Does what it needs to, would be nice to have biometric login based on phone's capability (my old phone worked with fingerprint scanner, but my new phone only has facial recognition which does not work with the app). Would also be nice to view transaction history beyond 6 months.
The app is user friendly but the mobile check deposit leaves a lot to be desired. I wasn't able to cash a check that was from Third Federal as it said it could not read the date. I have a Samsung Galaxy S10+ and used a dark background but alas I went up to the bank and cashed it there instead.
Great until 5/5/2020 and now requires android 7 or above so it crashed the older phone I have when it updated and now no longer works. Whatever genious that just did the update on 5/5 2020 just made this useless for many devices and it was already installed on my G5 and when it tried to update it crashed my phone, totally no phone for 24 hours and then had to factory reset. It was nice while it lasted, SO BUMMED they broke it when trying to improve it. Totally messed up my phone. Please restore functionallity to older phones, what improvement did it need to require a highler software level to support?
Terrible system. I scan the checks and the next day I get emails saying "rejected" no endorsement when ther is an endorsement. Re-scan the check and there is %50 chance it will be approved. I only use the mobile app because my closest branch does not have a drive through. Brand new building built without a drive through! Seriously?
Clunky, ok if you want to check your balance but not worth taking up space on your phone otherwise. Mobile deposits always take multiple times and sometimes I'll get an email a day later that the deposit didn't go through.
When updating it kills your fingerprint access so you have to remember your login and accept a call to verify so you can use it again. Text option not available. Other than that seems good.
Has basic functions. One which would be great to have is timed/scheduled transfers versus 'just' instant ones.
when depositing a check your app is automatically takes the picture, had to repeat the process 4 times because the app takes a poorly focused picture, inaccuratly identify/reads the check amount and makes it immpossible to take a clear picture of the check.
Slow as molasses, and taking pictures of the front and back of checks is way too slow and finicky. Huntington Bank's similar app works much more smoothly.
Below average re: other apps. Very behind the curve! Horrible electronic deposit app. They are far behind other banking apps. I use multiple apps. 3rd Fed is still in the IT dark ages! Go elsewhere.
once Third Federal upgraded to mobile phone deposits. Everything is smooth sailing. Love the convenience of the flexibility & I enjoy the product.
It logged me out three times before it would deposit a check. Glad I only have a 30 character complex password that I have to re-enter everytime!! :(
I've been banking with Third Federal Savings for over 40 years. I've also been using their app since it was developed and have never had a problem.
I think is an easy to use online banking app. One suggestion: under transfers to a HELOC (i.e., making a HELOC payment) I'd like to see an 'Additional Amount to Principal' field.
2/8/2021 Update: App still doesn't accept login and doesn't provide a useful message about why. We're in a pandemic so it's quality service to not allow mobile deposits.
I don't know maybe a bug or something in the app needs to be fixed but it took me almost 12 tries to deposit a check on the app before it finally let it go through And I had all the correct information
What happened to fingerprint login? Worked fine for a while now seems to have been disabled?
Its easy to use but I hate that when you are doing a mobile deposit it talks to you. Its so annoying but overall the app is great
Always have excellent service. Best saving & loan. Been with them for more than 30 yrs.
Mostly easy. Tough to get all the angles proper for pictures.
This app has everything that I need to manage my Third Federal account. It loads quickly and is very easy to use.
I have other banks apps that are much better. The mobile deposit hardly ever works and the app is clunky and slow.
Very clunky. Unable to view statement from the app is a big limitation that seems to be a must have for a banking app
First time user, love it. Makes life simpler. However, it requires multiple attempts for check to be accepted.
Initial picture was fisheye view. Had to take several pictures and delete. Finally worked.
Check deposit feature needs work, doesn't always work. Not an issue using other bank apps. And the limit is too restricting, would be helpful if we could do all check deposits online to this bank. End up needing to go to the bank which is very inconvenient since we live far from any branches. Otherwise the app is good. 7/9/20 update So happy the limit was raised for check deposit! If the check deposit feature were fixed so it would take the deposit quickly and on the 1st try, app would be great!
