ProJo used to have an app specifically for tablets. It worked well, but now it's disappeared. This version is difficult to navigate, jerky, and slow to resond, and does not display well on my Samsung tablet. I'm seriously thinking of canceling my subscription because it's so frustrating to use.
Does not comply with Google's secure browser policy. Can't login to my paid account
Why if I am paying for a subscription do I need to put up with constant interuptions with advertising? Also in my chromebook I cannot reach the sign in page so I have to read it on my phone. Why can't we get a print view of the paper so we can see what the main headlines are? When this app was originally developed you could. I dropped my print and eSubscription when I was no longer in the area. Wake up developers, I am contemplating not continuing my subscription after the test month.
I want to see news. Not sports. Not obituaries. News. They have what they "top stories". Which is a mix of everything, but no pure news category. The app is stupid. I am forced to read it in a browser, which is hard on the phone. I wish there were another paper to read.
It's OK except that I had to turn off notifications because they caused PocketCasts to stop. Also, if I am playing a podcast on PocketCasts and I open this app, the podcast stops. Neither of these things happen with the New York Times app.
Ads popup in stories constantly, and its super distracting; also ads sneakily mixed into the list of articles. All in all the form and function of this app leaves much to be desired, although the same can be said of their full website as well
Long time 30+ years. Can't load E-edition editions for the last 8 days. Prior editions load fine. Alert says no database available. Occurred since approx 2/1/20 with "New software" update that now doesn't work on my android tablet. How about passing on prior edition databases being dowloaded and letting me read today's paper.
Haven't been able to access the e edition for weeks. Just notified that I have just paid for the next 3 months again. Need to get out of this. Multi year subscriber.
As a paid subscriber for over 20 years, I cannot get the e edition on my s7edge smartphone...cannot find anyone at the journal to speak with. Had it a few years ago, but it disappeared and have tried to no avail to get it back.
New design all ads, hard to separate actual content from the junk. Makes a formerly proud newspaper look like a shill for income. Opens stories in browser, requiring another log in. Really?
Terrible online communication. I pay $16 a month for an unreliable app on my Android phone. Have no problem using Memory on my Chromebook. New York Times app works fine. Gannett better get its act together.
I detest having to sign in each time I use this news service. We have a full paid print subscription which should allow automatic daily dowlads...but no!
Website indicates my subscription is paid through the end of the month, "can't log 😫 in", same problem as last week. No stars for you!!!!!!
Terrible! Have to uninstall and install every day to get the news even though I am a subscriber. Very annoying!
Good coverage, but cannot read thoroughly due to block of some type which does not appear in other news apps
Sign in with Google no longer works, so I'm locked out of the subscription I paid for.

Why do you think I should subscribe to your newspaper when you don't offer anything I can't get off the internet I used to love reading the morning paper with a cup of coffee. You don't have an editorial staff, do you have any RI reporters? You are digging your own grave.
