The MeatStick - TRUE Wireless Meat Thermometer

It's so frustrating to have to rate this app so low, but it's competition's (Meater) app is SOO much better. Especially when it comes to past cooks: the Meater app lets you take notes during your cook and you can stamp each note with a time and temps. MeatStick just gives you a graph with no context. It's honestly super disappointing because the hardware here is so good. But until they focus on their software, I'm going to stick to Meater.

After 3 enjoyable cooking experiences my meatstick has failed. Contacting customer service the only response was "sorry". The device is reported to have a 1 year warranty? 3 Cooks is about a month. I love the product, but 3 cooks is not an OK product experience.

Fragile as hell!! I had one of the two I originally received replaced, other one broke, wifi power port broke. And customer service is a joke. Told them the port was broke on wifi , second meat stick not working. They ended communication with me. Sorry meat stick i use my smoker more then once a year.

Nice app and temp probes. Blue tooth wireless. Range is low, but it tiny device in the oven. But connects good enough. One feature I wish the app had us a time stamp of the last temp reading for each probe.

This product and app make it so easy to know your food is at temp and ready to come off the grill. No more over or under cooking.

Since the last update, the app keep running in the background, cant seem to kill it

The meatstick and extender is cool I really like it, I actually have3. The app, although well thought out could us some love. I found there were times it lost connection unexpectedly, sometimes due to things I was doing and sometimes because it was running in the background. I also had a cook lock my program and the only way to get it to stop was to restart my phone. The battery meter is inconsistent and I wish there was away meter the charge before I start the cook.

Ok the first stick I got did not work properly and was really frustrating and confusing to figure out what I was doing wrong, which ended up being nothing. My replacement stick works as advertised. Convenient for my rotisserie. My advice, test it several times the first week that you get it so plan on lots of roasting. Get on that replacement ASAP if needed, because to do any troubleshooting you need to have time to cook more stuff with it.

I guess the app update is broken, because now my stick won't even show up in the app. I've been through every troubleshoot, it's charged, and I even tried with my other two android phones. No go. This thing worked great the one time I used it before Christmas, now it's a 100$ paperweight. I hope people see these reviews before they see the product on Amazon, because those aren't telling the whole truth. Will be happy to update review if issue gets resolved, but right now it's useless.

I only use this tool and associated app once or twice a year, so every experience with it is as though I just received it and I know NOTHING about it. The app should allow me to know the state of charge if the registered devices at any time. If they cannot be found, the app should suggest charging them. In other ways, the UI is not intuitive. I tend to spend an hour or so finding what I need to connect the components. The (apparently) necessary order is unclear. Fix those issues and I'll ret

So I bought Wifi Bridge Set. It is great concept but the App needs some serious work. My stick keeps disappearing while charging, so I don't know if it's truly charging or not. In my opinion the charger's light needs to be redesigned so it is on all the time while the stick is charging, that way we know it is working properly. Made my first cook yesterday and it turned out great. I enjoyed the diagrams in the app.

The product is junk therefore the app is of no use. Great in theory although once you start a cook, its limited for changes mid-cook. Sometimes you have to end the cook and start a new one half way through with different parameters (losing previous data). Sometimes the probe dies and there are no data updates for 20 minutes and no warning. Id like to see a timer showing when the last packet of data was recieved so you know its working. Every time i open the lid the temp alarm goes off. Needs AI

Updated :looks like the firmware update fixed my issues. I created three accounts trying to get the app to let me log in and they all say the same thing 'account does not exist' in the app. However when I go to the website all 3 of my logins work just fine. Because of this I can't get the wifi to work. At this point it's a $180 Bluetooth connection. Not happy.

Have the original for over a year with xboost and wifi. Easy to use. The sticks work great had them for over a year and got the mini set recently 😀. They work great easy-to-use and easy to sink. i do have 4 chargers so i can always have 4 ready. You do have make sure the sticks do not get to hot to not fry internal chips but if follow instructions and make sure the stick fully inserted and it dont get heat directly, you should be ok.

The Id5gea is great, Software implementation has a lot to be desired. The idea is to make cooking easy and to the right "Doneness". Software is a hindrance to getting it done. Can't connect to my WiFi even at 2 4Ghz. Each time I use the MEATSTICK the app prompts me to connect to WiFi even after I say NO. RETURNED FOR REFUND

Works as advertised. Everything Ive tried (ribeye, London broil, chicken, pork loin) has turned out cooked and juicy! Excellent investment for the kitchen. Can't wait to try on BBq in the summer

Stick works great, software is needlessly intrusive, clunky and filled with endless notifications

First one didn't work. Update: They sent me a replacement after I paid $35 to upgrade to the newer model with battery. Same problem, doesn't connect to phone no matter how many times I follow directions step by step, even deleted app and reloaded then restart phone. They're sending another replacement. This is my last try with this brand.

I use my BGE as a smoker regularly. For years I had used a dual probe thermometer that was wired to a transmitter. Lots of hassle, doubts about whether it was measuring temp correctly. I manually graphed the time, while cooking, in order to manage the "done time." After one MeatStick session, I'm hooked. It's a work saver and a worry saver, and IT does the graphing/schedule management! And only ONE probe to clean....and that took 15 seconds. The MeatStick is a well-designed top-quality tool.
