Notifications need to have a setting so you can turn them off. I don't need something going off and annoying me because someone like the comment or didn't like it. I don't like being disturbed when I want it to go into the app I'll go into the app I don't care to hear what other people have to say with a thumb up or thumb down. Make notifications and option not a mandate.
The app can run very slow. It's not the most intuitive as to posting that will create interaction with other users.
So far easy to navigate. I've always liked reading the website and submissions. Will come back with updated review.
Very willing to provide an update to my original review. This is a great app as it provides users room to vent and seek advice. Multiple issues are covered and I'm sure if your particular situation isn't included it soon will be.
I don't know what wrong with this app called my mighty...once I minize the app I can't go back in there again... I've deleted it and install it more than 10 times.
A brilliant app. I love to see replies to comments and read the articles. At times it can be a little busy interface. However, it is a positive, helpful friendly platform with lots of content and ways to connect with others and that is its main function. Thank you!
Absolutely love what the Mighty does for those of us with mental health issues and love this app. Though it isn't as good as the mobile version it still does the job. I find that when I tried to write a post on the app it didn't actually post it. So make sure to copy it just in case it doesn't post and log in to the mobile version. I spent 20 minutes on that one that day. 😔
This app is a life changer I suffer from serve social anxiety and depression and bipolar 1 so for me to be able to connect with people who went through the same or similar experiences with no judgement it's really comfortable. I love how I can share how I'm feeling and people that I don't even know is encouraging me. I needed this app
There has to be more like this app out there. The epitome of inclusion and unconditional love
I love this app! Pros - post your problems, get support and advice, just feel like you're where you are meant to be. It's nice to know that you are not alone. Cons - the settings for notifications doesn't work. Not only do your notification changes not work, they also don't stay how you choose (only notifications for this or that). I also wish that when we choose which posts to see first (most active or new) that our choice would stay that way everytime we go into the app.
At first the Android app had glitches that forced me to get a sign-in link in my email to log in, but none of them worked. I got frustrated and stopped trying for a few weeks. Once the app updated a couple times, the issues were (for the most part) fixed. My only wish is when I click on an article of interest in my daily email (tailored to the conditions/groups I follow) that the app loads the ARTICLE, not my general feed. Great start, just a few tweaks needed.
I absolutely LOVE this app! I haven't had a single issue, and the range of groups is huge! If you can think of something, is probably already a group. And, if it isn't... Make one! Everyone I have chatted with had been amazingly helpful(even if it wasn't the type of help I was originally looking for, it helps in another way. I have never closed the app feeling anything but positive vibes. Just reading others stories is usually enough to turn my thoughts into positive feelings. Thanks to all!!
Imagine a social media that's actually good for your mental health. This is it. The Mighty offers a supportive community for any kind of chronic illness, mental and physical. The community is really great, and does a good job of keeping things positive but realistic. The app has some minor quirks. Your profile picture sometimes displays as a stock profile image along side comments. The text editor also tends to disable auto correct and spell checking for some reason. Aside from those, it's great
The Mighty is the best, easy and user-friendly app ever! I am thankful to have found an app that's the easiest to navigate. Because of frustration with navigation systems, the Mighty app helps to find things faster without all the frustrations of not being able locate what is needed in a timely fashion.
It's great having the support for those of us who have mental health issues and can reach out and know that it's safe to express ourselves in any way we need to.
I really like this site. However, I need to be convinced that it is different than the old website. I used to write lengthy responses and if I breathed on my entry, I would lose EVERYTHING I was just was working on. I also want to know if photos from Android devices can now be added instead of iPhone only. Once these two issues can be proven as correct and functional, then and only then, will I change my rating.
I love the content, community and articles of the Mighty...when I can read them which is usually email or FB, but generally when I am actually trying to use the app, it won't open and stops at the logo splash screen. I have contacted tech support and enclosed photos and descriptions and yet they asked for more details (how much more detail besides a photo, my phone info. and a this won't open?). I replied trying again and never heard back. I would really love to be able to use this.
Since last night I can't log into my account keeps saying there was a problem logging I'm, try again later. I have tried again and still can not access my account . Is the site down?
This app is great! I can come on here at any time and get support for any of my health conditions. I also can come on here to vent when I am having a really bad day.
i've visited the website many times and have felt solace and comfort in the fact that i'm not alone in this world with my mental illnesses. however, when using the app, when it asks about what my "experiences with health" are, adhd and borderline personality are not available for selection. i find this weird as both topics are covered well enough on the website itself.
Seriously amazing place to connect with others, express yourself, and feel included. This app is perfect for those who are disabled, have invisible illnesses, chronic illnesses, chronic pain, mental illness, neurodivergent folks, and everything in between.
(Edited) Very satisfied!! App now runs smooth and works perfectly. Customer service was fast, clear, and helpful. But most importantly i love The Mighty, their articles and resources are so very helpful and validating. The community is also amazingly supportive and connected, i can share a part of myself thats always misunderstood from outsiders who just can't understand. Highly reccomend for anyone who needs good information and support when you may not have it where you need it.
I love this app :) The Mighty is a fantastic resource for anyone livong with chronic conditions, for example depression, and the app makes the platform more accessible. I would like to only get email notifications when someone interacts with my articles or my comments though, not just everytime someone comments on a post I have as that gets a bit spammy and it is difficult to find responses in that pile. Overall a great app and a great community though :)
These guys have really out done themselves. This app is sleek and snappy. It is kept updated. The app runs very smoothly. The design is modern. It responds to common android interactions. I looooove the magic link sign in. I have complete access to all my themighty content without having to use the website. I even have access to some feature that the website does not have! Great work and thanks soooo much for such an amazing app!
It was an ok app at first, then it started glitching and kicking me off of the app. It's a good app but it needs fixing to stop kicking me out of the app.
I love this app and everything on it. There's never been a place where my health issues & mental struggles felt more understood & normal. I haven't used the social aspect of it as much but I check the app to read articles related to my conditions several times a week. The knowledge & insight gained from hearing other people's stories about the same things I'm dealing with has literally saved my life!!!!
Too many notifications, too many emails - none of which I can turn off. There is an option top turn these off, but they don't work. They stay stuck in the mode where it sends you every notification and email. Causing way too much anxiety for a mental health app.
The Mighty is not a Christian website. It is run by horrible, judgmental, finger pointing non-Christians who should take a good long hard look at themselves and point the finger not outwardly but towards themselves. I'm asking please that all who are a part of the Mighty community take off the app and delete all email sent to you by them. They only want your money nothing else. Nothing but hypocrite. Horrible.
Very insightful and inspiring.
When I click on an email story, or someone needing support and help, the app rarely takes me to the right place, so I can't find what I've clicked on. I've reinstalled several times but still the same issue. I've emailed support twice about this, but despite promising a speedy response, I've heard nothing back. It's a great pity as if it worked ok, it'd be a great app. If I hear back and this issue is resolved, I'll happily upgrade my review.
