The Nation Magazine

I love The Nation and the fact that I can review old subscriptions. I hate that there isn't a way to quickly pull up an old subscription in the search box (at least it has not worked for me). Also, when I scroll up or down, ( because I read on my phone)the font gets blurry. Despite those minor flaws I love this app. It is easy to see and looks just like the magazine.

The Nation is a great magazine, but this app is an absolute disaster. The UI is clunky, it won't recognize account credentials, and even if you finally get logged in, it continues to show the "time remaining-subscribe now" window as if it never happened. Then, the next time you open it, you have to do the same dance all over again. It's so bad they ought to just scrap it. Seriously--it does more harm to their brand than anything.

Excellent writing and timely choice of issues, done in unbiased missives. Big problem: log-on proceedure leads to subscription. I have a subscription. The other options lead to log- in with Facebook, etc. I have a valid password but can't find a field in which to enter it. Very confusing and a huge detraction from the magazine! This took my review of The Nation from 5 Stars to 3.

Truly relevant stories for now and the future. Read about individuals who have wildly differing points of view agree that it's the "person/nature" who matters, not what they might represent. I've learned more in an hour of reading than I learned in years of schooling. This is really good journalism.

Stupid, grade-school level app. I have SAVED my login details so I know what they are. Why can't I log in then?! Tried to send feedback/gelp request from the app: the "send email" button doesn't work, even though all the fields are complete. Great content, impossible app.

After subscribing to the The Nation and logging in to the app with the same credentials used to successfully log in to the website, all the app does is offer to sell me content. It doesn't acknowledge that I have a valid subscription. If ithat doesn't change I'm going to cancel the subscription.

For longer than any other weekly publication, The Nation has provided high quality information and analysis on American affairs. I have been a long time subsciber but only recently started using the app again after several years without. It seems like it has improved immensely in that time!

Android 11: App doesn't accept credentials for account created in-browser for pre-existing subscription. Can't login to app using email/zip code or email/password combo or through Settings menu. Subscription and App Help forms don't submit and neither have any field to give contact info to ensure a response. Most of the 5-star reviews seems to be reviewing the magazine and what it stands for, not the app itself. Has anyone made successful use of this thing?

Excellent magazine. App is easy to navigate. You can swipe back and forth between articles without going back to the contents.

John Nichols is a great writer. I always look forward to his insights. Overall, The Nation is an exceptional magazine.

It constantly stops downloading the issues. And even after logging out and logging back in, it gives wrong information about the subscription.

Can't seem to find my account information and it is it available for me to use on the website. This and the New Republic are both made by same software firms and both are junk. I like the reporting but gosh they made the worst app ever

I go to The Nation for intelligent, insightful, progressive analysis of the issues that matter to me. The app is basic and works well.

One of the worst mobile apps I have used. Broken links, overloaded with ads even for paid subscribers. The Nation Magazine's journalism is excellent, this app is garbage.

Doesn't recognize login information for subscribers. No response to my request for assistance. Will probably cancel my subscription.

The Nation has a long history of fighting the Good Fight. Top notch journalists and provocative ideas, all here all the time.

What Kevin Gannon said in his review on February 27. Just had the exact same frustrating app experience as a new subscriber returning to The Nation for the first time in 20+ years. Please make the app at least half as good as the publication.
