used to work on Android, but seems not to anymore. very frustrating since I am a subscriber. In fairness, the problem seems ro have been fixed since I wrote the previous sentence. the app is working now and makes reading the digital edition easy enough to read.
Can no longer download recent issues. Jan 7 and 14 (2022) issues cause authorization errors. Issues prior to those dates still download ok. But you won't get anything new till they fix what's wrong, and they don't seem in any hurry to do so. (Same problem on iOS app)
I regularly have to re-enter my subscription information to use the app. This a huge annoyance. Otherwise the app is decent, but this issue alone makes it not worth buying a subscription.
Great app for a great magazine, which I buy mainly for the sport and the motoring pages. Or not.
utterly useless ... simply does not work. the TLS app for the iPad is great, but this android one is garbage. pointless.
Yoohoo ! Might just be time for an update ? Checkout SPECTATOR app for tips, also needs a Dark Theme and general appearance option, this is pretty hard on the eyes.. Make it so, Cap'n Stigg 😧

Still a poor user experience (June 2020) This is a great app whose presence in the Android Google Play store shows the organisation behind a valuable product is finally joining the real world. The Kindle implementation was clunky but unfortunately the TLS is unable to resolve the authentication issues.. It is rare that the app works flawlessly. (2 July 2019) Still a horrendously crummy Android experience. (21 January 2021) As whimsical and capricious a product as ever. Best avoided.
Easy sign-in, weekly publications accessible on interface, and printings formatted to allow skipping among sections. Value and satisfaction obtained.
I'm a subscriber and have no intention of buying issues on line. I see no place to sign in.
It is excellent on my two Kindle Fire tablets, but it freezes after a few minutes on the Android ones (I use two Asus Zenpads). I have downloaded it many times on the latter, but have always had to un-install it again. It's a shame, as many subscribers will not be tablet fanatics like me and those with a purely Android OS are likely to be deprived of the TLS in the format that suits them best. On train journeys, I have to pack one of my chunky Kindles, not the light and pocketable Zenpads.
