It's pretty basic compared to similar chains like Dutch Brothers and Starbucks. You can search the base menu but it would be better if I could load gift card balances to my account and have a digital option to leave a tip for those times that I don't always have cash. I don't use it because I don't find much value in it.

It's a REALLY good idea. Very simple to pay with. Unfortunately, the employees don't really remind you to use the app (not why I gave the rating I did, just saying). The issue I have is that I was very excited to be able to check the menu out on the app. However, the menu feature is incredibly clunky and doesn't show everything. It doesn't seem up-to-date on seasonal beverages, either. I hope it gets a good update on the menu feature!

It's awesome that there's a reward program for human bean because it is really good coffee. However, additional features would be extremely helpful not only for customers but for your employees. For example having an option to order ahead. In addition, having a small note stating to add the tip before you scan and pay when you're at the actual location

Needs improvement. There isn't an option to customize notifications. I don't care for most of the notifications that pop up. The amount of money you have on your app shouldn't be in a weird place. It should also be somewhere in the scan barcode screen. The interface seems too... clunky to me. Half the app is just pictures. Why? The menu description could be better? It's like a lazy list of ingredients. All in all, it could be better.

The app constantly jumps when trying to scroll down or refuses to fit into the screen. I thought it would allow orders to be made via the app, but it does not, it just allows you to pay with a credit/debit card from a QR code instead of your card. Also the find a location always puts Texas in the middle of the screen, so if you don't live in Texas, you will have to move and zoom the screen manually. It's cumbersome and inconvenient. Lastly, the rewards don't work.

This is a rating for only the App. I feel it is not as user friendly as it should be. Example to enter your birthday you can't just type it in you have to use the calendar arrow a month at a time. Try having to go back 64 years. Also you can only turn off the auto usage of your reward right before your next purchase instead chosing when you want.

The app is not very user friendly. Iv looked and still have not found a way to add points from a transaction I missed. The menu is not very detailed and I can't order online. If those items were resolved it would be a much more pleasurable experience. On the other hand the coffee and service is excellent, I just wish their app was at the same level.

I drink a lot of Human Bean, but will be saying goodbye to the app and going back to the old fashioned stamp card. The app states $5 reward for every $55 you spend, but every time I make a purchase I receive considerably less credit on the app than the total of my purchases. Today, for example, I spent $16 and received roughly $5 in credit towards rewards. That makes the stamp card a better deal.

This app is terrible. Honestly what am I supposed to use it for. You don't really see their menu even though there is a menu option. They never update the menu with their seasonal items but yet there's an ad for it on the front page. You can't even order ahead with this app. I can't put my gift cards on there I can only put my credit card or debit card on there. This poor app needs to be updated ASAP!

Menu isn't super easy to navigate. And they don't include the food menu (muffin tops, burritos, bagels, oatmeal, etc.) Had trouble finding the "Scan" feature to scan the rewards code on my receipt (I forgot to have them scan the code on the app). Then the code wouldn't scan. 10 stars for excellent coffee and customer service, but only 3 stars for the be app.

This app is virtually useless. I rarely get a QR code when paying. I force stop and reopen, still nothing. Ended up paying with my debit card and didn't get any rewards. Update 3/29: Still ongoing issue with this app. Still won't give QR codes. Uninstalled/reinstalled and lost all of my rewards points i had earned. Last time I couldn't add points with receipt (QR on receipt didn't work). I submitted a ticket they weren't going to add them until I insisted. More complex apps work but this can't?

Terrible app experience. This app needs to be completely overhauled. I was so frustrated TRYING to use it, I reached out to my local shop to make them aware. You are unable to see correct menu items, and the app has so many glitches you aren't able to find or remain on a page for your local store. Very frustrating and I Uninstalled it.

Customer service is a joke, My app has had an issue going on three months now. I can't access my rewards and when I talk to them the say they are aware and it's been passed onto the senior team. And I only get a response when I message them. No updates sent booooo way to track to see if it's closer to being resolved. I have several rewards saved up and can't use them. This is not a reflection on human Bean they are great and are trying to help resolve the issue. I highly recommend human Bean.

