounts can just switch from them easier than having to uninstall the game and reinstalling it just to check each account Having a system in place like that would be helpful so if you could add one much appreciated if not than thats ok I'd just be disappointed
Good graphics and gameplay amd story but the game mechanics are kinda weird. U can just skip some bases defenses and just destroy the headquarters and u win and u get all there resources so some bases are super easy. And this is even the same for player bases some are really easy just to skip and win. But other then that I love it. I wish there was more units and actual chaos factions and u its aswell!
This game was once great. It had great mechanics, great events, and great rewards for free-to-play. It has great horus heresy flavor combined with amazing RTS elements. Now it is terrible. The developers have abandoned it completely. No more events, no more rewards, no more technical support for servere bugs, nothing but the long arduous climb of progression. Turn back. Abandon hope all ye who enter here.
