The Lockpicking Screen

Lock-Picking Screen, inspired by the mega hit RPG The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. This app replaces your default lockscreen, with a fully interactive Lock featured in Skyrim. You must use your lockpicking skills to pick the lock open to use and unlock your phone.
This app is overrides your current lock-screen. To disable Lock-Picking Screen and use your original default unlock settings, open the application and toggle the disabled option.Note: This app is not as secure as using the pin or pattern lockscreens. An intruder or theif can unlock and use your phone with Lock-Picking Screen (Given that they are skilled enough). This app is merely meant to be for entertainment.

I like it, its a bit hard even on "noob" but i can get used to it. One big downside to this app is that you can just press "Back" or "Home" button on your phone and just exit it like its regular app. Also even if someone didnt notice that, you can still acces Messenger chat head and the bar at the top (i dont know whats its called). Try to fix this.

It's a nice idea, and I would love it if it worked, but it doesn't work the way it should. Instead of locking the screen, it keeps the bottom bar on so anyone can get into it. Please don't tell me its an abandoned project, this would be an amazing thing if you could make it into a real lock screen.

Not interesting for long mainly because the lock turns the same distance regardless of how close or far I am from the sweet spot. That leaves you tweaking the turn just a touch and if the upper pick doesn't shake you have it. Perhaps there are some audible clues I haven't noticed. Love the idea and it looks nice.

Sadly you can close the app just by clicking the buttons below. It would be better if it was completely secure. Please put into consideration the buttons at the bottom and try to fix it so that it can't be closed and the only way to get pass it is to pick it. Please make it so that you cant just pick s button and get into your phone. I am kindly asking for a update in whitch it keeps people out properly

Works incredibly well. I opened the app and it sent to the settings screen. Takes a second to load up, where you can still enter a pin quickly, with the lockpick still showing up. Clicking the home button just sends it to the original lock screen, but doesn't open the phone. It'd be great if there was a limited amount of lockpicks you could use at one time, and the home screen thing. Otherwise, a great app. Will recommend.

I'm using this on my android tablet. The best method I found is if I set my lock screen settings set to "swipe" because once I "pick the lock it" opens my tablet. With a PIN or password I still have to type it in any way. I have the difficulty set to join because I feel like I'm going to get locked out of my tablet because they were so difficult. I really like it and the way I have it set up is the best way for me. 4 out of 5 stars from me.

I found it hilarious just pretending I needed to pick this lock to get into my phone. Great for showing your friends, but nooooot the best security... again, just for entertainment. Though, it would make a fantastic lock screen if you know you won't just throw your phone after a few pick breaks.

Its a brilliant idea and I'm already entertained with it. I'd like the ability to change the background bc I use a 10" tablet and the background image just looks wretched all blown up. And it would be nice if it worked with the tablet being held horizontal and not just vertical. Looking forward to future updates!

I panicked all day and had to contact a phone unlocking service! I fretted and attempted to open it, (on noob difficulty) when I pressed the home button... WELL WHAT DO YA KNOW? The phone unlockers thought I was a prank caller! So overall, overly difficult and UNFAIR unlocking, easily overridden, panic inducing, nothing like skyrim's lockpicking. Edit: If you told people they had to look for where the pick did not shake, and made it more secure, so that you actually had to unlock it. PS. Check your spelling, I noticed 'thief' wast misspelt.

Its fantastic, but a bit laggy and would be amazing if there were more options to choose from, like having it come up when someone trys to access your photos and other apps you want locked, of course with the added feature of selecting the area where the lock can be opened. Being able to choose where to open the lock would be much more benaficial to the phones owner and challenging to people who dont know. If the app gets that update I would pay for that feature.

This app works perfectly fine and even if you hit the back button or the home key it just reverts to whatever security you have set up. I'm not too sure what issues everyone else is having because this app stacks with every security feature of all standard phones.

It's awesome and enjoyable and I like that you can set the difficulty. There are some issues though, the top pick does not always rotate all the way to the right edge of the screen. Which is annoying when the sweet spot is there. The fact that you can just home button out takes away from real security and makes the app more aesthetic than an actual lock. Overall nicely done, I also like the way the pick breaks in the direction of the sweet spot just like in skyrim. :D thanks a lot SPB

I see nothing wrong with this and my friends don't play the elder scrolls, so this is a win win, my only suggestion is that you can make your own sweat spot that Noone else knows, so it would really be like a lock that only you know

I'm giving you 5 stars for this. It's not perfect, but it's good. Really good. And, being a HUGE Skyrim fan, I think it's just an awesome idea. Between this, the Atom Launcher (using the icons from the Rail Yard theme) and some of my personal Skyrim screenshots I have created a near perfect Skyrim theme. And for that I must give a good rating.

OK first problem is that it's not secure it shouldn't be able to leave by using buttons on the screen second is that the lockpick should not break once it stops It should be good for an second or two third and final is that the hard easy and medium are too easy it should be good if you make medium and hard harder

I think it'd be better if you can set the lock's sweet spot, and even multiple sweet spots the further into the turn, so if it's your phone, you can unlock it, also if you need to answer a call or something their needs to be a cancel key for you to turn it off and use a pin

Alright so the app says this lock overrides your current lock screen, however mine just lays over my lock screen. This is really nice because even if someone can get past the link ck picking challenge they still need to go through a second, more secure lock. His also gives off the initial wow factor I was looking for in this app because its the first thing people see when I grab my phone. Plus hitting home bypasses to normal lock screen if you aren't in the mood.

I love this app! I know a lot of people complain about being able to skip the lock but I still have my normal pin so even if they successfully unlock it they still have my pin. Anyway, the app is quite fun and I've challenged everyone (even my dad who plays Skyrim) to try it. I do have to things I'd like to propose. One is that the app should kill itself after being unlocked so you don't have to manually kill it. Two would be to add the signs of getting the lock. I'm fine with the way it is because it's challenging but it still would be nice. Also as a troll you could put how many lock picks you have but they won't actually affect your tries. This would be extremely funny just thinking about someone trying to break into my phone raging because they ran out of picks. Anyway, great job on the lock!

Its not even as close as the real fallout 4 pick locking. At least give 3 bobby pins for fail lockdowns

Jac. K. Jul 17, 2014

Needs to be a way to set the lock thanks for the waste of space plus you just haft to hit home and it's over rode

Ale. R. Mar 15, 2015

Needs to actually alter how far the knife goes when you're closer and, when I finally got it, it crashed.

And. T. Apr 6, 2015

For the noob level, it's pretty easy, actually. All you need to do is to position the lockpick somewhere, then try to turn the lock, (don't turn it completely) but if the pick rattles, then try another position. When you position the pick and it doesn't rattle, then that's when you can open it. Works for me every time.

I would like to be able to set it to not be overridden by home and to choose the sweet spot. This would actually make it a lock. This and some obvious improvements( not going the same distance regardless of sweet spot, moving smoother, not lagging, etc.) would make this app worth five stars.

Bra. A. Dec 28, 2015

You cant use two fingers. The lock pick snaps in an instant, not a warning and I couldn't even find the unlock. It changes everytime one snaps.

Cod. B. Jul 25, 2016

I love the idea, I just wish the bottom bar wouldn't come up its to easy to override also I would love it if you had a limited number of picks and once you run out then you would have to wait about five minutes to get more, however overall I love it!
