The Letter is an interactive, horror/drama visual novel inspired by classic Asian horror films. Told through an immersive branching narrative, the game puts the players into the shoes of seven characters as they find themselves falling prey to a vicious curse plaguing the Ermengarde Mansion for centuries.
In this game, your choices will shape and drive the story forward: will you mend a relationship on the verge of collapse, or will you let it fall apart? Will you risk saving them, despite the consequences, or leave them to die a gruesome death? The fate of all the characters is in your hands.

The graphics are amazing, really good story but I will like to the game to be able to be played offline Also that the chapter of the main character wasn't the only one to be free
WARNING...just when you start to get into this....you have to buy the rest! Yep like 2 chapters are free...then ooops pay up or your done. Guess Im done. I do not mind supporting games I like, I buy things in games I like all the time. But no way will I be forced onto it. Sorry it wasnt THAT good.
It's pretty good, but the best but I don't regret buying it. Not very scary unless you're paying it alone in the dark at midnight. It gets a bit boring at parts and there's a glitch with kylie in two of the scenes where she's 'possessed' but the pictures are switched which ruins the effect a bit. I just started my second playthrough and i live how different everything is when you make different choices. I look forward to getting everything.
Wonderful read. Beautifully animated backgrounds and well put together story. Many choices to make and many outcomes. Your decision carries weight. The one black mark against this app is the fact that it continues to keep crashing over and over when booting up after a fresh install. Developers were pretty responsive in my case and helped solve the problem, thanks.
This is honestly the best game I have ever played! Exceptional roleplay, stirred emotions, brilliant graphics and audio- I couldn't of had asked for more. Though, I did find that sometimes the character wouldn't say their line despite restarting my device which was disappointing though I still absolutely love this game. I would love to see you do another visual novel! Thanks so much for the awesome experience :)
By far the best game I've ever played, definitely worth buying. It's a long game, much reading and MANYY choices to make. You could play this for hours straight and still not finish it. It's the most fun to restart and play the different options to see what happens when you kill of a certain character. It's really interesting!! Really recommend!!
Absolutely an awesome game! Loved the storyline! The animations, graphic is really good and the voice acting makes it even better. It's also really easy to play (just need to read and tap! ) Though I would have been really happy if there was maybe 2-3 more free chapters, but then again i understand you need to earn money and have profit so its okay! :) Amazing game, totally recommend to install!! <3
Played and beat this a long time ago, still the best visual novel experience you can play on a phone. High quality voice acting, tense moments, multiple paths to take and unlock and pretty artstyle really make this shine above the rest. I just wish there was more, I've played the prequel but it's not quite the same.
While the voice acting may not be up there with Academy Award winning films it is decent enough and the atmosphere itself is brilliant. Takes a while to get into but if you stick with it you'll be rewarded with a robust cast of characters and a thrilling story with the same creep-factor of the Japanese classics like The Ring and The Grudge. Definitely in the dark with headphones in!
This game is worth the price. Holy S*** the art style is funominal, not to even mention that the text of character's speaking is voice over. The voice overs is expertly done as well. And the way the story is told is a very fastinising way that work really well. when I download this app i expect it to be like other visual novels, but it went above my expectations. If anyone is thinking of downloading the app I highly encourage you do so, you will not be disappointed.
The plot and everything is nice, especially the graphics, the voice acting, and character development (Isabella) worth to be praise worthy for... Well, only for the first chapter since i have to pay for unlocking the second or all of the chapters. I want to continue but I can't since I didn't realize that this app needs the player to pay P73 for the second chapter and P349 for the rest of it, but regardless of that this is one of my favorite visual novels I ever get to experience considering it is my first time reading and playing one. Still, I didn't expect that I still need to pay for the rest of the chapters in order to dig deeper to the story.... but still I like it
I love the story! Its amazing but the only thing i hate about the app is that u have to spend actual money to play the next chapter, and im just a kid so i dont have money to pay for it. Other than that i absolutely love it.
One of the greatest visual novels ever. Beautiful art, fantastic voice acting. Amazing, thrilling and appealing story. Fun characters, that actually feel like people. I love every aspect of it. First I played it on my PC. I am giving the mobile version a shot now, since I want a good game to keep me company while traveling.
One of the best visual novels I have played! This game is just as good as the Steam version on PC. I finished all of the endings but to be honest, the true ending really took one month to get it. Some of the other shippers might argue but I actually ship Isabella and Ashton. To all the people who said that this game is just full of dialogues, of course it was meant to be that because this game is a VISUAL NOVEL and also the game is worth the price! 💯/10
I love this game really much!! Gave me a lot of nightmare fuel which I truly enjoy and it made me emotionally attached to each and every one of the characters. Definitely worth it to pay for the other chapters. However, I have a request. Currently, I'm using an OPPO R15 pro and the visuals does not fit my entire screen. It would be great if you're able to fix this to enjoy a more immensive gameplay.
ANYONE PLAYING READ PLEASE, I've already played and finished this over 2 years ago but PLEASE SAVE SAVE SAVE ALL THE TIME, if you mess up you lose characters or progress and its horrific, not to spoil but you should try your best if you play the whole game to walk out with all characters. Just thought I'd say this before I download it again. The story moved me so much to the point until this day I couldn't go near it again. When I was playing this couldn't have restful sleep for a while.
I loved the game in general. I found myself staying up later because I was so interested. But the day after I installed it (today) and got to playing, my phone started acting a little different, changing my lock screen to some sort of weird version of my homescreen, it had this data cleaner, something directing me to a different app, and it just..wasn't right to me. I'm not sure if this was from this app, but I hope to god I get it fixed soon.
I really enjoyed this game the art style the music even the voice acting was a solid experience except for the writing the storys great and the characters are decently put together but the pacing is ridiculously slow to the point where suspense is lost in the wait. I also feel some scenes could have been were wholly unnecessary and just pad out the run time. Still a better story than twilight though 😬
the game so far is great, i only did the first chapter and i am going to be honest here i was a little pissed that you had to buy the other chapters but the first chapter itself was so amazing. i was blown away by the art style,also it is great that there were voice actors. over all it was pretty good
