The updated app has had nothing but problems. They need to put a new group, person, etc on doing a proper update. The UI is a mess....no dark mode, the articles take 3 to 5 minutes to load then only have the article loads. What a mess they made of an app that had no issues.
I installed this lap so I could access my online subscription to the newspaper. It does not allow me to download the subscription as I previously did for the last two years. It only allows me to look at the paper look real with ads and only pieces so that I cannot reasonably read it.
My account sign in is through my Facebook account. But the Facebook app and the Modbee app don't get along. I can still read articles, but I can't use this app to read them. So, yeah.
Excellent app to keep updated on our communitys latest news and also of the world news never be left in the dark of the unknowning always be on top of everything around you with this Modesto bee app
It's difficult to read other categories in the paper, it's as if I'm reading the main part but not all the paper.

Mod bee can bite me
The new updated format is problematic. Articles frequently don't open, and a disturbing ad just asked me if I wanted a date. Beyond gross when I want journalism.
I was born in Modesto, but moved to Missouri in 1979. I enjoy keeping in touch with what's happening in the place that I love. The Modesto Bee is excellent, thank you.
Keeps the news current
Having family in the area love to read whats going on. Plus you print articles very well written from other towns that are excellent

Notifications only take you to the app not the article in the notification. Cuts you off after 40 articles. Share like does not work half the time. Only up side is articles are current not old news like the paper by the time it gets to you.
Wants to charge you after 40 articles on top of all the ads.
This app is great!
What a horrible app. Screen freezes that require a restart. Pages that take too much time to upload, etc. The "old" app was better. Bring it back or fix this one!!
