The Jackbox

Pretty sure I already made a review but must not have gone through. Fun but has a few things that are amiss. No timer, so hard to tell when you will lose. Calibration is slightly off and so the precision you need to grab stuff is annoying. Some puzzles don't offer any hints. Got stuck on one puzzle where there weren't too many options as to what to do and yet it wouldn't complete. No idea what was happening. Tbh, pretty good game. Just a few things I would change

Puzzles are uninteresting and not difficult. The ones that are difficult are only that because of clunky controls or the timer. Speaking of the timer, it's a terrible feature on levels that involve trial and error. The first medium level has a "puzzle" which is actually a simple memory game, you have to try to move a knob while avoiding a spike that moves at the same time, and it moves in the same pattern so you just have to keep trying and failing until you get it right.

There are 3 boxes you can play for free.(Red, Green & Blue) This WAS a 5 Star puzzle game playing the Red box levels. Yet, as you progress to the Green box they shorten the time you have to complete all 3 sides of the box, forcing you to watch their ads. (4 stars) Then it gets worse, they add annoying blackouts, and pop-up clown faces to further shorten your time and force you to watch MORE ADS to complete. (3 stars) Level 24, I uninstalled, no option to skip randomly clicking 9 squares puzzle!

Games fun and all but there's no explanation on how you get the second puzzle piece of each level to finish the puzzles for each lot of levels. Some sides of the each cube really differ in level which I'm not complaining about just some seemed a little too easy for medium levels. Then there are some puzzles I just couldn't figure out so had to just guess and even once figured out i still didn't know what the actual solution was. Overall it's a good game especially if you liked birdcage.

Puzzles are generally way too easy but finding additional puzzle pieces is almost impossible. They totally blend in with the background so you have to blindly tap every little bit of screen hoping to find the right spot and the box rotates if you tap too close to the edges so constantly accidentally rotating the box and then have to rotate it back to continue tapping. Out of 20 levels played so far, I've found 4. Very frustrating, poorly designed game.

Would have deleted if I wasn't a completionist. I hated that every 2 seconds the box was jumping or spinning or that your screen gets "dirty." You lose your place or mess up the puzzle. When looking for puzzle pieces, you need to click around but it'll change the box if you click too much. The pieces can't be seen. Liked the graphics. Hated everything else. Stick to birdcage. I'm disappointed I spent money on this tbh.

I removed a low rating for this game in order to better rate it. I had problems with the puzzle pieces and even seeing on YouTube where they were. Turns out, they are NOT where they were on there. So I decided to tap around and finally found one. I was able to collect all 20 pieces for the first 3 stages. Those rating it low for this reason, try harder, they are there. Why the 3 stars? 1 : The puzzle pieces are WAY too hard to find on many levels. They almost completely blend in and it was random tapping to find it. 2 : I get that the first few level packs are free, but they are entirely too easy and got a little monotonous. I can't justify the price for the last 3 packs hoping they are more complex.

A bit like rubik's cube with multiple games on each side. I suppose that's why these games are so popular. Creepy. Just like rubik's cube each side has a unique set of games to solve and as usual we have our favourite sides which we repeatedly play on. But if they were all the same favourites we wouldn't advance or be amused for so long. Nice to to return to the more difficult parts later or in a few months time. Even the simple puzzles can be enjoyable without the strain of thinking so hard.

The initial levels are for the very slow guys as like AUTISTS. But the last one free level has the elements of the momental memory that is required to memorize fast pressed buttons. It has its difficulties. But I dislike the game. I better uninstall it. Thanks for free trail.

The game itself is entertaining but I'm not going to waste my time and definitely not my money if all the components of the game aren't there. I watched videos of how to get the second puzzle piece on the first few levels after trying a few times and realized it wasn't that I was missing them it was just that they weren't there. Not sure if this is a ploy to get you to pay but the only thing paying says it does is remove adds. This game will get frustrating very fast due to missing components.

Absolute trash the puzzles are not challenging at all. The jack in the box vibe has nothing to do with the puzzles and it's merely an annoyance. Puzzles appear to be timed however the screen randomly goes black and the box jumps taking up the little time you have to finish the puzzles. Do not recommend. Do not waste your time.

