What an amazing game!! I played all of The Rooms twice and I get wait to play the next one, the story is getting more and more interesting! This one is more intricate, captivating and beautiful. My only critic would be that the puzzles lack "multiple choice", it is often getting an object and figuring out where it goes. However, writing this, I really enjoyed playing. :)

Not only is it the best The Room game by far, it reaches the heights of the most acclaimed classic adventure series (Myst) in such a short, engaging and absolutely fun ride that challenges you while not being as obstuse as previous entries. Bravo, I can't recommend it enough. Old Sins fixes the backtracking issues The Room 3 had towards the end, slowing it's pace. Simple like the first, as complex as the sequels, and a standalone story that doesn't get in the way. Perfection. More please.

Edit : uninstalling and reinstalling the application fixed the issue. The latest update has made the whole game unplayable for me on a Samsung Galaxy Note 9. The opening screen immediately starts blinking or rather resetting every 2 seconds, with no buttons appearing and the only working thing being rotating the point of view… Clearing all the data off the application did nothing. I hope you will release a hotfix. Thank you.

Very good game though sometimes frustrating to not know where to go, where the next step is, without the hints. I still managed to finish the game without any hint. The graphics are very well made, the story is very intriguing, the riddles are original, interesting and a little bit too much challenging. Overall, the most difficult part was to know where to go, where to use what. Very good game, recommend to purchase, it took me 5:26 to finish the game.

I'm not a gamer or very good at concentrating on finishing games but I've loved this whole series. Without the clues I'd have given up but the clues, the quality of the visuals and enough challenge to get my brain engaged made this really good fun. Some of the visuals are not appropriate for younger children and it feels the makers are after a more grown up audience. Really enjoyed, recommend even for old luddites like me.

Ok, done the entire series in a week and I'm mentally exhausted! I really loved the game. Fantastic graphics, visuals, puzzles and music as we have come to expect. I personally didn't find this as difficult as the third and it seemed shorter, however, it was still a challenge for my poor brain. Now there's two storylines I'm salivating over and you've given yourself quite the task as I expect both to continue haha! Good work guys! Love this series! Worth every penny!

This game is great and serves a wonderful addition to the series. However, I can't help but feel that they took a step back between last game and this one. The Room: Three felt like so much of a wider world than this one, which felt comparatively narrow in scope. I don't think it's entirely because of the literal size of the navigable space. The third installment had branching paths and hint-less exploration that this one lacked. Overall a great installment, but a slight decline from The Room 3.

The Room is one of the best series of mobile games available and Old Sins is the best of the best!!! Worth every single penny to buy it. The only problem is that having completed all 4 of The Room games I'm at a loss. I want something equally as good in story, graphics, gameplay, puzzles and atmosphere - but I'm not sure where to look!!

It was good. Pretty much what you would expect from The Room series. Lock boxes and finding the way(s) to pick them which leads to another piece/ clue which unravels the mystery etc. I feel like this was similar to but not as good as The Room 3. The storyline was decent but like the rooms in this offering the story was a bit anticlimactic when finished. I feel like the dev's need to create a Room story where you can do more than be stuck in one place, maybe travel to the future.

Unmatched by any other game or puzzle created. The graphics are superb! The creativity of the puzzles is mind-blowing, and yet, it ends up making sense. Never any ads or anything to buy. Sound effects always match the image. I love all The Room puzzles. I wake up and get coffee and go to The Room everyday. I don't know what I'll play now because I've done all 4 in the series. Please make more. Thank you to all who imagined and made thinking fun again.

Very enjoyable and an (in my opinion) had a very interesting plot. I won't spoil it for those who have yet to play it , but this is one of the best puzzle games I gave played in a while. I did use the hints a few times, however they were very small hints that lead to big things or helped me understand what I was missing, that I honestly thought was a genius mechanic to have in the game. Most puzzle games I have played don't have that and can be frustrating at times.

One of the best puzzle/story games I've played. The graphics are stunning! The amount of detail in reach room is mind boggling. The puzzles are very creative, challenging and fun. This is one of those games that's hard to put down because it is so immersive. Another top notch game from Fireproof! Can't wait for the next one!

