With the new Android software update, issues have been taken care of. The phone app can be wiped from the screen and close. The alarm setpoints have been taken care of on the ThermaQ WiFi transmitter.

This is a terrible app. For a device costing this much the app ought to allow connection to a tablet but no - just a meaningless error and no way to fix. Thermaworks if you want to keep selling this device fix the app!

When it works it's great. I have issues with it repeatedly dropping connection to my ThermaQ WiFi though. Have to force stop the app and restart.

I agree with the statement that a device costing this much should have a much better app. This is absolutely terrible. The range is rediculously short if you can ever get it connected. This is not the quality I expect from this company. Very dissatisfied.

The app functionality is fine, but my Pixel 4XL gets a visual notification every few min, rapidly draining the battery and it is very distracting

Device never showed up to pair with.

The app is nice, but does not close. I get alerts every time I try to get rid of notifications, so there is always a notification on top of my phone. Once I'm done cooking, a notification that you cannot close pops up. Thermaq makes great products to track temperatures, but this app is broken. Not thermaq quality.

App is very easy to use compared to many other wireless thermometers on the market. Setting temp limits and alerts is simple. I would rate it 5 stars if it weren't for the MAJOR flaw that you can't shut down the app easily. No app has any business running without a good reason. Makes me suspicious of the purpose.

No way to close the app. Had to manually deactivate it from the app manager and need to go back there to turn it on every time I'm going to use it. I hope you put an effort to fix this app and make it work because without it the ThermaQ WiFi unit is useless.

No way to actually close the app. Battery hog like others have said. Who's designing the apps over there? Too bad. Love everything else from Thermoworks. The app is going to to be uninstalled and the ThermaQ is going back. Very disappointed.

No way to stop the application from running. Had to delete it. Needs to be fixed.

Current version had the same problem of being a power hog and you can't close it like any other app. It seems to of fixed the problem of constantly disconnecting from WiFi, was going to return my purchase because of it. Disappointed at the number of problems for a $300 WiFi temp monitor.

Sensor error. I got it with the high heat probes and it won't read temps on Android. Works on iPhone app. Embarrassing app guys, do some basic testing before you submit to the app store.

I also can't shut off the app. VERY poorly designed. I have to reboot or go to app manager to shut it down. This is basic stuff?

This is a real power hog. It remains running in the background even after I close it. I had to disable it in app mgr to get power usage back to normal. However, when I do need to use it, it works as advertised, staying connected no matter where I go in the house, unlike Bluetooth.

Can't silence the alarms
