This app needs notifications sorting. Unless I check several times a day, I don't know if anything has been sent from school or not.
No notifications on Huawei p20 pro, there's no way to push the notifications either so I had a bunch of messages from the school and no idea I had them.
Installed this today. Seems ok so far for getting general news. I've not had any individual messages so can't comment on that. I can't give it more stars though as whenver I click on a photo to open it fullscreen the screen just goes black. Pretty useless if I want to stand any chance of seeing if my daughter is featured in any. If I go on the school's website I can view them fine.
Just does not work, its at a pre test level of functionality at best. Most links to information just result in a blank white screen and messages from school are never delivered. As a means of communication. Between school and parents it is effectively useless. When emailed the app provider replies that they know of the problem and are working on it. The app has been this way for well over a week, looking like since Jan 15th. Uninstalling because the app does not provide any feature of use.
Very disappointed in this app. Dont get any notifications from the app anymore. My notifications are switched on. Since this is the only way the school gets in contact with parents on what is needed / going on in school. It's not very helpful.
The app runs smoothly enough but even with notifications turned on it doesn't notify me if there is a message from the school unless I actually open the app,which isnt very helpful when I only really open the app if I need to remind myself of upcoming diary events and then I notice time sensitive messages from the school that needed my attention
Like many on here - maybe it's only the moaners who write reviews - I never get notifications of messages from school on my phone. The first I get to learn of them is when my wife happens to mention that she's had loads of messages from school [that'll be 3 then, but still 3 more than me]. I've missed booking onto at least one event [a parent's evening] so far. I'd say that's a pretty mission critical failure. Fortunately I was able to be squeezed into a no-show slot on the night.
Not getting the notifications unless I go into the app. Finding messages that was sent days ago. Waste of time, I wish the school would go back to normal text messages. Also have to remember a pin code every time I want to read a message.
Have uninstalled and reinstalled many times, have emailed the help and was told to clear cache and that they couldn't give me any more specific help? App wont work at all. Very frustrating as a parent we rely on the app to work.
Look once set up the app is very good but i think the recent changes are more change for change sake. For example where is the edit menu for messages gone? Parents rely on this app your changes have to be well thought out
Notification turned on still don't get any messages. Absolutely useless have to set an alarm to make sure it's checked everyday so we don't miss anything 🤦♀️
Notification do not arrive. Missed out on ordering Christmas meal because the school insist on using this app. No choice but to use it and it is a massive let down.
Used to be great, since the update it does not work at all. It loads to 40% and doesn't get any further! Uninstall twice and reinstalled and still the same.
I suspect the developers are cutting corners on server resources, the app is always slow and sometimes messages don't open at all.
Used to be amazing before the recent update. Now it is not clear where I can (if it's even available anymore) sign up to specific notifications sent by the school.
I'm sure this app would be brilliant if it worked on my phone! I can get the calendar etc however the school years screen is blank?? Does it work on Android? It's a pointless app for me without notifications :(
A simple and informative way to keep up to date with news and views from school. Very helpful for working parents note key dates and events in the school calendar along with details of personnel and policy.
Been 'downloading' now for 6 hours, still not downloaded. Update: just suddenly loaded and now running really well. Just needed s lot of patience to get going
Great for school to message but don't always get notifications even though app updated. Missed quite a few messages I needed to see due to this.
Loved the app at the start but then tried to open it this morning and ive to put my number in again and wait for another access code so that is a big let down therefore im just gonna delete the app cant be bothered with that hassle all the time
Doesnt work anymore and unfortunately it's the main channel that school uses for contacting, updating parents. Shame.
I am not getting notifications for messages received. Other than that it's a good app for getting information from the school.
No notification when receiving a message. Having to remember to go into the app which at the moment is not helpful.
struggling with the messages app I get notifications but then the app won't open the new messages, very frustrating
I have been having problems updating this app as its stuck on 40% loading for months and it will not allow reinstalling.
Was great but now wont work I have uninstalled and re-installed and frozen on 40% updated and can not do anything else even after re-installed still same frozen page?
Can we put what is on the menu on the days of the calendar so we don't have to keep downloading it every time we need to look that for the kids lunch that day
Just shows me the calendar. It never takes me to the home learning page.
Just downloaded it and first impression is that it's simple and helpful.
This app is very temperamental, it is hit and miss when it notifies me. Then 50/50 if I can get into the message to read it. My children have missed out on clubs that I knew nothing about as I could not read a message for 3 days. There is no back up option, such as a website for me to check unread messages, so completely relies on the parent/carer having a smart phone. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app several times, but alas it is still shockingly flawed. I would advise any school staff to avoid this app.