The first three games were all masterpieces. The first had excellent storytelling and a great centerpiece to unravel. The second introduced larger spaces to explore. The third turned these spaces into a cohesive area and showed the threat of the null. The Room: Old Sins takes everything from the previous games, meshes it beautifully, and cranks it up to 11. I can say that this is the best puzzle game on the app store, if not the single best game on the app store. An absolute must play.

4 hours of playtime is by far worth writing a review for. Wow. I'm quite pleased. Most escape games barely come close to that. It's not long because it's super hard either, it just has that much content. Graphics are stellar, and the puzzles are ingenious and like i said, solvable by normal people and not math wizards. Very enjoyable game. The puzzles and mechanisms to solve them are always visual, and so are the hints (except the hints you ask for, those are verbal.) Bravo! Thank you for this!

How can a game this good be this inexpensive? The level of detail in this game matches what you expect from other Room games. Exquisite, fine details throughout. Mechanics are sensible and mostly intuitive. There were a few places where a lever or slide seemed excessively obscure but a level one hint usually helped. The story is good and builds into a larger developing narrative. Great work Fireproof Games!

The atmosphere is incredible and really immersive. The puzzles are top notch and the mechanisms that make up the puzzles make sense. If I could change anything it would be to add a jump scare in one or two places within the game. That would be awesome because how the game draws you in.

Not even close to Three. The rooms stayed open all thru that version. This one destroys the room when finished and doesn't give the player the challenge of keeping up with where the main room is and how to get there. Not the same fun and challenging vibe as Three, either. This one is more discombobulated and lacks the visual.

Magnificent. The pinnacle of the series; what started as a small "open a box" tactile game has morphed into an atmospheric and unparalleled experience. The story has deepened and the mechanics to get us there have been honed to laser precision. The use of the dollhouse to bring back that first Room experience is genius and managed to fix the third game's only major flaw (the requirement of backtracking to progress). Unfortunately the series is done for me as they've shifted to VR :(

More intense than the first 3, especially at the end. I do wish there was an observatory as in the Room Three because it was just stunning. Similarly to the previous games of the series, you can ignore all of the written documents (books, letters) unless you're invested in the story, as they give no clues to solving any of the puzzles.

As always, The Room proves itself to be a wonderful series. The only constructive criticism I would give is that, as the symbols were burnt away one by one on the wall, the last two disappeared simultaneously. It felt like there either should've been one fewer symbol or one more room to clear. It was a bit odd to have one at a time go away until right at the end. But side from that quibble, and even with it taken into consideration, the game is still a 5-star game in my eyes. Well done!

Simply an outstanding achievement. A true masterpiece of software engineering and storytelling. Easily the most impressive series I've ever seen or played, each one somehow even better than the last, and Old Sins is the crown jewel. Well worth it at even triple the cost. The best compliment I can offer is that after completion, I wanted to experience it all over again and so I played them all twice. Support these guys. Buy this game. We need them to make more as great as this.

Fantastic game! Every title in this series gets better and better, just such a thoroughly good experience. Puzzles are engaging and intuitive, though not without a challenge. And the hint system is extremely helpful without just giving away the answers. I'm looking forward to the next part of the story!

One of the best games/gaming experiences, and not just on smartphone platforms. Thank you to everyone at Fireproof Games. Kind request to not abandon the series. I understand that you are working on exciting projects but I have no doubt that you can appreciate the challenge of channeling innovation (tech & other) to create an amazing next episode in the series. Cheers

The Room game series is phenomenal! I will gladly purchase the next game (assuming there's another in development). The game controls are not glitchy, that doesn't mean that the game is not challenging. Graphics are fabulous. Storyline is eerie but not gory. Excellent game development. Thank you to the developers for bringing this gaming opportunity to life.

Hep. C. May 25, 2022

Five minutes at a time is about all I can stand. The controls are worse than ever. Multiple double taps with no response is the norm. Hints are infinitesimal and usually camouflage into the background. It doesn't matter how good the artwork is or creative the puzzles are if the gameplay is unplayable.

I enjoyed it, I'm glad that I can have some form of closure after playing the first three games. I can also say that the puzzles were not too difficult, but do require bouncing around from foom to room to solve the puzzles, I was not great at remembering whar room the piece was trying to guide me to. But nonetheless I enjoyed my time with it.
