Thermostat

This app is trash. The thermostat is not responsive to changes imput on the app the first, second, third and sometimes the 4th times a change is requested. I just had to disconnect the thermostat to get it to turn off. The app randomly changes the temperature to "save money". The app shows I have saved about $40 in 4 years. We are getting a replacement asap.

Don't do it. While it's nice to have remote access to your thermostat for free, I found I was constantly battling the programming. For example, I had it set at a very conservative 67 for heat during the winter months (i.e., right now) and it keeps dropping it to 66. While you may say it's only one degree, I set it at 67 because that is the coldest I can tolerate and save energy. When it drops lower in its "eco mode" I feel it and makes me have to bump it up again. I gave up in fighting it and am removing it tomorrow. Too bad NVEnergy just didn't give energy rebates on smart thermostats and instead went with this.

I can't get into the account to manage the app. I tried calling customer service several times over the course of a few weeks and they could not fix it. Eventually they just stopped returning my calls. I started service with NVEnergy in August and had to go back to snail-mail billing since they had issues managing the online billing/auto-pay as well. Overall, I think you're better off manually adjusting your thermostat based off what I read in the reviews and my own experiences.

Been using this for 6 years. The app design & usability are okay. Despite having some very annoying bugs, it was workable. Until recently. Now it rarely works, as in changes made within the app aren't being relayed to the thermostat. The app hasn't been updated in over 4 years, so did they do an ota update to the thermostats? Because suddenly what worked intermittently before hardly ever works at all now.

As others have reported - the app stopped working weeks ago. For the past few weeks adjustments in the app no longer sync with the thermostat. I have tried clearing all cache/data uninstall and reinstall. No luck. We are replacing the nv energy thermostat with one that actually works and is reliable. With small children in the house I can't be worried about a broken thermostat causing issues in the middle of the night.

It works, however.... It auto adjusts the thermostat when I don't want it to. An option to opt out of the auto adjust would be great. Or at the very least an ALERT when it auto adjusts. I have my thermostat set to 75 during Winter starting at 10PM. Each time I check, it sets it to 72 on its own.

This app is garbage. I am constantly trying to change the temperature and it will not respond. It never changes the temperature to what I want it changes it right back to where it was before. So my heat is constantly running or my AC is constantly running even when I switch to off completely it just goes right back to what it was before. Wasting energy and my money.

This app worked great for 5 years. Now between the app and thermostat it's driving me crazy. I schedule my temps and the app resets itself to 59 degrees and the times change. I've Uninstaller send reinstalled but it's still haywire. The worst part is even without the app my thermostat resets to 59 degrees. Driving me crazy!

It would be nice if the settings you set actually worked. I can turn it off from my mobile app then go upstairs in an hour and the unit is still on. Since the app hasn't been updated since 2017! I guess it's to be expected.

I use this app for 8 years and recently I experience a trouble to set up the temperatures or change any settings because the app doesn't want to memorize them and going back to previous setup. It is very annoying and I have no explanation why they don't make an update are down date to previous version?!!!

Horrible Always off by a few degrees, in summer it says its cooler than what it is and during the winter its the opposite. It always changes my Temps I put in ,and goes with what is suggested unless I opt out at the time it decides to do that.

The absolute worst. Get this from NV Energy if you want a thermostat with a mind of its own. It's not just the 'energy events' where they take over your thermostat. It literally does what it wants. The only time I can get it to actually hold a temp is when I set it for away.

It dosen't work, the ECO changes the temperature even if you have set the schedule for a certain temperature, 3 minutes later it changes to ECO making the AC or Heat turn off for most of the day, because it drops the temperature or makes it higher and the thermostat is not even accurate making it have the same issue of turning off when you most need it.

Works OK. Great to be able to control temp w my phone but I HATE the stupid Eco savings constantly jacking up my scheduled temp of 77/78 up to 80-82. I signed up knowing that NV Energy had the ability to raise the temp 3° to avoid stress on their system. So far only had that happen once. But I'm fighting Eco mode several times during the day when it becomes noticeably hot. It supposedly learns your preferences but thats bs-my preferences are what I have it scheduled for, not 5° higher

Time to update. Thermastat never has the correct outside temp. It hardly comunicates with the app... For example, I want to shut off the air and it doesn't shut off, i have to physically go to the thermastat and turn it off. I will be buying a new thermastat.

Changes temp, to an eco friendly temp, and still runs its energy savings during the day that you have to participate in, so no matter what it's not what you set. The app lacks ease of use (dumb navigation) and right now, (for 2 days) it is saying servers down.

I also am experiencing the same issue that many other users on here have complained about about the temperature changing without me commanding it to change. Its winter time and it struggles to go higher than 2 degrees before returning to default settings. I had NV Energy look at my system and the technician was quick to say it's not us it's your heater. However my original thermostat worked perfectly fine before they installed their thermostat. I wish NV Energy would take accountability.

Very glitchy. It doesn't save settings. It will not turn off when needed or turn on when needed. Have to manually work the thermostat.

Rarely stays connected. Will log in, adjust temp and have to do it all again because it won't save. Same thing with schedules. Constant update errors. I finally just gave up after two weeks of messing with it.

This app is broken. It can't do a simple thing like Remer the settings in the schedule. I set up a schedule and when I go back in it the schedule is different. As a result my AC and heating comes on when I don't want it and does not come on when I want it. I don’t know why this app exists in its sorry broken state.

It works...but does change the schedule on its own sometimes according to what the weather is outside instead of inside temp. It would be really nice if it worked with Google Home. I may consider getting something else that works with Google Home.

Arbitrarily changes thermostat to what it wants regardless of what you set / schedule for last 6 months now - most recently tested about a week ago. Happy to give 5 Stars if they remind me once it's fixed permanently. Nice app layout.

Thermostat randomly turns on after turning the system completely off. You have to restart the app and reset the temperature about 5 times before it recognizes that you changed the temperature. App is borderline useless.

The app stopped working and is now stuck at menu. Uninstalled, restarted phone, reinstalled and still have the problem. Called customer service and they were not aware of issues. Told me to delete app and reinstall. No dice.

It was great for years. What is happening! Super over heating my house. Not adjusting to the schedule I set. It's horrible and waking me up at night

The app sometimes keeps turning on by itself after being turned off, and then it turns off by itself after it was turned on multiple time! Also Schedules don't save the changes!
