The You Testament: The 2D Coming
This special project is entirely free to play from beginning to end, whereupon you can even earn the chance to start again with a character of your own creation at any point in the story. If you'd like to fast-track to this status, and save your changes to all other characters, you can upgrade to make the game your own.
CONTROLS
You can see an in-game guide at any time by tapping the health meter to pause, but the basic controls are as follows:
D-Pad = Double-tap to run
A = Attack
G = Grapple (any button with or without a direction to execute a throw or hold)
P = Pick-Up / Drop (with a direction to throw)
U = Use object
P + U = Combine objects
Eye = Sleep (Hold to meditate)
Meter = Pause / Exit
Book = Bible reference
Pinch = Zoom in / out
Look out for other hints in the game itself from scrolls or other characters!
Please consult the "Options" menu to adapt the game to your taste, and improve performance by setting the appropriate "Population" for your device.

Your games are awesome but this game is awesome too. But one flaw is that it needs a save feature. Cause when you die. All that progress cannot be revisited. Can you make an autosave function. Also add a button on the homescreen to access your saves. So you could see and use your previous and current saves. Put like three saves if possible. Also on the new life button please get rid of it's use as a respawn button and have it reset the game. Also make it so that you can respawn in game.
Love everything about it except that you can't resurrect your character through the editor and when your character dies and you have to start a new game, it doesn't inherit the same universe. It resets EVERYTHING! So all that hard work you put in customizing your character is GONE! Nevertheless, the gameplay is really fun and plays like Supercity. If you could just fix those two gripes I have, then this one could even be better then supercity. Great Job on this one Matt! Well done bro.
The cutscenes sometimes never triggers, even after exiting and entering again(especially after jesus dies). Other than that the game is phenomenol. It combines all of the previous 2D Mdickie games and adds an engaging story. My favourite Mdickie game by a long shot. Keep it up!
Hi MDickie! You truly never fail us with the games you develop! Ahh, this brings back memories when i used to play this on my old (now broken) pc and had fun playin around with weird powers! Now i get to play this good 'ol classic on mobile, with new additions! However, my device seems to be having a Hard Time trying to play the game, it lags when too much people are there, can you optimize it a bit, and please let us choose time speed! anyways, love the game, and very nostalgic! thanks dude!!
It's a really fun game if you like the bible, some problems tho are that the story can be a bit repetitive and long and sometimes you can just mess up. But other times the game breaks itself and you have to restart the story, also you have to buy the premium version to change the story sometimes, over all not a bad game, the things you learn and the people you meet is actually fun and it has some deeper lore sometimes you can even believe the npcs are alive, 4 out of 5 good game imo
This is the best 😊, and really a time burner. By time burner, I mean this is a game you'll keep on playing and you'll never know when time passes, I highly recommend this game for anyone that wants to eradicate boredom. Infact, I recommend any MAT DICKIE game for anyone looking to eradicate boredom. The games are the best offline games. Awesome story line, incredible interaction between characters, it's just perfect, perfect, perfect !!!👌. I love it.
Not sure if you abandoned the game, but let me do some recommending. The game is great as always, but the story needs more paths depending on which fraction you are in. I'm praising jesus while being a roman. Not too great there. The concept of satan was great, but weak. It should also have a heal, but rather vampirism. Insanity, blindness etc were all completely useless. Hell, even the power to tore off limbs was not strong nor satisfying. Should've been more of an instant "pop."
One word for this.. Amazing!!! It explains very well about history i assume after jesus was crucified. It has a great storyline and powers are super cool!! The only thing that annoys me a little is that the controls there is no R button and all of the sudden the white button changed from T to U. Other than that you cant really hate the game at all.
This game is really good. I've played it,loved it and enjoyed it its a really good game. Its just that can you make more games like this one when finish playing the game. It starts to get boring can u just maybe make a second one please. Keep up the good work
This app is great and everything but there some problems.(1)the app gets boring when your done with all the missions there's literally nothing else to do.(2)why can't you make it 3D like on pc(3)realeas more games for mobile phones
Perfect game just like the pc version but there is one difference between the pc and the mobile version, the difference is that if you finish the game on pc it will show some credits but on mobile you can just do whatever you want after finishing the game and that's a good feature.
