I gave this a four star rating instead of five because I found this game to be a bit more confusing than the previous games. Also, there was an error at the stone structure, the pillars would not show the characters when I pressed the two buttons. Thank goodness I was able to watch a video that showed me what to trace. All in all, I love playing your intricate games!
Way too dark on screen. I'm all for the moody ambience of The Room 1 & 2, but in this game I can barely see a thing on screen. I have the screen brightness of my phone, LG G6, turned up to maximum and I can barely discern background from the actual gameplay. It's really putting me off continuing what has otherwise been an excellent series of games. Perhaps it's an issue with my hardware, but there's no setting I can find to cure this.
This is one of the most impressively designed game mechanism I have ever played. The way the gears and stuff moves is next level. The graphics is more than impressive, it is very detailed. Except for the slight croppy frames at each objects because of anti aliasing not being up to standard. The rest is marvelous up to a brilliant standard a mind of someone so brilliant designed this game in which I am entwitched to play and an hr in one go. A very addictive puzzle game which can entertain me.
It reminds me of the age old MYST game, where nothing seems to make sense until it does, and then it becomes part of the bigger puzzle. The hints are good, though you will move past them with no need to take notice. The graphics and music are perfect. It certainly draws you in and away from whatever you were doing. Great game.
An excellent old-school adventure! This feels like a huge step forward from the previous two games - certainly in scale. The puzzles are the right level of solvable, although there are inevitable problems with playing a game of the kind on a phone. Specifically, about half the time I needed a hint it was to tl me to undo a tiny clip that I couldn't seeor somesuch. The opportunity to highlight everything that can be interacted with would be a great boon.
Excellent graphics. Beautifully constructed with atmospheric and involving game play. Some of the puzzles are frustrating on a phone, due to screen size, but the hints are brilliant - progressively giving clues without giving up the solution, and of course, it's your choice if you want to use them. Thoroughly enjoyed playing this game and looking forward to the next one.
5 stars is not enough for this puzzle game!!!!! Excellent graphics, sound effects. Amazing game. I find it stunning visually. No glitches, no stalling. No ads, not one. Nothing to buy, ever. Helpful clues if wanted. It's very challenging and rewarding. People who say to me, "you think too much", I say, "to hell with you." If you don't like to think and test your ideas, then go play solitaire. I have played The Room, The Room Two and The Room Three.
All of the rooms I, II and III were equally interesting, challenging and time well spent. I'm so grateful for the "?" hints. They were great brain exercises and "works of art". The mechanics... the movements of pieces... the interlocking puzzles... it's just too amazing to describe. Anyone reading this should INSTALL immediately. I generally do not 'buy' games, but I made an exception after completeing "The Room One" and I'm not sorry I did. Well done Devs.
Absolutely the best one of the series. Immersive in the most exquisite way possible. Absolutely worth downloading - the exploration is an incredible experience, from the puzzles to the story to the graphics to the soundtrack. Thank you to the developers for an exceptional game.
I've recently discovered these games and I've loved the entire series. They keep getting better and better and this one was my favourite by far and really challenged me. I just completed all the endings and it was really satisfying. The graphics, design and music were amazing as always, but I also really love and am intrigued by the story. These games were worth every penny and I would give anything for a sequel to this, please! (I know #4 follows a different, albeit related storyline)
I expected "more of the same" from the room 3, but it is so much more. It is bigger, easier to lose your way in, and as you play you notice that not all of the tools or clues are actually used. Having finished the game, it now offers the choice to change the outcome by continuing to solve some of the unused puzzles. Great value as well as being the most immersive of the series.
So, seems like I'm addicted to this series. I'm not much of a gamer, but this is EXACTLY what I was looking for, the perfect meld of puzzles and compelling story. The first two games in the series were excellent. They were just training for this one. Love the graphics. Love the puzzles. Love the environment & the story. Sidenote: As a trained Navy Diver I particularly appreciate the accuracy and detail of the diving helmet in the upper level of the map room. HOOYAY Fireproof! Nicely done.
I have to give it a 4 star rating. Although the graphics were a 5+, the puzzles were superb as whenever you get stuck, the clues changed from vague to a face plant of....oh yeah, that's it! Now here's the only issue. The storyline. It literally went from mechanical puzzle to mechanical puzzle. Granted they were amazing. I felt like better character interaction was needed to keep my attention and interest. If I hadn't paid for this, I may have deleted it, who knows. Keep up the good work. Thanks
Top notch escape room game! Personally, I didn't find it as satisfying as 1 and 2, because several finished areas felt incomplete, BUT if you pay through the multiple endings, the leftover bits come together. The magic of the first two games was in part with how the hint system let's you keep moving (nicely balanced!). Playing this one I felt a bit lost more often, needing more hints. But it's a worthy continuation of the series and definitely worth the 5 stars!
