Thimbleweed Park

Welcome to Thimbleweed Park. Population: 80 nutcases.

A haunted hotel, an abandoned circus, a burnt-out pillow factory, a dead body pixelating under the bridge, toilets that run on vacuum tubes... you’ve never visited a place like this before.

Five people with nothing in common have been drawn to this rundown, forgotten town. They don’t know it yet, but they are all deeply connected. And they’re being watched.

...Who is Agent Ray really working for and will she get what they want?
...What does Junior Agent Reyes know about a 20 year old factory fire that he’s not saying?
...Will the ghost, Franklin, get to speak to his daughter again?
...Will Ransome the *Beeping* Clown ever become a decent human being?
...Will aspiring game developer Delores abandon her dreams and stick by her family?
...And most importantly: how come no one cares about that dead body?

By the end of a long, strange night in Thimbleweed Park, all of this will be answered -- and you’ll question everything you thought you knew.

In a town like Thimbleweed Park, a dead body is the least of your problems.

This is a superbe addition to the adventure game genre. The plot is fun. The characters are well fleshed out. The gameplay is challenging in hard mode, but the use of the tip line is a great solution, allowing the player to more or less overcome difficult problems. Not a single bug in over 15 hours of gameplay. Thank you to the whole team that put this gem together.

An amazing retro pixel adventure game! The production is top-notch: graphics look exactly as they should, the animations are clean, the backgrounds are beautiful. Voice acting is phenomenal, music is atmospheric and appropriate. The in-game hint system is a little clunky so I had to use an external guide a few times. All of the throwbacks, easter eggs, 4th-wall-breaks and fan-service were much appreciated by this old-school gamer gal!

This is the first time I've ever rated a game 5 stars. The controls and actions did take some time getting used to. But once I got it down I was hooked. Game developer plz plz make more games exactly like this. The story is amazing. The clown is extremely funny. My only complaint would be when the dialog repeats it's hard to skip. Huge open world. Can play different characters. No adds. I love the phone book and phone. Brilliant game.

Worth ever cent. Very clever writing and plot line - had me smiling from start to finish. Challenging enough to keep me engaged but never frustratingly impossible to solve the puzzles. The art was amazing and I loved the voice acting. I can tell a lot of time and effort went into this game, and it was definitely worth it. Not gonna spoil the ending but it was such a clever concept, loved this game!

What a fantastic game! Definitely one of my favorites for mobile. Will you have to check out walkthroughs? Likely. Will you have to use them often? No. The gameplay has nice flow to it, and solving the puzzles is fun. The graphics are AMAZING, astounding pixel art. The story gets off to a slow start, but quickly ramps up to throw you into a... I'm not spoiling the plot. It's good. Like, GOOD good.

Great game, well worth the price! I enjoyed all of it on the hard version. So-called puzzles were really not puzzles, just part of the game play. You do have to think outside the box which is what makes it all so much fun. My only dismay (along with the crude clown) was realizing at the end of the Android version that there were no achievements. I could've saved a few hours of play time but that's on me for not reading the fine print. Hope they create another similar game!

Great-areno! The retro graphics, the game mechanics, and the inside jokes and references to point and click adventure games of the late 80's/early 90's all combine to create a pleasant nostalgic gaming experience. The puzzles get more challenging and complex as the game progresses and the hint system is well-designed so you can choose how much is revealed. I would definitely play a sequel or another game by Terrible Toybox, Inc.

Phenomenal! Easily takes its place alongside the greats of the genre like monkey Island and even surpasses them in terms of mechanics (playing as five people at once). Great characters (every last one, especially the sheriff-a-reno), good puzzles (although some were a little hard in the middle, like a key that's tiny and doesn't stand out). The ending was a little more emotional than is usual for games like this, which was an interesting change.

Great game, took me roughly 18 hours to finish. I only used it twice, but the hint system in the game is actually fantastic - it gets you off a wrong trail before it starts telling you where to look. I'm so glad someone still makes these old-fashioned point-and-click adventures! It also stayed true to the genre and would have worked the same in MS DOS (no in-game buys etc.).

One of the best games I have played on the phone! Amazing storyline and game play. Very reminiscent of King's Quest and other Sierra and DreamCatcher games that find humor in darkness along with breaking the 4th wall. I sincerely hope that I get to see more games from this company. Had this been out on PlayStation, I would've had no qualms paying $60 for it! And it is a long game to boot! I am about to replay it, but I want to say it took me about a week to beat.

