The app runs slowly and gets even slower as you browse more forums, which makes it a frustrating experience. Phone is a 3 year old Samsung S7 Edge but it can still handle most things pretty well and smoothly, so definitely the app here. Will stick to the mobile website until the app is much better optimised.
Pretty decent, a lot better than the mobile experience of the website. TSR itself is great, and this app is a good way to access it. One star dropped due to some lack of general functionality (eg view profiles or open links within the app), and another dropped for lack of latex support on the app- it's imperative for a forum involving mathematical discussion to have latex support. Add these and it'd be 5 stars
This app is so bad that it is actually worse than the website, which defeats the point of having an app. First, the UI is horribly clunky and feels bloated - cut it down to what it is like on the website. The uniform dark blue theme is unattractive and makes everything unclear. Plus, this app lacks half the features that the website does. I can't post anonymously, and I cant use the TSR emojis / text editing. These are central to the TSR experience and cannot be left out of the app.
It's really hard to use. The overall layout is hard to understand and should be improved. Aka the user interface is really poor. Also there should be server's for different parts of the worlds, what's the point of asking about a certain college if the only people that will see it are people across the world. This would allow students from a certain area form a community and have a safe place online to talk about issues and honest reviews of different schools.
Nothing like the website. This is bascially what letters are to the internet. It's functionality is extremely limited and it's really basic. The browser version is better. Developers need to learn you can't just make an app ex nihilio.
This app is okay but is in drastic need of an update where there is a better layout, a way to edit your profile and at least have some more settings on it like the google page. The one good thing about the app is the notifications
After the new update,I have seen a lot of options in TSR to change ,such as now I can't change my account name ,my profile picture ,can not view images posted to forums properly. Please either fix these ,or bring back the old version of the app
The app is extremley slow that you can barely even chat! The app is very unresponsive and won't let you scroll properly at all on pm. I suggest using the web and/or pc.
Idk if its because of the version is old bit it's impossible to type on the app because the keyboard goes over the text box, sometimes works other times doesn't
App hasn't been updated in nearly 3 years. Really outdated interface and not really user friendly. I only use it for notifications
App is very poorly optimised, it lack most features from the website and generally isn't user friendly. Fix the design and stop the bugs and I'll reconsider changing the rating.
Website needs updating, verry old fasion and has many bugs.However overall it is decent. It is also not very easy to use.THE WEBSITE IS MUCH EASIER TO USE however it easier to access it through an app
This app is useless you'd be better off going on the website instead as the only thong you can do with the app is take part in the chat room. You can't access the student planner or revision cards on here and it would be great if you could.
The app is very buggy and missing some features that are included in the web version. Idk why but I can't use spoilers or emojis through the app.
I got the app after getting tired of the slightly clunky mobile website, and the app is quicker and smoother, but it lacks half the features, I won't lost then because they have already been said down in the other comments, but I wish I could enjoy this. But I can't.
It's good that you can chat with people. However, I was hoping that the app will have student planner -- it would be very very useful :)
Slow and glitchy. Never really know whether my posts are successful or not. Constantly freezing. Will definitely stick to website.
Garbage. Can't even reply to threads on it. Just says 'we can't find that thread' when you try to send a reply! Also no advanced posting options either. Worst forum app I have seen for a while.
App was working fine until recently when I did a software update on my phone and now the app is no longer compatible with this version!
it tells me i don't have permission to post. also when i want to open the forum list it gets stuck. Keeps getting stuck ,not working for me
Mostly functional, but it's really hard to post or reply as the resolution isn't quite right on my phone (Huawei mate 10 lite)
Eh well the actual webpage is better than the app. You can't view your profile or other people's profiles.
It's a really good app to talk to other people sitting exams too. I would love it if you guys added the getrevising part of tsr to it but otherwise is great
Please update this app. It lacks most features that the original website has ie option to change profile picture,the tsr emojis etc
Search wouldn't find what I wanted, then it just froze. Unistalling and sticking with the website.
Its so confusing I hate the layout, I don't understand where my profile is or where the different discussions are. I much prefer to use the Google version rather than the app but my account was banned for no reason. Pleaseeee update it so people can better understand what they are doing.
I actually hate it . BUT i think the issue is with my fon and not with your good app. Keep it up your idea is very good
scrolling doesn't even work correctly, you'll scroll one way and then it goes the other way.
I think it's a great thing. But the app doesn't have enough settings like the page on the internet. I liked TSR page on Google. If you could make the system on the app like the page it would be great. In the app there are no options no settings. The only thing that the app has is notification options.
