I used this app for my first child and LOVED it! I found all the information and leaps spot on. Then an update happened and the app is now unusable for me with my second because the information showing doesn't match her age or ability. The new update is clunky, difficult to use, doesn't match up at all with my kid's age, leaps and ability. Really disappointing since I loved the previous version so much! Wish I could get it back!
I guess an update happened and I lost all the notes I had made for my 2018 baby. All the little "you learned this" info is completely gone because I never imagined an update would delete information your app was built to store. Pretty peeved off about that. Backup was not an option back then. Won't be using for the new baby.
it's ok Edit post request from app developer: Most the info in the app is out there on the internet. Nothing special included in the app. Very repeative. Isn't massively helpful to use. Costs too much for what it is. I definitely wouldn't buy it again. Would suggest others steer away and get just look up info on Google.
Calendar doesn't ever match up for us and the developmental milestones are almost always said to come way after our daughter is doing them or way later, but all kids are different. We just check in with the ap now and then for ideas for skills we can build activities around.
2 months later and I have emails back and forth with zero actual help to fix these issues. Beyond annoyed. Not worth the money. I've contacted to let them know that the in-app videos don't play on my android device, with no real response or support given. Also, the leaps don't really seem to align at all. My daughter was born only 4 days "past due" and is currently 13 weeks, but it has her at 18 or so... I'm not at all impressed with this and it was raved about to me, by several friends.
I was recommended by a friend to try out wonder weeks as she seems to love it but I found it to be inaccurate to my daughters schedule. I inputted everything correctly as asked and it was not adding up. My daughter was great during the "bad times" and awful during the "good times". I'd normally not write a review like this but when I'm paying for the app, I'd expect it to be accurate.
The information seems great for understanding what my newborn is experiencing. I paid for the full version on an old phone and now on my new phone the profile doesn't transfer over. There are less skills showing per leap on the new phone, why doesn't this full version transfer over when it's a paid upgrade?
I have taken it on Danish. There are so many spelling mistakes and often words have been forgotten to be translated. Not so difficult to go through the material and make sure that all words have been translated, shows how much effort they don't put into the work.
I actually really love this app, it's been super interesting learning about my daughter's development. However, today out of the blue all of my data on the app is gone. It's completely formatted and I have to input everything from the beginning. It was working fine yesterday
Great for giving you an idea of when and why your baby might be harder to settle, which helps with patience, but take with a pinch of salt, the development milestones seem way too advanced and it doesn't always align exactly.
Very bossy sounding & one-size app. My kid came home from the hospital producing tears and blowing spit bubbles, but the app doesn't acknowledge any of that as a possibility. I paid for it and will keep it around for future reference but just get the CDC Milestones app for free and learn your baby. Sometimes they'll be mad, sometimes they'll sleep poorly, they'll hit their milestones when they hit them. Wouldn't bother with it again.
Poor changed to french. My app has randomly changed to French and I can't change it but also when it was English. The milestones are so far out it causes unnecessary worry and you can find better info on normal websites. Very disappointing
Pseudoscience. The whole leap theory is made up. If you try too hard, and you have some books you really want to sell, you might start seeing patterns in pure chaotic data. Come to think of it, that's the phenomenon we should study...
I loved this app. It helped me notice changes in my baby. But it recently just reset and everything I had documented in the diary is gone. All her previous leaps and 1sts that I recorded in there.
A brilliant tool to help parents (especially first timers) understand the sudden mood and temperament change of their beautiful baby. It has given me a lot more confidence to deal with the tears and tantrums knowing both why my baby was behaving this way at that particular moment and when it may (approximately) end.
so far the info has been pretty accurate. The app is easy to use and more convenient than googling the info everytime. It's been fascinating. this is the only app I've ever paid for and I think it's definitely worth it.
I really enjoyed that I was able to notice the leaps and what my baby was noticing in the world around him. Although it is not a super must-have app, it is very enjoyable, specially as a first time mom. I also downloaded the CDC milestones app, but I enjoyed this one much more. (Different type of content though.)
great app for helping parents understand babies will be fussy, also for understanding developmental milestones babies go through. This is not an exact science. It's just to reassure you that all babies fuss basically. So take it with a grain of salt and hopefully find it reassuring! :)
Seems my original review has been deleted reposting: Looks like a good app, would be nice (since it's a paid app) I would be able to share the app so both my wife and I can have it on our respective phones. Edited: Developer responded using the same copy and pasted response from their FAQ sighting 'privacy' as the issue behind not allowing app sharing as folx would have to create an account. I'm sure it has a lot more to do about generating money then the 'privacy' concerns of users.
definitely helped a ton as I was a first time mom when I first got this app. this is for every mom and dad. it benefits you in helping your baby and understanding them from the very moment they are born.
all the information on the app you can get on the website . only thing your paying for Is the calendar . which then explains that it can be incorrect 2 weeks either side of the due date . . disappointed
My baby doesn't line up with the leaps and I can't customise it to make it better suited to us. Info can be found on google, app not worth the money I paid for it.
Wasn't a believer, my wife convinced me to get it. Superb. Highly recommend it. Nothing like having a look at the app and knowing they are leaping when they suddenly stop sleeping or get fussy.
Inaccurate leap dates for my baby and there's very little information. It just basically states what to expect within each leap. There's more free information on their website than on the app. I wouldn't bother paying £4.99 for this app.
Does not read easily. Find it too busy and not fun to read or check on weekly. I lose interest halfway through.
Really fantastic app that helped me understand my babies and their needs much better. Plus, I could plan for fussy phases and have a good sense of when they'd end!
Loved this app until I got a new phone. I'd purchased an upgrade to have more items to tick off per leap. This, it seems, will not transfer to my new phone. Really rubbish considering I paid money for this.
this app really helps put my mind and ease, when my baby is extra fussy or starts sleeping poorly, it's a sure sign of a leap approaching. It's also fun to see ahead, all the new developments to come.
Not worth the money. Came highly recommended, but at 8 months old, only one leap has seemed to line up, seems a bit like astrology. Awkward interface. Some info is interesting, and I like seeing what skills might be coming up, but wasn't worth the money for those things. I started using the diary feature but wish I hadn't, as I can't export the diary in a nice format to save on my computer, plus my backups stopped working in April 2021 and took 11 months and a lot of emails to get it fixed.