Humorous and reminiscent of classic point and click adventure. Dialogue and storylines are clever and figuring out what to do is fun without being super easy. The built in hint system is helpful for when you're stuck. I love how you get to play as the characters in flashbacks too. The characters are so original (love Ransome!) and keep you wanting more. It is a long game with lots to do!

this game was rly cool. as someone who LOVES escape room games, this game itched a similar spot. it took me around a week to complete & i def had to use the hint feature a boatload of times, but that's bc u have to utilize EVERY explorable area multiple times throughout the course of the game, which is super cool, just not something i was good at w my inattentive adhd. i still had fun along the way. the ending wasnt my favorite, i do have to say, it felt unfulfilled. the journey was worth it tho

This is a nice change from the typical non challenging games. It's mystery adventure and rpg all rolled in one. The only thing I don't like is about 1/4 way through you change characters young girl just out of the blue so I would have liked to have gone back to remembered where I was cuz that's like a whole separate story character but it's still very challenging and fun and it's definitely not game that you complete quickly. It's old school format like early versions of King's Quest, etc!

It's an amazing game, but if you're not good at click point games or like a quick game this isn't the one for you. It takes loads of time to even get through the regular version and if you plan on doing the hard one plan on spending double if not triple the time playing. I liked having hints because I'm not too great at these games but I can still appreciate the time and effort it took to make. Thank you guys for a wonderful experience.

one of the best games i've played. the dialogue is by far the best feature to the game, i laughed out loud many times at what the characters replied or at the little details here and there, although if i were to be honest they really needed to implement the option to skip the lines when you had to repeat the same dialogie over and over again as it would be frustrating. GREAT story, lovable characters, a fully worthy 10/10 experience for me!

This game was amazing! I love adventure games but am usually not smart or patient enough to figure out the puzzles on my own, but not this game. I got (almost) all of them by myself on hard mode! It never made me feel frustrated and the puzzles were very satisfying to solve. The graphics are super cute and the detail is just perfect. 10/10 humor. If you like adventure games, particularly with a spooky vibe, give this one a try it won't disappoint!

I cant really say much about this game except that its one of the best ones that ive played before. For my first puzzle/point and click game, I found the challenges fun and challenging which thankfully came with the option to get hints, but in a creative way. The story is really good with something new always hitting you in the face, and those big things always come at a good rate. The only problem is that I didnt actually get a joke every 2 minutes. Even with that, 5/5 stars. Creative and fun

Put off by the price? I get it, I was too. But you get what you pay for. This is truly one of the highest quality mobile games out there. I like how there are two different difficulty modes and the ability to call for help when you're stuck. Awesome retro graphics, nice soundtrack, and a unique setting and vibe overall. Would highly recommend.

Delicious, perfectly classic point-and-click adventure game, complete with verbs (but thankfully lacking in any unwinnable states). If you miss Monkey Island, Sam & Max, et al, this is what you're looking for.

Incredible game, with a lot of great humour about text adventures in general. The puzzles were smart and quirky how they normally are in a text adventure, and there's a lot of them to solve. The characters feel really nice, and you do get to care about each of them. Please, support the devs on this wonderful passion project, it's totally worth it.

Amazing game! I got this with play pass but I would have paid for it, it's so good! I love point and click adventure games and this really ticks all the boxes. Tip, play hard mode! I played casual first and it misses out a load of the puzzles. As soon as I was finished I started hard mode, which gave me over 2hrs of extra play time (6 and a bit for casual, almost 9hrs for hard mode). 10/10, really fantastic game. I want more!

An Instant Favorite. Great story line and easy to learn navigation. This is by far the best game I've ever played on my phone. This is an actual video game. So glad I didn't have to pop one single bubble or merge anything.

Sha. C. Apr 23, 2022

It's a good game, follows much of the classic play styles of the 90's, you'll want to note down some of the ingame phone book numbers but 4468 will be the most used, I would suggest you start with Casual mode to get the lay of the land and then play the Full Puzzles mode on the 2nd playthrough. Have Fun Agents.

Really good game. The humor and dialog are the true winners here. Even when you're stuck and frustrated, the interactions themselves will keep you entertained. However, I almost gave it 4 stars because some of the tasks were unintuitive, hard to guess, or even downright ridiculous. Luckily, there's a very logical in-built hint system that will get you out if your stuck. In the end, the game was so much fun, and funny, that it deserves 5 stars.

It rocks. I play this every few months and leave it installed for that purpose. I remember the Lucas Arts games first time round and this is a perfect homage; not surprising as it is from the same fabulous dingbat behind Monkey Island. Check out "The Cave" too - slightly different interface, same mindset and hours of not so innocent fun. Too expensive? Get over yourself - worth it at twice the price. Were the 1980s really like this? Worse actually from memory.
