Update... App will no longer open, so I see little reason to continue my 41-year subscription to this newspaper. / / / Can't login. After entering ID and PW it just stays on login page. Because of not being logged in, app displays annoyingly loud and irrelevant videos before an article can be read. There is really no benefit from subscribing to the newspaper any longer.
The latest upgrade, sticks Google play in your way. I pay for a subscription I don't want the irritation. Since the 1/10/22 revision, the app will no longer open
App won't load even after reinstalling twice. Gets stuck on splash screen.
The app sometimes doesn't allow me to read promoted stories. It frequently closes. I find it easier to go to the web page to read the news.

This app no longer opens, even after uninstalling and reinstalling.
I am a paid subscriber and this app simply doesn't have the main thing I look for, which is an ability to find stories from particular towns on particular days.
App wants you to log in after reading a few articles.. I'll us wdbj7 and wsls 10 for my local news
I don't have a paid subscription due to I have heard that they're some flaws. I read what I can and if they cut me off, well let them cut it off, I will just go somewhere else to read the news.
I am a digital subscriber to the Roanoke Times web site, but I cannot sign into this app. This seems like a major oversight.

It refuses to let me read stories, it says I have read too many and i have to sign in. I have no account to sign in with, and the app offers no link to create an account.
This app has all the latest news.
I can stay up on what going on in the valley.

Too many flashing ads that get in the way. I also don't care for how the the app is formatted. Not criticizing the news content, but check out the NY Times site. They have ads, but they don't seem intrusive. Easy to find the stories you want to read as well. I am also still a subscriber to the print edition. Yes, I'm older. I know you need to keep the ads, but I need to easily find the stories that, are now, buried.
