The Particle Adventure
Science is shown in action through topics such as "How Do We Know Any of This?" and "Unsolved Mysteries". One can skim through or take the time to dig into topics of special interest. The journey is filled with cartoons, animation, news of recent physics discoveries, quizzes, pop-up windows, and quotes.
While the content is guided by renowned physicists, the Particle Adventure has a look that reflects its student designers. There is student artwork and student humor. Indeed, a big part of the site's appeal is its reliance on humor, thanks to the talents of students.
This app was produced by the Particle Data Group at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. The PDG produces the Review of Particle Physics.
The Particle Adventure website (at http://ParticleAdventure.org) receives about 5 million hits a year. It has received awards/recognition from Scientific American, the American Association for the Advancement Science, the American Physical Society, the US Dept. of Energy, the Discovery Channel, Science Magazine, Education World, USA Today, New Scientist, the Exploratorium, National Academy Press, etc.

Best app for understanding the particle physics
this is what you all want
This most excellent app makes difficult subjects understandable to the average person. You don't have to be Sheldon Cooper to understand it.

Awesome Physics App !!!!!!! Got everything I need. Quantum Mechanics, Info on Atomic Particles, Four Fundamental Forces, Higgs Boson etc. It's also offline. The best app for studying particle physics. My ambition is to become an Astrophysicist and this app has helped me a lot. Thanks to all the creators of this magnificent application.

Really nice app, gets the fundamentals of particle physics :) Although why does it have ©2014? Shouldn't you guys update it to 2015 and so on?

Very useful app for anyone. A great brush-up for particle physicists but also simple enough for the curious minded. Just a few recommendations. It would be nice to include the swipe to change page and also to include the ability to remember where the viewer was before leaving app. Maybe a more extensive contents page would help. Apart from these recommendations the app is just superb.
This app is amazing! Every single topic they touched upon was synthesized for the user to understand and the experience was so interconnected even though it had different segments the info they gave you was used constantly
