Good game. Reminds me a lot of The Room series. I like the other game better as far as story line and controls are a bit easier. Sometimes you can be right on it and it's so finicky it won't let you continue unless it's absolutely perfect. Some of the puzzles were a bit difficult but mainly because of the controls issue. All in all great game though.
Took a little getting used to the movement. I have made it to the workshop, the 2nd stage (after the tutorial). The font innthe descriptions and hints is extremely small and could be a little larger, would also like a brightness slider. Other than, I like it. Graphics are good, and the puzzles so far seem to be well thought out... Probably gonna buy part 2.
Very enjoyable. Starts off simple, but the further you get, the more intricate the puzzles and solutions get. Would rate 5 stars, but as a multi-device owner, there is 1 feature that is lacking. There is no cloud save, so your progress is not synced across devices, which is annoying when you've reached the final chapter on one device and want to finish it on a different one.
After playing "The Room" series, I've been looking for something else to fill the vacuum of it. I bought this solely on reviews & I'm a little disappointed. It's visually stunning but the puzzles are clunky. Some clues you cant see if you move around, it comes down to stopping constantly to view items in your inventory for every new step. Some clues are not helpful at all. I dont like using clues constantly & this game seems to be unplayable without them. Too bad I bought both 1 & 2 already.
The initial premise and puzzles are intriguing but as the game progresses, the puzzles are not organic and complicated to the point just for the sake of it. The controls are so bad that almost once I every 10 mins or so I am out of the game due to persistent exit button. Then the icing on the cake is that the ending is totally unsatisfactory. Don't be so money minded. Advice to readers: just watch the gameplay in YouTube for some time pass. Avoid at all costs as it is not even close to Room.
An enjoyable game. Needed to turn up the screen brightness to see some of our clearly. Took me a little while to understand how to manipulate the objects; a bit more clarity in the tutorial would help. The hint system was needed to complete large chunks of the game; logic only goes so far. Worth a play if you're prepared to concentrate.
I was looking for something to scratch the itch left by The Room. Is this as good? No. Puzzles are a little obtuse and sometimes you just have to wait for a hint to tell you that you didn't spot that the third floor tile was 1 degree off and inputs aren't perfect. Not problems that the room never had but they're worse here. Also, if you're looking for deep historical fidelity, this is not the game for you. All that said, it does scratch the itch with fun visuals and generally solid puzzles.
Although a blatant homage/copy/rip-off of the fabulous "Room" series of games, that not necessarily a bad thing. The gameplay is very similar, read almost identical, and even the tone of the graphics. However, this wasn't The Room and despite being very enjoyable it does fall short: The clues are invariably too late and suggest something you've already done and the puzzles swing from the incredible simple to the extremely obtuse and random. The end was also very odd and was in dire need of a ' to be continued' notice. That said it was very enjoyable and anyone waiting for the next installment of the Room series, this is a fine stop-gap.
The premise of Da Vinci hiding stuff behind puzzles while being pursued by bad guys is a bit silly. But the puzzles are what you'd expect from a The Room-esque adventure, the execution is flawless, and the graphics is very good. Sometimes it's hard to find a hot spot on a phone screen, especially if it's a slide switch off a sort. This is where I used my hints. The puzzles themselves don't require hints and are pretty satisfying.
I enjoyed the game. Good storyline and puzzles. I withheld a star for a common complaint I have with this genre - difficulty is not so much with the puzzles but with the lighting. Too often, I know what is needed but I still have to resort to hints simply because I cannot see a dark object in a dark setting. I get that it might make the game easier, but is it possible to offer an option to brighten the scene for those of us whose vision is not so keen?
Great game, ingenious puzzles. I really have enjoyed it. but the hints are at times very poorly worded, using odd terms to describe items such as "serpentine groove" for something that was not that. And at times the puzzles are not great for a touch screen interface, making it very hard to manipulate devices. And of course there is that damn lunar calendar puzzle that I STILL cannot get past. I mean I'm not going to spend an hour retracing all those steps, that's just ridiculous.
Eventful and stressful. The graphics are amazing. Top notch for sure. I love that the puzzles are integrated in the game, and not some random side mini games. But, there were times where I was doing the right thing, but it wasn't acknowledging it, because I wasn't hitting the exact microscopic spot. Or rotating things, and the whole screen would move instead. That got frustrating. I wanted to reach in my phone to grip it properly. Also, the hints would tell me things I already did.
Great storyline. Fun and enthralling. Clever puzzles that challenge your processing abilities. Keen to see more from this developer! Only small problem were the controls not being as smooth and easy as possible. Quite often tapping on something wouldn't register and also I'd tap one area of the room but it'd take me far past it. But this is an easy fix that can be developed for the next instalment. Love the game still.
