I am noticing that some reviews are related to the NET translation and some for the app. I am rating the app, not the translation. Four stars because it is very easy to use and makes it easy to check the translation notes, which is the distinctive feature of the NET translation. I took a star off because although the search feature is very fast, it lacks granularity. For a text the size of the Bible search is not very helpful unless there is a way to filter/sort the query.
Easy to use app, an A. Talked with the developers and translators at Society of Biblical Literature convention for years while this was in the works. Theologically I found them a bit to my right, but they were dedicated to using the best texts available (some conservatives insist the text behind the KJV – which is filled with later additions – must be God's word. Nope, this is based on best texts available. If it doesn't have a verse the KJV has, the KJV, based on the Greek text of Erasmus is the problem, not the 'real' version. A+ for that. Human language is not literal, it is filled with figures of speech. I think the NET leans a bit too much for translating idioms literally instead of looking for the modern English idiom, B+ there. There is no perfect Bible translation, but this is darn good.
the latest release did not work well with my android phone. Caused memory problems and I could not actually get it to work. Before that release, it was excellent.
My favorite Bible app yet. Would just like to know how to move your bookmarks/notes once you buy a new phone. Would also like to be able to change the font. Not a fan of times new Roman.
The best complete offline view, best interpretation, small size with Many features ie. Highlights, notes, choose custom colour, resize etc
The app is great, The new testiment is a great translation, but I'm afraid the old testiment is a disaster, that's not the apps fault though.
downloaded the most recent update, now it crashes every time i try to open it. Praying that a speedy fix comes soon!
I like Whycliffe Bible translators and this version is easy to understand, however my question to the developers is why I'm not seeing Matthew 17:21 on my version. I've decided to uninstall it. Matthew 6: 13 leaves out for 'thine is the kingdom the power and the glory for ever amen.'
Like the Reading it's easy to understand thank you , but my Bible doesn't Share like my friends does ..Is there something wrong with it..
Doesn't include translator's notes. Easy to use, though.
Its a very nice app and it's translation makes it easier for Bible study
After update yesterday the app wont open
downloaded latest update. Now won't load.
Good read compare it to acts 12:4 kjv says Easter this says passover. Net is correct
I noticed that a verse (Acts 8:37) was removed when someone pointed it out for me. I'm not too knowledgable of the fact and reason, and it would probably would go over my head, but it has me concerned. It's a matter too risky to stay silent on, I hope others realize this and work accordingly
Was wonderful now crashes every time.
This app is good but it does not have notes I was looking for...
This is version 1. When are you implementing version 2?
PLEASE LET NET BIBLE TELL THE CHRISTIAN WORLD WHY ACTS 8V37 IS MISSING FROM THEIR TRANSLATION? ?????
The best bible app i have ever seen May God almighty prosper you developers
No longer opens after 5th august update. Crushes
Outstanding bible. Many thanks.
This app is great
Good and clear 👍
Really nice
I just want to appreciate the good effort you made to see that the Holy word of God is made easy and available to all.. May the Lord Jesus Christ bless you abundantly Amen
It gives a correct an accurate meaning to the scriptures. Well broken down into simiple English
Good design and fast load speed. However, the lack of notes is disappointing, since that's one of the major positive aspects of this translation. I'd pay for the ability to have the notes included.
There are some typographical error in Ruth 4:20-21 please check. Thankyou
It's okay. Simple app that works well, but lacks a few key features, such as continuous scrolling between chapters (they are only artificial divisions anyway), the inability to select or highlight partial verses, and a complete lack of the extensive translator notes the NET translation is known for.
