I have given up on this flaky app and just use a pinned browser link on my Android tablet. It provides a better reading experience without unexpected closes, and unlike the app provides full content and search capability.
I like getting the hometown news but many times it's hard to get that news in a timely manner. By the time it's posted on this site it's usually old news. This is especially true for the college and high school sports.
Previously could read articles for free and now it's required to pay a ridiculous amount to subscribe to read anything! Refuse to subscribe, lots of other ways to get free local news.
You see what they want, Can't Search, limited local content, Uninstalling,,, a same reasons I don't take their paper.
Will not work. Only the title page comes up and does not ever go on to the newspaper.
It keeps closing out. I paid to subscribe to the news paper and it won't let me access nothing .
Had it for years. Recently required subscription to read articles. Promptly uninstalled.
News coverage is really strange. Need to reference the Omaha World Herald.
I used to be able to read some of the articles on this app. Now i have to subscribe to read anything. Not worth it.
"Error fetching feeds" problem appears to be resolved...
Once again developers enhanced a good app to the point that it is now a piece of trash.
Most difficult app I use regularly and not by a little.
Won't load or stops frequently.
Crashes upon startup on all my tablets and phones.
Ccannot gget any news. The app will not allow me to enter my password.
The new update us so annoying.

July 31, 2021: In my prior review, I remarked this app gets worse with each revision. The current revision (7/28/21) carries on in that tradition. Yesterday, there was no virtual paper edition to load; today, I had to navigate through several screens before I landed on a screen to choose topics in my home display--with no visible way to navigate to home.

👍Was in WICHITA, KS years ago while daughter was attending college (1993). Lifestyle and people are very pleasant. My family were stationed in Fort RILEY, KS IN 1982. Missing the WICHITA EAGLE Newspaper. Totally the apposite from Los Angeles, CA. 👍

Very problematic app, crashes does not work at all in certain areas. I would never pay for their subscription.

I enjoy state and world news along with Wichita news.
(Wichita Eagle subscription policy has no bearing on how good or bad the app is). But after working very well for one day, the app will not start. Forcing stop, clearing the cache, clearing all data, and uninstalling and re-installing did not change the error message. Customer Service advised that this app works with Android 11 operating system, not version 7.0 that I have. Because it will not start, it gets the lowest rating.
