Visit www.theprivatebank.com to add Private NetBanking Services to your Account at The PrivateBank or enter your existing Private NetBanking User ID and password once you have downloaded the app to access mobile banking.

Almost a total waste of storage space. I can check my balance! Woo hoo! The screenshots and the Play Store description say I can transfer funds, make a check deposit, pay people using a service like Zelle, etc. but none of those functions are available on the version I have. (Yes I checked and it says I have the latest version)
This app is seriously lacking compared to other banking apps and even their own Canadian version. Simple things that I expect to be able to do I can't, like lock my card. It's not even pleasing to the eye and again if you look at the Canadian version you'll see an eye popping difference, very disappointing.
It just stopped working a week ago. Spoke with CIBC vustomer service who spoke to another dept (play broken telephone much as a kid?) The app won't do very much and feels like it's scared to do anything besides show your balance or let you deposit a cheque...maybe. Now it won't even do that. Just save yourself the trouble and create a link to the desktop website. Then you only have to deal with getting a text message to log in EVERY time you go back to the page.
No fingerprint signin, no transfers to savings (you have almost the top rate right now I'd like to transfer in funds), you don't show the current savings interest rate in the app. The 4 digit pin isn't bad.
Worthless. Shows my savings account with appropriate last four digits of account number but shows no data (zero balance!) and no functionable options like transfers etc... This app reflects very poorly on CIBC as an institution. They should fix or remove from store.
Pretty poor. No fingerpint, and only passcode that doesn't work. After you disconnect or auto-log out of the CIBC app after inactivity, and you need to log back in with the passcode, it'll give you an error that you got the wrong username/password...so the only way after that is enter username/password which is random generated for me so it's not possible to remember. Basically unusable for me after the first login. The first part is that CIBC & CIT bank uses the same app or same framework but CIT bank works fine...
Useless. Unable to do anything but see one's balance. Can't make recurring transfers, stop or make changes to transfers, or other functions.
Terrible performance. Can never log in.
This app is not user friendly, it needs to get with the times. Beyound that, it stopped working on my S8 and the app support instructions are less than useless.
Too much wrong to write about. What I write will not change it. Because of ALL the issues I have with this app, I'm changing my BANK!!!
Never a peaceful thought when your bank app is constantly crashing and your phone labels it unstable. Tried uninstalling and re-install still problematic and not easy to transfer $
It stinks !! Fix it. I ve been trying to deposit a check and it will not complete the process !! We dont live near a branch ! Please fix your app !!!
Constantly says that it needs updating but there's never a way to update. One of the crappiest apps I've ever used.
I don't like app. I can't sign in with finger. Always wants authentication.
Needs to be updated to get with the times. No updates in over a year is crazy slow.
The app is very limited compared to the net banking website. Needs a huge overhaul!

Unbelievable it's crashed 10 times in a day in the background I have to uninstall this until you guys can fix this thing

CIBC didn't invest much in developing this US banking app. Very limited options and features compared to CIBC Canada banking app.
CIBC USA is excellent. Transfers are great. Real time!

Never worked and even when customer support got involved it still never worked absolutely horrible app
This app needs a serious update! When I try to use it the app lags in the loading phase which times it out then only after one time I get locked out of the account and have to call customer service. It's infuriating. I have to go through all the security questions just to access my own account because CIBC bank won't fix their app. Considering leaving the bank just because of the inconvenience it's caused.
