The Little Prince

The Little Prince is a poetic tale, with watercolour illustrations by the author, in which a pilot stranded in the desert meets a young prince fallen to Earth from a tiny asteroid. The story is philosophical and includes societal criticism, remarking on the strangeness of the adult world. It was written during a dark, restless, but productive period for Saint-Exupéry after he fled to North America subsequent to the Fall of France during the Second World War, witnessed first hand by the author and captured in his memoir Flight to Arras.Though ostensibly a children's book, The Little Prince makes several profound and idealistic observations about life and human nature.

Chapter 21 has Cyrillic text so I did what another reviewer did and downloaded another app to read the section only to find that there is no text missing, only very confusing Cyrillic text in the chapter. Also, chapter 16 has South America twice in a row. What I DO like are the original illustrations. Fix the text and I am sure you will have a beloved app.

It has a passage in Russian ò.ò And that is when I downloaded another version to finish reading it. Other than that I appreciated the original drawings, but not the blue sky background. And it would be nice to have the dialogues reported in a better way. Still... Thank you, I wanted to read it in English.

Loved the book. There is a paragraph in russian in Chapter 21. However the same paragraph is follwed by an English version, so dear readers you are not missing anything. No need to download other versions