I like the graphics and the storyline is intriguing. Only three stars, though. The controls and the camera are so frustrating. I spent so much time tapping and sliding my finger around the screen, only to turn on the hints and find that I was looking in the right place but the object just wasn't reacting. Or that there was an area I could investigate but the camera didn't move there when I tapped before. Difficulty of puzzles is one thing, bad controls are another. Hope the sequel works better.
I've played all of the Myst and Room games, and was looking forward to this one because it looks very similar, but found it really frustrating. Sometimes you pinch to zoom OR double tap to zoom, but these actions don't always work. Sometimes a thing that looks interactive isn't, or "isn't yet" interactive, but it's hard to tell because the double tap/pinch doesn't always work. Some of the puzzles seem really arbitrary, and felt more like guessing than solving. At least the game looks nice.
Not quite on par with The Room, but very close. Puzzles were a little too disconnected at times, and controls were a little clunky at times (as others have mentioned) but never unplayable. I just found myself needing hints more than I would have liked, and often found that I would never have made the connection because there just wasn't really a logical thread connecting things. Overall a great game though.
fantastic puzzle game. controls sometimes a bit iffy, not quite as smooth to use as the "room" series but it's not a carbon copy of that series, it has it's own little innovations. I'd love to see more in the series, just like the "Room" series of games. graphics were wonderful but occasionally too dark. the puzzles were good too. Just the right difficulty for a fan of this type of game but could stump some players. I give this 5* as it was a great buy . congratulations guys!
Excellent 3D Puzzle Game. Fans of realMYST and THE ROOM games will feel at home here. Great graphics, intriguing gameplay and plot. Puzzles are just hard enough to engage you but not to frustrate you, so long as you pay attention to small details. The only drawback for me was some of the touch controls in certain areas. Hard to grip a slide control for instance and manipulate it. This was a minor issue really though. I love puzzle apps and I give this one a 9/10
I really wanted to love this game but the puzzles were at times very easy and others impossible. I like a challenge but impossible is not fun and I almost stopped playing the game in chapter seven when I reached the Astrolable puzzle. Once you set the moons correctly the rest was purely by chance. On the bright side I loved the graphics and the length of the game was great!
Well! I never thought any game could give The Room series a run for their money, but this does. It 'borrows' a lot of the style from The Room including the ocular device (there are two in this game). The puzzles are at times unique and although sometimes hard are not impossible - I appreciated the hints at some points. I think this is one of the best games of its kind out there and recommend it to everyone who likes a challenge.
As good as (if not better than) "The Room" series. The graphics are stunning, gameplay is gripping and exciting. My only issue, and it's a small one, is with the touch controls. It's almost as if you're playing on a PC and your mouse sensitivity is too high. Also requires you to be meticulously accurate when placing, rotating, or sliding different puzzle pieces. Like I said, this is a minute problem and should not stop you from buying this brilliantly executed game.
It's a decent copy of The Room. Graphically pleasing with some interesting scenarios. Where it falls short is in poor touch sensitivity. You find yourself tapping and dragging on a likely spot, give up, consult the hint, and find you were doing the right thing. Worth playing though, and I'll be interested to see what these guys do next.
Addictive game overall with some challenging puzzles. Graphics not as perfect as The Room but still very well rendered. Controls sometimes were a little clunky, and at times it was hard to figure out what to do next. There are multiple rooms with many puzzles to keep you occupied for days. Very derivative of The Room but still a great game in its own right. Very worthwhile purchase.
Exceptional Game, a must play! This game is very simular to the "Room" series. The puzzles are elaborate. The setting is elegant. The storyline is okay although it just remains uniform throughout the chapters. Some of the puzzles were quite difficult and needed a walkthrough. The best part of it is the long game play. The font was a bit small for old eyes but managed it.
I like what I've seen of this game so far. My only complaint, and it is personal choice, is the inverted controls; they are opposite to the way you want to look from the first person perspective... But only when you're zoomed out (when zoomed in the control works the way you would expect: left is left, up is up, etc). It would be good to have an alternative controls option. Other than that, I love the graphics and the ambient noses and music. Overall a solid, entertaining effort.
This is one of the best puzzle games I've played. The controls are VERY precise, which can be frustrating, but after the first few puzzles, you get the idea of how much to move things and it gets easier. The best part, for me anyway, is that it's based on some of DaVinci's actual inventions. Great game, lots of fun, just have patience when you start. I play on a Samsung Galaxy Fold Z2, so the size isn't an issue. However, it can be difficult to see some things. A torch would be a nice feature.
