THE LEGO® MOVIE 2™ Movie Maker

This is a pretty good app, but differentiates from the Lego Stop Motion Movie Maker (Please bring it back) from a long time ago, which isn't bad. The only problem I have with this app which NEEDS to be fixed is that you can't view the video while adding animated clips to the video. That's bad because when you have a completed video but the animations are not on point, it ruins the experience and you have to start from scratch.

Frankly this is a pathetic app. Here are my observations after making one movie with my kid with the 70820 movie maker set. 60 seconds time limit of the "movie"?!? The recorded clips can only be rearranged, not cropped, so the editing part is a lie. Only four special effects... why even bother? Doesn't record sound and can only add sounds from the internal library. No music. I would be grateful if someone can recommend an alternative app.

Takes forever to process each video, no menu, so it takes forever to create each clip. Then, after spending 30+ minutes creating a one minute video the app crashed and we lost all of the clips and have to start over. This app is terrible, which therefore makes the movie maker set pretty disappointing. Skip this app and juat make a stop motion video using your camera and editing software.

It does not work. Error every time a stop motion movie is attempted. Special effects and sounds do not work in produced movie. Only thing that will allow a production is a continuously recorded clip, but with no sound or effects added. Tried reinstalling and on 2 different devices, including a Google Pixel 3XL. Unfortunate, as this is a big part of what you're buying in the lego movie maker set. Obviously, didn't get what I paid for.

Good idea, bad outcome. The idea was amazing, an official LEGO stop motion app is a good idea! But it had some problems, such as: When I made a video for the competition, I wanted to save my video and return to it later, but my HOURS of hard work were wasted because there was no way to come back and edit the video. The effects were limited. And the graphics could have been a lot better. I wouldn't recommend installing, but the idea is cool. Just improve on it.

As guided by Lego team, we have uninstalled the app and then reinstall it but still we are facing issue. If we add sound effects in our video and try to save it, it ends up with an error 'Oops something went wrong'. Can you please look into this issue as you have already told that bug has been fixed but it is still showing. Could you please look into it on priority.

I was very proud of the first version of lego movie maker, this one is really minimal but I feel nostalgic and decide to give it a try. There is no way to export your video without uploading to their server, this is a BIG no thanks LEGO. You are doing it wrong. File are not store anywhere in the device, in order to record the video you probably have to usb debug the phone. If you decide to give up your privacy and data you can decide to upload the video to be manually checked, in 3 years nobody will be able to use this app when lego decide to stop paying the manual reviewer. Well done lego. I'm really upset.

If I could put negative star rating I would. Installed app and watch intro video with my sin and we were super excited to make our first video. After more than an hour of setup and taking snaps to make a 12 sec video we tried to submit and gots ops something went wrong. We could not do anything, could not add effects as everytime we wanted to change between snaps, video or effects it just deletes everything. This app is a complete let down from a reputable brand.

this app is GREAT!! except 1. you can't record sound 2. you can't download your movies. (I wanted to edit and merge my movies with other movies on another app I've got but I can't) 3. the app's sound effects don't come at the PRECISE point in my movie. VERY disappointing. I'm still keeping it tho because it's the only toy movie making app. 😡 Thanks for the downloading tip!!!

This app is garbage! We've tried many times to make a movie but the app closes unexpectedly. Also, when we're finished taking pictures and we're ready to finalize the movie to begin editing, it loads for a few seconds and then says, "Oops, something went wrong!" We are able to save and work on very short videos only. We got 3 short videos done and I uploaded them and that worked but when I tried to download them to my phone, I got the same Oops message. Why??? No explanation for the Oops message

I am an experienced Lego Movie Maker on the ios version. Perhaps the "original" app. Compared to the old one, you have better options to share. Instead of just only public only in the same app, sharing on the old one gives you an option to save it to your photo gallery, Youtube, or social media. You can also go for as long as 8+ minutes in snap shooting. Having a 60 seconds limit time takes away the fun of creative thinking and isn't really great. I advise a fix up pronto. 👎

Downloaded this for my boys, both left very upset twice after starting a movie, walked away to do something else and when they came back to continue making their movie, it disappears. Doesn't appear to be a way to save as you go, so you can come back and finish later. Correct me if I'm wrong, as I would prefer to have missed something?