Best game played in a while. Just the right difficulty level to avoid frustration. It probably helped being mechanically inclined but that's not a necessity. The graphics were stunning. Expect the unexpected. Be patient as this is not a race to the finish. The Room was great but Two; not just more of the same...better. Three? How could I not buy it? Was even better than the 1st 2. Thanks Fireproof! Looking forward to more in the future
Overall a captivating experience, it's fun to discover all the little mechanisms and solve the riddles. I would definitely recommend it as a way to kill some time and tease your brain a bit. It has a great atmosphere and very nice artistic style. My only complaint is that at times I got stuck only to discover that my instincts were good but the controls were a bit wonky so I assumed I was on the wrong path. 95% of the time it's fine but the other 5% the interface was just obtuse.
This game is amazing. I started with the first 2 in the series & 3 is by far my favorite so far. It's longer than the first 2 & honestly I wish the games would never end. Great graphics & sound. The puzzles are so unique and brilliantly designed. The controls on my android phone worked perfectly, no issues or glitches. I really hope they make more! It's well worth the money and in fact I would even pay more. It was actually more fun than most games I've paid close to $100 to play on my console.
Another amazing experience, the cinematics and mechanics are pretty much unimpeachable, and it was quite a ride! This one is much more involved, with several rooms and an overall story line that takes longer to develop. Well worth the price, and I look forward very much to the next installment. My only gripes would be that the rooms are quite dark, and it's difficult to tell what size inventory items are, and sometimes that matters! Minor nit-picky stuff though. Bravo yet again!
I loved Room 4 Old Sins, so I tried Room 3. The base game is great, again. A bit less polished than 4, a bit less atmospheric, but still great. After 5 (very entertaining) hours the game is "beaten", but not really. You can now "change fate" by replaying the game with new puzzles. The problem? Those replays (that feel like they're necessary to really beat the game) are mostly frustrating. Puzzles were difficult but clever before, now they mostly amount to "pixel scanning". Mixed bag, I'd say.
I hope there are more to come!! These games are absolutely amazing! Beautiful graphics and scenery. Very realistic, the pov makes you feel like you're right there. This game would be absolutely perfect in VR!! Im about to purchase Old Sins and then I'll have the whole series! I'm hooked for sure! To make it even better, I had an issue and someone actually emailed me back! I couldn't believe it! Keep up the great work!
This is definitely an experience! Keeps you interested and excited for the next challenge! I am not one to pay for "games" or content however, I have no problem paying for this series! Great content and graphics! If you have not yet experienced The Room do yourself a favor and dive into the experience! If you're up for a challenge, you won't regret it, you'll be looking forward to the next level!!!! Highly recommended! !!!
This series just kept getting better. Incredibly fun, well-designed puzzles. Had a weird interaction with my Galaxy S22 Ultra where it wouldn't run at a high frame rate unless I went to my home screen and swapped back to the game. Odd, but it runs so smoothly, I always made sure to do it.
This game is in a similar vein as the Myst series or House of DaVinci, with more eldritch, Lovecraftian-type, themes. I'd also say that this game is more focused, with smaller rooms that allow for less time wasted meandering. Comparing it to the previous games in the series, however, really makes me miss the box-type puzzles that really separated this series of games from others like the Myst. This game also has 4 endings, which is a tad on the tedious side. I think 2 would have sufficed.
The game was intriguing and the clues were in some cases well needed as there were periods where I got stuck. The graphics are brilliant . It would have helped sometimes to have a map showing where I was as you have to go back to various places.
Great value for money! The graphics are really impressive. There is a countless number of puzzles (5+ hours of play). The (free) available hints ensures it never gets frustrating. I thoroughly enjoyed playing it and hope there will be a next Room, maybe in a less scary and more cheerful environment? :)
Absolutely amazing, definitely worth buying. This is got to be one of the best puzzle games I have ever played, and I never once needed to look up a tutorial. Some bits were difficult to solve, but this game's hint system made the brain hurt a little less. 10/10 would highly recommend!
There's not much to say, it's a great game. Challenging yet solvable puzzles and hints of a mysterious story. Hints (if needed) are helpful, and the system is very good (option shows up after a short time without progress, no ads). There's a lot of content. The main game took me 6 hours to complete, and there are more alternate endings to explore. A battery drainer for sure, but high quality content. I will agree with others here however that the time spent going between rooms can be annoying.
This game is great! The graphics are beautiful and if you like puzzles and headscartchers, this is for you. It's also LONG! Everytime I thought, aw, this is the end, no more, I was wrong! I had just reached the end of a part/chapter. I don't regret this purchase at all. I wish all games that price on here were this quality. If you're tempted, give in, you won't regret it.
