The Trail

It's basically a survival game with a new take. But the game has it's fair share of bugs, performance issues, and apparently you have a great advantage collecting stuff on low quality settings. Every item you craft gets longer and longer crafting time to the point you just open the game craft a few things then close it and come back the next hour to check on it. Not exactly fun

Needs some work much. Though, its a fun game. The game is a lil glitchy and has plenty of bugs but there is a lot to do and a good amount of upgrades and achievements. I'd love to see this game get more attention. The online feature is so nice but under used as most people don't play for long enough to get to a town and many people in my town haven't gotten on in forever. I am not sure how fix this; though, I am sure that someone smarter will be able to figure it out.

This is an amazing game! It's simple, yet complex. I like how slow-paced it is, while always giving you a goal to work toward. I play it for hours! The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is because they need to do some bug fixes, like items randomly being frozen in the middle of your screen, and the loading screen turning blank and not letting you into the game.

I really like this game, I only just got it but it feels so cool to play and is really fun. The artstyle is cartoony and the setting of the forests is really nice to see when your not on the trail. Also the music is great, really fun game tbh I just got it but its really addicting. Although, I couldn't buy a house even with the right amount of money and there was nothing I could've done about it so it'd be cool if they fixed that.

Great game. But there's this one annoying glitch were an item I crafted or picked up gets stuck on my screen, reseting the game fixes it but I wish it wouldn't happen in the first place. One more suggestion- being able to change your charactar at any time would make my day, I accidently chose one I'm not a fan of. Also I just love that this game is based off early America, history isn't used often in games and it can be boring. But this is the best fictional historical game I've ever played. :)

chose the game because i have to be able to play offline. there's a serious flaw in the forced town selection. getting kicked from towns for being offline and moved to a town with literally nothing. all the time, money, gold bars invested in original town, just gone. after the third time this happened i uninstalled. not worth constantly having to rebuild simply because I'm playing offline more often than not.

Bugs. First things first I really love the game, the scenery, the adventure, the interaction with npcs. It's so nice and it's been my most wished to play game in my wish list. BUT, the tree aren't displayed on my screen (only the axe symbol appears) and I couldn't manage my walking speed for no reason after a period of playing

I really liked everything about the game. The artstyle, the mechanics. Everything was perfect. But at some point it just became really boring. Your equipment always broke, so you couldn't farm money, because you always needed to get new clothes, or you'll just faint everytime you leave a camp. It's quite sad, because I really enjoyed walking in beautiful flower fields and seeing beautiful mountain landscapes, now it's just "You lost your shirt" "you need to eat" "need this and that".

The game becomes very boring and tedious. The guests become almost unbearably boring, making the amount of items so high you're doomed to run the same trails repeatedly. Sometimes trails will have nothing, literally nothing, but eats your stamina all the same. The higher you get on the trail doesn't equal better prizes either, or even sale items from the merchant blimp. You don't end up with any rare items really and more often than not the higher you are the worse the items. It's a waste.

Crashes leaves my screen white for over 10 minutes won't let me play after a certain point. I love it but I'm glad I didn't wast my money on it because of how many times it crashed on me when I got to a certain level. Get 3 stars bc I liked the graphics and know someone put their hard work into this game nothing else.

I have an on again, off again relationship with this game. It's a beautiful game with a great idea, but the controls are so clunky, they could really use a refresher. However, I've been playing this over quite a few years now, never really getting to Eden falls, and it hasn't really changed much. My first issue with it, is how you can't sit and trade at a camp after you've traded once. More than a few times, I just don't have enough time to sell everything, and I end up with a half full inventory, making me precariously balance my inventory or bypass a lot. Why wouldn't I be able to trade more after new people arrive? Another point is how the inventory works. I love the balancing part, but it's so frustrating when I drop a clothing items and go to pick it up, only for the bag to pop up so that the clothing items is shoved into it suddenly, making everything go flying out. I don't want to equip every clothing items I pick up, so it would be great if the menu wouldn't open every time, and especially not so sharply as it does now. I love this game otherwise, both me and my little brother enjoy the heck out of it! Keep up the good work, and don't stop here! Please!

EDIT: In order to try and fix the glitch, I uninstalled the app. When I reinstalled, it would not allow me to link my account, thus making me lose the in-game puchases I had made! ORIGINAL: I really enjoy this game, but a lot of the time, when I open the app, it stays frozen on a white screen and I have to restart it half a dozen times before it actually goes through. Otherwise, great gameplay!

I played The Trail a a year or two ago and I absolutely loved it. I decided to download it on my new phone. Sadly the game hasn't lived up to standards. I've switched from iPhone to Samsung and now the game is barely playable. The game is zoomed in so you can't select anything on the edge of the view screen; making settings and quests impossible to select. My game also crashed and would not go past the black opening screen. I've now lost all progress.

