The Lullaby Trust Baby Check
The Lullaby Trust Baby Check was developed from a 4-year project which analysed the signs and symptoms of illness in over 1,000 babies under 6 months of age. There were 300 well babies at home and 700 babies in hospital with a variety of illnesses. All signs and symptoms were analysed to find the combination which could be used to assess the severity of a baby’s illness with the most accuracy. The 19 signs and symptoms now used in Baby Check were found to give the most accurate assessment.
The accuracy and acceptability of The Lullaby Trust Baby Check has been tested in several field trials.

The text about temperature has been changed from the advice given in the original Baby Check booklet and now complies with current National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) guidelines.

Excellent app. Past reviews are now outdated - works fine on Android and this app was instrumental in supporting my decision to take my daughter to hospital when she desperately needed it. A must have for parents.
Cannot recommend this enough. Did the check a few times over some days as my then 4 week old had a bad cold. I got really worried and on the last check through it was advised to seek immediate help. Called 111 and we were in hospital for 5 nights with bronchiolitis. This was a life saver for my Alfie as went through all the steps to check
was recommended by our Health Visitor, but as others have said the Android version of the app doesn't work! either crashes it keeps repeating the first question! will be emailing the Lullaby Trust
As other people have said its impossible to use as it just returns you to the home screen after question 1. I had it on iOS and it worked perfectly, but its broken on android.
App doesn't work Can only abswer the first question, then it returns to the home screen. After doing this 3 times the app crashed.
By reading it sounds like a super useful app, but it doesn't work, I can't get it to begin the 19 questions as it keeps returning me to the home screen
Dont bother if you have android. Doesn't work and returns you to the main screen every time you select to start a check.
Note that most of these reviews are outdated and the app's issues have been resolved, it's working perfectly and this is hugely valuable.

Went to start the check and the app would close. Rubbish app.
Answered 0 (green) on all questions as baby is fine. App has told me that my baby is only a little unwell now, should I be worried???

really good app on iPhone, so downloaded it when i moved to an android, however as others seem to be finding it doesnt work at all on my phone, when i try to start answering questions it returns to the initial options again. As it stands completely useless app for android phones.