Oh my word, what an irritating game! No seriously! The constant interruption from that infuriating clown was source of much frustration to me. All that said, this was one of those games that kept you coming back for more if only to complete the increasing diffecult puzzles. Loved the game and fortunately it was worth completing in the end. Great colourful graphics and story. Genuinely challenging, but enjoyable to play.

I saw this when it was being trialled,but it was full,so added to my wishlist. I checked every few days until I could download . . .and I wasn't disappointed!! The mini heart attack when my time is running out makes this game a nail biter 😂 and the hint option where you have to watch an ad is a fab idea because I only use them if I'm REALLY stuck. Love it.

I do like the game but thought this would be a more horror type feel and doesnt feel scary. Same Great puzzle solving gameplay as Birdcage games and Does give a sense of urgency for its time limits though not sure if by accident but times vary, barely made it through one level after multiple tries as it seemed to be less than a minute and that was only during the second box of second pack. Otherwise its great just needs some tweaking.

At first this game was a decent, 3-4/5 star simple puzzle game. The box rattling was obnoxious but it was tolerable as a gameplay element. Then level 30 happens. Imagine you're playing one of those early 2010s space shooters on your phone. Now imagine that occasionally a toddler slaps your phone and moves your hand. Now imagine there is a random jump scare that not only is annoying, but it resets your progress every. Single. Time. That's why this is a two star game.

It is a great game! Nice puzzles, quite challenging, lovely and smooth graphics, impeccable controls, and the added scare threat is keeping me on my toes! Well done: considering buying it if you are on Steam (Birdcage too).

I love this game! I like this genre of games, but the puzzles in this game are a nice change. Difficult enough but not sleepless-night, going round in your head stuff. Don't get me wrong, it's difficult enough! Yeah, would definitely recommend.

I waited for this since the trial was full and I'm happy I added it to my wishlist. A little frustrating at times but fun nonetheless love it. A little disappointed that all the puzzle pieces arent there that is why I didn't give 5 stars I actually would purchase if it wasn't for that flaw

Blue box level 24 can't finish side with all the buttons on it. I watched the hint tried that as fast as I could press all urge buttons in order with the background light on I still can't finish that side. Please fix!

I like the game. Only did "freebies". Very frustrating level 27!! Gave up. Didn't seem to have any logic on the 9 square thing. Wish the time allowance was longer though. I was always SO close. Lol

INFURIATING FUN! If I could get my hands on that clown!!! Yet I keep going back (multiple times a day!) just to be heckled by him again & again. So I MUST love this puzzle app! However I might not be heckled as much if the gameplay / control ... mechanics? Were more sensitive. it often takes multiple swipes 2 get results from the handles and levers. (Cue that damn clown) STILL, I would recommend this to any puzzle player

I love this game but the jigsaw pieces are not there. I watched other people playing it on line and the pieces are there but not on my game. I've tried uninstalling it 3 times but it makes no difference. I would have given it 5 stars if I wasn't having this problem

While the puzzles themselves are fine, the gimmick of the clown popping up when you run out of time just isn't fun. It just gets in the way of solving the puzzles.

Overall good game. A skip level function would be nice and an option to turn off or delay timer would make it better.

Slow and not challenging at all. No real 'puzzling' . It's very linear, simplistic, and not challenging - which equals not fun. It's soooooo simple that I honestly felt 'dumbed' down while playing this. Mind numbingly dumb.

Interesting game but as I see it not explained how you get the second puzzle piece as it is not depended on speed, second of all it is way too expensive for a mediocre game to buy all levels not worth it.

Seems like a really awesome game, unfortunately doesn't load and freezes. Should really sort it out before releasing to the public.

The thing I don't like is that the game isn't too smooth making it difficult to both move and select things (could just be my device) other than that it's good.

The Jackbox is easier than The Birdcage and Doors. The Jackbox clown jumped out at me twice so far and that was fun. I do like The Birdcage and Doors better.

Pretty good game it is challenging ,as you go to more levels it does get harder to figure it out an with the adds. Sometimes it still don't give you a hint.other than that I would have have it 5 stars