I love this game and how casual it is but I logged in after several months, at least, of not popping on and my progress was erased. That's not the problem per se. I enjoyed restarting and relearning the mechanics. My problem here is that now, I'm getting a white screen often. I can occasionally get it to load in and play for a bit but it glitches quite a bit too. Fix this particular bug and I'll be more then happy to change to five stars!

The idea behind the gameplay is very interesting - you run along the trail, collect items, craft, buy and sell. I didn't get further than that, because the game keeps lagging and I wasn't able to do anything properly (trading was almost impossible). Also the controls didn't work for me consistently, I often had to repeat swipes to get the character do something. It's quite strange given the basic graphics of the game. I played much more advanced games on this phone without problems, this is the first one.

There were some glitches. One would be when you get into the game, the logos ko gregate and 22 cans would show up, next you will get a white screen. I waited and waited but nothing happen. I could hear the audio, but nothing else happened. Another is when you craft something, the item crafted might stay in the middle of the screen. You can't drag it away or anything, and it stays on your screen and is really annoying. Otherwise, great game

I give this game 4 stars because I love the game play so much. However, it has several persistent bugs (present over the last...3 years I've been playing this game off and on?) They hinder the enjoyment but do not make the game unplayable. This game is relaxing, beautiful, quirky, and the soundtrack is lovely. Good sense of progress until you make it to Eden Falls, which turns out to be barely the halfway point. I've never made it to the end yet.

The Trail is absolutely fantastic! The music is out of this world relaxing!❤️ and the scenery is very beautiful. I had been playing this oftenly.I really like how it is challenging, and I get to meet people. The only annoying thing is the small backpack, cuz my things often falls off. Its the only thing I dont like in the trail (and also the 'life' in the further game). I would really recommend this!! (Just as long as your not a hot tempered person😁)

Edit 2: Urgently in need of an update, the fact that you cant get to the "build a community" objective or further is very disappointing. Edit: I solved the white screen problem. You have to disconnect from google play in the app. I did and it hasn't happened at all since then. My rating would be higher if items didnt get stuck on the screen during crafting. Although, it's visually pleasing and very fun, with simple mechanics and a premise that feels refreshing compared to other apps.

This is a beautiful a game. It's super engaging, great graphics, and very unique (at least compared to the other games I've played). HOWEVER, it is not designed to be played on the phone that I have (and this is a brand new phone!). The tabs for selecting quests aren't on my screen. I found a work-around, I play the game on split screen, and that ratio fixes it. But I should NOT have to do this, please fix this.

I really like this game but the bugs are making it impossible to play. It always takes over 3 times loading and reloading to get it to start, if it starts at all. Once your in, the crafted items get stuck on the screen 80% of the time, needing to start the reloading saga again. Soundtrack is lovely, and its a cute little game, but the slow progress is really not helped by how hard it is to get functional

The game is great but it keeps freezing and when I restart it, it is just a blank white screen. The game is great but having to restart my tablet/phone to play it when I've barely gotten halfway to Eden is stressful. Also when I account is opened on a new device, for the first camp I can't run and I have to walk all the way to the next camp. Except from these faults it's otherwise good

This is a fun way and a great way to kill time. There are 2 reasons I didn't give it a higher rating. 1, the in game purchases are obscenely overpriced, and 2, to you can't help other travellers when they collapse. I think having the ability to help people would be a big improvement. It's kinda sad when you're forced to just walk past their barely conscious body, knowing that you have a pack full of food.

I think the game is amazing and I have already spent money to gain items(a sign that I love the game and plan to continue playing) however the game is fairly buggy. Often fails to load in or things freeze on my screen, preventing me from clicking or advancing. Sometimes it fails to give me the items I have purchased straight away, often needing to reload the game and go looking for said items. If these kinks were ironed out, I would happily continue to throw money at you. The concept is amazing!

This is an excellent game that I really enjoyed. I would not mind paying for it to avoid ads. I had to uninstall/reinstall to get past a white screen; all my progress was lost, which is a major bug. If this is fixed, I'll change my rating. It would also be nice if you could customize your character in a way that's not just choosing random pictures from a pile. Same issue even after opting into cloud-saving my game progress the second time.

I only got 5 minutes into the game, it looks really fun and i want it play it, but the audio is extremely choppy and cut up for me, the music and background stops and skips at random, and the characters voice cuts in and out. Some of the directions where unclear but im more concerned about fixing this problem! Please help i want to play and enjoy the game!

Love the game, but the controls were very weird to me in the beginning. I still can't easily close my bag by swiping and not start walking instead, but there's a bug that annoys me; I craft some stuff and instead of falling into my bag, it stays stuck mid screen and I have to restart the game. This is happening more and more often, so if it could be fixed please?
