TheftPatrol

This was installed by the dealership. It sounds cool but doesn't function very well. It's not always accurate or reliable. The notifications can be very delayed. It's not realistic to expect this to prevent or deter a theft.

Had workedc flawlessly for 4 years until just recently. It doesn't show where my car is at the moment or within minutes like before. The Next day it tells me the car is somewhere I was at yetsterday but showing time as now. Very inaccurate now! What happened??? Please Fix It.

I install the theft patrol kits and I have a Samsung galaxy s21 ultra It takes me up to 20 minutes to get the theft kit installed because of the app not connecting to the gps module. My coworker has an iPhone, Theft kits install instantly every time. I wish that the app was more android friendly 😪

Vehicle was stolen today, I was able to follow the thug throughout city with police on the line and tell them exactly where the guy was going and they caught the scumbag. Worked perfectly no lag and no latency. Real time.

Always gives false information and make me panic. I often got notifications like movement alert and car exited from home alert even though my car is being parked in garage. How bad. Also if this app has some features to get the exact address of the car it would be helpful. So far, its good if you do NOT have this app.

While you don't actually see the car in motion, it will show where your car was very recently. It didn't work when we first got the car but an email got me the TheftPatrol service number where a short phone call got the update (to the car) from their tech department that fixed the problem. I recommend they say that here so people don't get mad at them. I only gave four stars because, for what it cost, you should see the car dot moving.

Logs trips that I don't make. My car is parked but it shows on the log it just did a trip; pretty much impossible as my car is physically parked and I can see it. I am bound to think TheftPatrol is using the same ID for multiple customers as the reason I'm receiving a movement log or trips on the log that my car did not make.

Really impressed that the terms of service and start button are overlapped so all it does is ask if you want to download terms of service again. So far it's useless and just taking up space on phone.

Love, love, love!!! Recently I had engine trouble and I could show the mechanic exactly what happened - voltage wise - simply opening this App!!! Loved that I had the visual to explain for me what was happening. PLUS when I left the car with him.. for one, then two, then three days, I could see EXACTLY where he drove it without telling me!!! lol. Works brilliantly. Gives me great peace of mind and security. As soon as my daughter is old enough to drive (next year) she's getting one too!!!!

This app and the device work flawlessly for the 3 vehicles that I have it installed. Their customer service is excellent. Once of my device was not working and I just sent an email. Not only they respond within an hour, they also fix the issue. I am very happy about this app, their device and their service. You will not regret installing TheftPatrol when you buy a vehicle. Nothing can go wrong with a company there to help you and support.

Sold as is, on a new car. At first, it looked good. It got 2 small trips right. Now it's had the car stuck on a freeway for 5 hours. And says the 3 small trips within one or two hours amounted to 1511 miles on a car with about 500 total miles. Since then, mostly better. It is curious that there had been no reply in 6 months, though, isn't it?

Amazing. I had my vehicle stolen and my insurance was not going to cover the whole amount since I purchased the vehicle recently so I owed more than it was worth. Thank god I had gotten this protection. I did not use the app functions very much but it paid out $5000 for me to replace my car. Thanks to this coverage I did not owe any money on the stolen vehicle 5 stars.

Sold my car and there was no way to cancel the service. Opened it up and I can see my old car in the dealership. Called the number left a message but I believe there is no refund. It is a cashgrab by the dealer. However managed to partially get back my extended warranty back and I will never go to that dealer again. I finally uninstalled app so I do not get back old memories of my car.

I keep getting security alerts, but it does not say what the alert was for. only that it was triggered. would like more info regarding those. Other than that I like the app. Esp the locator part.

This app is a borderline scam being pushed by dealerships as a cash grab. There are so many better options out there that aren't an insane price. My dealership wanted to charge me 1000 for this app and after saying no 3 times, they ended up reducing the price of my car by 1000 and still including this just so they could get whatever perk / kickback they get by slinging this garbage. Don't get ripped off with this one, folks.

It doesn't always update in real time. For example I've been driving my car around since 6am this morning and it says it hasn't moved since 7:58p last night. Disappointing to say the least.
