Poorly designed app with badly organized categories. The same headlines appear multiple times in one category but only one will actually have content. Even then content is often minimal or has no visuals. Finally deleting the app after submitting feedback and hoping it would improve.

News articles are often boring and the videos have publicity media which is much too long..... No one is going to look at a 30 seconds add, before getting to the video pertaining to the article!

I like this app, used it for years on my Samsung cell and tablet. I always update, don't have freezes or crashes? I don't understand why all the complaints or issues people have? I know ads are annoying when reading a story. Are people using outdated old equipment causing problems?

The words on the pages of articles I would read were always a bit shaky. I thought it was my phone glitching at first. I deleted this app and problem solved with a new news app.

Sends breaking news notification even when the feature is disabled. When trying to send feedback, email bounced back. Will uninstall unless resolved.

App loses your place after reading a story and you have to scroll all the way down again every time. No dates on articles so that you can tell how old they are without opening them.

Very slow and almost impossible to scroll, seems to be due to ads not working properly. On a galaxy s10 almost unusable

I used to be able to see the actual paper with this app and now it's just a news feed app. Done with Pacific Press now.

Shuts down constantly on my Samsung tablet.Now shuts down constantly on my Samsung phone. Won't even launch now. Utterly useless app.

Navigation is horrible. Much better to get your local news from another source

The breaking news notifications no longer works anymore. I'm using Android 9. :(

Great newspaper and good news updates for local Vancouver news.... Can be very usefull to review.

I will probibly delete this junky news rag, as everytime i turn it on the first thing that pops up is spam....ucp jason kenny bs....completely dissapointed to have my news disrupted by political junk...will probibly remove this app for good

It's all just lies & propaganda since Trudeau bought all the media with our hard earned tax dollars.

Promotes and publishes flagrantly racist, "reliably Conservative" anti-diversity articles and hate speech masquerading as academic input in its Op-Eds. Not to be trusted as an objective news source.

You have completly ruined this App. Did you intentionally set out to make it user hostile?

Just read my review from 2017, and I realize I am having the same problem in 2021. I reinstalled this app a year or so ago but am STILL having trouble with the app freezing on my Samsung phone. I have the current update, still freezes. Its not my phone because I have absolutely no problem with any other app on my phone. Too bad, its well designed, just cant read anything without freezing.

Very slow to load on my new powerful Galaxy Note 20 Ultra ..sometimes, it looks like it's frozen. This is a under the hood bug and should be fixed.

Force closes quite often. When it does work it's passable. Could really use a dark theme for night time reading. Edited to 1 star after the redesign. Ads ruin the app. No swipe to next article, no text size option... What were they thinking.

I don't like the update at all! Before I could go between local, national, world, etc. Now if I try to go under topics I can't and it just seems to repeat the same articles no matter how far I scroll down. I'm about ready to uninstall this!!!

This app is largely unusable due to adverts. Many times I'll try and read an article and be forced into some advert thar I can't even get out of, so you can never actually access the article. The layout of the news is also terrible. Just one long list of news articles seemingly with no rhyme nor reason. Take a leaf out of the BBC's book, that'd how you organise a news app.

I have an issue where when I click on an article it sends me to an ad where I don't have any options to click to get out of it and when I used the back button it forces me back to the ad. I understand the need for advertising but ramming it down my throat and making me force close the app seems a bit excessive.

Use ctv as they have the same news stories but the app works much better. Now, van sun continues to play videos and won't go back to the actual story I'm using. Horrible app, not worth using

App is almost unusable, keeps crashing and sending you in loops that will not let you access content. Too bad, good newspaper, terrible app.

Way too many disruptive advertisements. Almost as if the app has a bug. You can't even read the articles without being forced to some advertisement page. Very very annoying.

Simply not on par with other major newspaper mobile apps. Link to articles often send you to another unrelated article. Content appears to be unedited as it is full of typos. Video links do not work. In short, minor league app for a major league city.

Since installing the update to this latest version the app no longer works at all. A connection error occurs stating network unavailable instead.

The app has a bug that insists on pulling a viewed page back up when you try to leave it. Once it starts doing that the only way to do anything is to shut the app down completely. Very annoying.