Having spent all afternoon making a movie with my sons it now won't save and is stuck telling me not to close the app. We've spent hours on this, starting out with drawing a story board etc and now it won't do anything at all. Really frustrated with it all and my boys are super upset that they can't see the finished result. Poor and incredibly upsetting for all involved, especially for a set that cost so much in the first place and something we were so looking forward to doing together.

This app is maddening, son spent an hour making a cool movie and I've spent a day trying to figure out how to show people his work... Where is the file saved after movie has been completed with effects and sound? Why can't I just copy it from there to Google Drive? I tried the upload and download on 2 different devices, 1 uploaded but won't download it now, other device won't upload it at all, just stuck at being reviewed status. I logged in with his lego id on both devices. Also, when you go to uploads, why can't I search for movies I uploaded? At least that way I could show them on a TV screen through Fire stick or Chromecast.

good app for kids but I'm getting "oops! Something went wrong" each time when I trying to share result. What isn't informative and doesn't help to solve the problem. I have tried multiple videos and under different conditions, but result was the same

Edited to 5 stars from one.. support does respond and worked hard to fix my issues.. I loved it until they started rejecting our videos for no reason, I can't even find where the raw files are stored so I can save the rejected videos to my cloud drive. My grandkids made these and I want to save them. We are all so frustrated with this app in my family because of this. I uninstalled and re-installed, doing this wiped out everything. Extra star for customer service, they do respond.

We cannot get the special effects to save onto our video at all, after trying it multiple times. It just plays the video without the effects after we finish. It would also be helpful to have a tutorial explaining how and when to apply the effects.

Im having an super-duper annoying bug!💻When I made an awesome video about Jurassic world I used effects and music, but according to my tablet it will not work! I have been writing to you about this a lot of times but you did not answer my questions! I really would appreciate it if you fixed this and I don't want to get another tablet! App keeps crashing on multiple devices. My boy loves the functionality but if you try to save anything with music or effects added, it crashes instantly on both my OnePlus and his Galaxy Tab. It can save videos with no effects on so it isn't a permission issue

Same problem as everyone else. As soon as you add an effect the app either says oops something went wrong or stuck on saving please don't close the app screen. Also tried on my wife's phone and same issue. Both Android. Really disappointed as this was part of a Birthday present ☹️

They really dummed it down from the first one. Most of the settings I knew and loved are gone. The first lego movie app could be used to make good quality lego stopmotion, but this monstrosity is designed to be simple for kids to the point of them getting bored after one video. Hope you add an update or something to bring the quality back, but until then, this app is staying uninstalled.

App works well for two videos. Once I try to save a third it never finished. Had to uninstall and reinstall to make new videos. Once again it doesn't finish. Extremely frustrating experience.

I don't think that part that says all stop motion needs to be taken out, is good. Because people can not see their awesome videos and it is much more harder to put the Minifigures on a clear stick. The stick always falls off.

Just reinstalled 3 times because every time you add ANY effect it won't complete the movie and crashes. ANY effect! This seems like it's been a problem for awhile, after looking at other reviews. I'm very disappointed in Lego for not having this problem fixed already; about as disappointed as my 6 year old is that he can't make his movie AWESOME! I've tried all the tricks listed in these comments to no avail, now it's time for Lego and the developer to FIX IT ON THEIR END-NOW

We do all the work and at the end it does not save it, it only saves without effects. Kids were very disapointed and cried, waist of time. Come on Lego, you can do it better! We installed and uninstalled twice.

Get to the "making your video this will take a few seconds" screen but it doesn't go through. I have un and re-installed the App. The actual making of the video is decent but it's sadly let down at the final hurdle.

I'm using the most recent version of the app. I only installed it on Friday. My device has plenty of storage. The responses from 'Lego' here as if they're talking to children are really not helping matters. I've had to uninstall as it was crashing my device and draining battery at the point I tried to finish making the movie. I've now lost the movie clips my nephew and I spent time making on Friday.

I have submitted my video for moderation and it was passed. but i still cant save my video into my phone. they is a save button at lower right of my video thumbnail but nothing happen after i click on it, in fact the button doesnt seem to work at all. please fix this
