Despite having the BREAKING NEWS alert option turned off, app still keeps sending thru various breaking news alerts. Don't understand how an app just ignores users wishes Oh, and when you try to contact the developer at mobilesupport@postmedia, it comes back as undeliverable. Nothing like useless app support on top of a bad app design

This app is very frustrating, sends you notifications about articles then when you click on it brings you to a different article. I would recomend The Globe, don't have these issues.

Radical platform for biased zionist propaganda. The app does not work properly, and when it does, it notifies you - regardless if you want it or not - with generic mainstream nonsense. Definitely no journalism in there. 0/10

Images and video thumbnails aren't displaying, every article shows a Gazette logo. And I echo what another person said, too many videos, I'm here to read not watch the news!

The app works fine. The only problem with it that I am having is the content. Why are 3/4 articles on a mobile news app in video format? Chances are if im on the mobile app its because I am on the go and don't have time to watch a video with audio. Ill save that for tv/pc browsing. On the metro or on the bus Its almost impossible to watch. I want to read an article this why im on mobile.

For a centuries old newspaper that should be in touch with everything in the city, it's more an overly Anglo, west island news source. This coming from a montreal Anglo raised in Hudson that now lives downtown. It gets the big news... I guess, but don't expect much more if you care about what's happening in the rest of the city. As for its national and international news... There are better apps.

IT DOES NOT UPDATE ITS NEWS STORIES. IVE HAD THE EXACT SAME ARTICLES SINCE THE 31ST OF LAST MONTH. THIS JUST KEEPS HAPPENING. IM DELETING THIS APP AGAIN AND NOT REDOWNLOADING IT AGAIN THIS TIME. I USED TO LOVE THIS APP. NOW YOU JUST DONT WANT TO SEE IT

I want to read the world news and national news but it's not showing the full article. Isn't that the point of a newspaper? To read the details? You only read the first paragraph. I downloaded "La Presse". Even if it's in French, I get to read more things than what The Gazette presents. The other problem now, it shows no server. Data error. Connection problem. Would have thought it would be fixed fast. Don't get your hopes up.

All sections don't work anymore except mg now fix your app been afew weeks someone is asleep at the wheel should be fired

The app is not android friendly. Very difficulty to read and the publishing date is not on the summary view

News stories don't update. Showing the same stories for the past week.

The Gazette's requirement that readers use Facebook commenting is absolutely wrong. Contrary to what you may think, not everyone is on Facebook, nor does everyone WANT to be. Facebook's ever-changing privacy policy is lacking, which is primarily why I cancelled my FB account - I don't trust them. There are many options for user commenting on the web; Facebook is one of the worst. Please reconsider this mistaken choice.

Too many permissions required by app, that make it into more of a snoop than a news app. It's an invasion of privacy, and I couldn't even turn off the notifications. I uninstalled it.

Quick an easy access to all the news

I started using this app on my Galaxy Nexus a few years ago. The app was Ok and did it's job according to the standards back then. As I installed updates, the app got worse and worse. Now it looks like an iPhone app patched up to be used on Android. Picture captions appear within the article, there are odd looking broken links and now pictures don't even appear on the S6 edge. I find that there's lack of investment for us android users. Fix your app or lose out to your many competitors. So disappointing!

This news app. Does what it says and is very user friendly. Lots of Canadians hockey news as well. I would like to see a paid version with no adds. I would give 5 stars for no adds.

For some reason the Gazette has made a conscious decision to omit Montreal Canadiens stories. I am making a conscious decision to uninstall.

Prior to the Gazette "new" slower app. This was my main news app. New the latest updates gone. And all the stories only show first few lines. Way to go The Gazette, you took a good app and made it worse

Dear Gazette, It is with sadness that I must point out to you that your app has stopped working properly since you came out with a new and "improved" version. I liked this one fine. It did what it was supposed to do until recently. Now I only get a paragraph of each news story. I tried to download the "new" app but can not tell which one it is (there are 2 besides this one) and each has very poor reviews from actual users. Now I am no techie, but I would gladly assume the decision-making from those of you who are deficient in such areas. I can only guess that the salary is reasonable, but the most important thing is that I CAN DO A BETTER JOB THAN WHO EVER YOU HAVE NOW!

App is not great, it has not updated news stories in 3 days on my phone Not practical. Rating of 2 was given until this is fixed. As it stands the app is useless and is being deleted until this has been resolved, if it is resolved

Unless you like skimming through the first few lines of an article to get your information, this new app is useless. Very unhappy and will be looking for a new app to get my information. I am surprised it still has not been fixed.

Since the update of the app I can only read the first 5 lines of an article on my tablet. Interestingly enough on the smart phone the app works fine.