How do you even order through this? Clicking menu>drink>location should allow you to buy it but it doesn't. Considering this is the only place you can get rewards (by buying in the app) this is a really important feature to make clear. Moreover, the map feature doesn't use location tracking. Why? Using 2 figures to navigate awkwardly all the way from Central US to the specific store I am trying to get to should not be necessary. I don't even see all the drinks on here.

It works, but isn't very user-friendly... The menu is super tiny, can't be read in portrait mode or switched to landscape mode, and offers no drink descriptions. The app menu icon (three bars) gets lost in the slideshow (white on white). The card balance and rewards balance are both on the rewards screen; the card balance does not display on the pay screen. The card balance reload option is *hidden* under Manage Cards > Payment Preference > Add Funds > + ... :/

The app doesn't work well. Tries scanning my drink for rewards but it won't work no matter how many times you try. Also, as others have mentioned, they do not have the full menu on the app. The app seems kinda worthless if you can't get rewards or see what you want to buy.

I'm having the same problem where the $5 reward is not showing up before i get to use it. I've contacted customer support and you guys did NOTHING to help me. Just told me basically it's user error. When my records are different than yours. I didn't get the choice to use my last reward at the counter, it was just used. It's the second time this has happened and I'll be sure to keep track of them in the future so i can stop losing my rewards. They just simply do not show up in rewards.

Currently my QR code is blurry but still works for scanning though sometimes it takes several attempts and I can't access the rewards or status pages without the app crashing which it does every single time. I used to love it but at the moment it doesn't work reliably and sadly since the punch cards are gone this is now your only option. Will change my review when I can access my entire app again.

The app will tell me there is a notice about a special. When I click on it, nothing shows up. The messages are cut off on the left and right. You can't see a full menu. Really, it is only good for paying. The rewards work part of the time. For instance, I had five dollars in rewards. I went to use them. The rewards disappeared but I was charged the full amount.

It's functional. I don't like having apps for every store in existence... Something to consider. I get notifications for stuff. But I can never read the entire notification. I click it and it takes me to the app. But never shows me the rest of the notification. The app doesn't even have a section to review notifications it's sent you.

The menu within the app sucks. It doesn't even list everything that the store carries, and it's definitely not user friendly to be able to navigate. The banners scroll too fast, not giving enough time to read what they say.

I love the no contact option for paying. Two things keep me from giving 5 stars. Their systems struggle to read the screen when scanning. Second is I get notifications with partial message, if I click on it it opens the app and nothing related to what popped up is there.

'Leveling up" or adding money to your app is not user friendly, also app doesn't show an avail balance just a transaction history. Doesn't show how many point have been accumulated or how yo redeem said points. The Dutch Bros app has a much nicer layout and is much more effective.

Love Human Bean but the app/rewards is a joke. I've spent $222.11 there & only received $17.75 in rewards. The app hardly lists the menu so aside from their typical items, you never know their holiday drinks or options. This would be fine but most of the time they take your order curbside, you don't know what they have, & neither does staff. This last round I spent the $55 to get a $5 reward, they sent the email,& when scanned I got $2.75 credit.Notified support & they didn't even try to fix it.

Very poorly made app, you can't even order ahead from it and the menu is slow and clunky. Overall it just seems like there was no effort put into the application. Let me know and I can gladly build a better app for this franchise.

Can't turn off notifications. I get an email and a push notification for every single purchase through the app. Add the transaction notification from my credit card, and that's 3 for every single purchase. Give the option to turn notifications (especially email) off in the app.

Amazing baristas and great coffee!! This app works great and allows for customization!!! One thing I find odd, is when i receive a notification of a deal (like bogo) I click on it to see it in the app and get more information and it disappears. So if I don't read it or get it through the notification bar only, I can't see it on the app?

Information is hard to see. Part of the display gets cut off on the screen and there's no way to zoom out to make it smaller or adjust it to my screen. Other than that, the app is easy to use.

There is an inherent design flaw of the App applies earned rewards credit while purchasing any product from Human Bean. From my experience, their cashier system applies the reward credit unsolicited. The App design vulnerability enables the Barissta to collect the applied credit, as their tip; where the consumer still pays full price unknowingly their cashier system deducted the credit reward. IF you use the App, be consumer aware that you may not be the recipient of the rewards program.

Nice app, just wish there was a place to view notifications. When I get a push notification it usually only opens the app, doesn't show what the notification was referring to do most of the time I miss what the notification was about.