I grew up playing MDickie games on the PC. You wouldn't appreciate his games as much if you didn't play his original indie PC games. People complain that the game is buggy, but that's how it's supposed to be. And even before you have No Instructions on how you should progress, every MDickie game (except Manager types) don't have instructions. Part of the game is discovering how it's supposed to be played. Thanks MDickie for the childhood memories. :)
I completely love the games that you make keep up the good work but I would love to make recommendations like maybe a multiplayer but I think I could live without that but a really cool one would be making a world war 3 situation like all countries and you can deploy troops travel and all sorts of the cool other things you do keep up the good work. Also maybe you could great a regular life sim that may be really enjoyable where you go to school grow up creative relationships find jobs and etc.
I love the app overall. Amazing graphics, smooth controls, interactive people. The only thing I really dont like is the fact that if you become a Roman soldier, you cant arrest or bring people to court etc. Great game!
This game is pretty cool by itself, but you know what would make it really cool..... if we can control our bad and good powers know matter what without haven't to build up a certain type of energy. To make it fair....we can only acces it if we completed the story. ;]
I'm very grateful that Mat has decided to recreate this masterpiece, I didn't expect The You Testament to be switch over to this platform, I'm not sure if I like how the Run button was removed and replace with double tapping the move buttons to run, but it's genuinely good I fancy this game it's probably my favourite out of all the other games made by Mat, and admire how it has a lot of the mechanics from previous games combined into one, I mean it's not the Bible obviously it's inspired by historical events, but I appreciate that the story isn't strict.
Great game it is educational and fun, you can choose to be a rebel and use the Satan's powers instead of the the good guy powers if there is one thing that needs improvement it is and I'm really nitpicking here but in all your mobile games it is so frustrating to only have one save instead of like 5 on the PC if it is possible pleassse add at least 3 saves on all of your mobile games and it will make life for less frustrating and easier play
I LOVE the new storytelling mechanics and i think this should be added in the older games to spice things up. I love how you put jesus and satan in the game. Also i love how you can unlock most features without paying. Overall this game is perfect but i have a few suggestions: - after you complete the story, theres not much to do. - make it where you can be jesus after he dies and have your own following. - more storylines after the main one maybe -make ppl scared of you if u use satanic powers
Well worth the few dollars spent into upgrading to full version. With how MDickie games are, one would expect blasphemy on every corner but it actually isn't. Also, you can resurrect yourself every time once you get past a story point. The coliseum is also a fine addition.
Can say no to this game amazing game I ever played just downloaded it and fell in love with it so I also like your other games like school day, extra lives, and wreked but I think the control should be a little bit more good because it glitches sometimes. Okay so i delted it guess why because it was so glitchy but after a year I dowloaded today and i mean it's gud but the promblem is frickin same! Plz I would like u to change it in 3d because the control will be much easier to Handle Thanks....
It is four out of five because from the starting of the game, settled in a good way.After the mission's or settled features finishes in the game is going on my choosing character own way.I mean the character is free.I think it must be change after the game missions what is happened or affected in my characters life.Although It is a good and interesting game.
Hello, game is great. Wanted to ask 1 thing tho, i bought the full version of the game and have a trouble with character editor. When i create a character in editor it is not visible in the list while starting the game ( or the changes that i did in editor are not applied to the character). Thanks in advance.
Loving it so far. Everything great about the previous games is here. Loving the new features and assets. Using currency commonly is a really cool idea. *I've noticed two bugs which are both minor and major. The minor bug causes limbs to disappear when grabbing items from NPCs. This bug is in other titles which use the dual wield feature. Another comes in the form of dialogue bubbles never appearing, causing the camera to focus on an NPC indefinitely.
