Started out fine. Then would get only previous day's edition (or earlier) when I accessed app. Would have to specify current day in order to get it. Was told to uninstall and then reinstall to correct problem. Tried that twice with no success. App now uninstalled permanently.
The app has been improved. It stopped crashing. It could resize a little better, especially when reading the comics. The ability to save individual articles for future reading would be nice.
This app is terrible while your reading articles it closes and app freezes you are unable to access app after that. Don't know what's worse the delivery service or the app! The updated version is worst what a waste can you fix it??????
just takes a little getting used to. otherwise, full access to paper editions is pretty easy. i like the fact i can get to past editions.
Easy to use. Main screen is a page of the paper that can be enlarged depending on screen Navigation moves page by page or by section Articles enlarge to text only or page cut-outs with the ability to email to others
Crashes or hangs frequently and needs to be restarted. I suspect that there is a memory leak issue on android.
Very clunky. Routes you back to sign on screen even when it shouldnt. NY Times and Wash Post sites are what the Ledger should be emulating.
I am only giving 3 stars because the app "stops working " when You are still reading! Restarting takes you all the way back to the beginning. Happens every day😾i
The concept of this app is great... If only the execution wasn't so horrible. I use it every day and it crashes every day. Come on, Star Ledger, you can do better. We're paying you for this. We deserve much better.
Why are there ads. I pay 19 dollar a month. Do need to see ads while reading the paper. It's bs. If ads then don't charge me a monthly fee
Loke the news but wish we could select the types of articles or sections. Like I don't follow sports so much but they seem to dominate.
Worked fine until recently, when it failed to open. Restarting my phone and reinstalling app did not help.
Stopped working on my smartphone since the "update"; still works on my iPad and desktop, but I don't carry them always!
Stops randomly, does not store any but current edition, only get Essex edition, keep asking if I want latest edition when it starts.
What happened to real new reporting with unbiased stories. Every other story is some left sided fake news. Worse than CNN!
It's a new world getting quality news online with the newark star ledger....The website is working better then ever and give me important news Not reported anywhere else.

The newest version of the app is stable.
It is often difficult to get it started on the first attempt, doesn't automatically start on the current day's edition, crashes surprisingly often, and randomly (but often) switches from a screen I've enlarged (or trying to enlarge to a readable size) back to its original size. Extremely frustrating!
