In This War Of Mine you do not play as an elite soldier, rather a group of civilians trying to survive in a besieged city; struggling with lack of food, medicine and constant danger from snipers and hostile scavengers. The game provides an experience of war seen from an entirely new angle.
The pace of This War of Mine is imposed by the day and night cycle. During the day snipers outside stop you from leaving your refuge, so you need to focus on maintaining your hideout: crafting, trading and taking care of your survivors. At night, take one of your civilians on a mission to scavenge through a set of unique locations for items that will help you stay alive.
Make life-and-death decisions driven by your conscience. Try to protect everybody from your shelter or sacrifice some of them for longer-term survival. During war, there are no good or bad decisions; there is only survival. The sooner you realize that, the better.

Edit 5/22: Game crashes when entering certain dangerous zones where one has to engage in combat. Lost 2 stars from me because its so frustrating. Please fix this so many people can keep playing. this is one of the best games I've played.. Granted, it has a learning curve and a few tries before you figure it out but it really portrays the hardship of war, the battle between morality and desperation and the struggled to stay human. Amazing game really.
I should start by saying that this is a fantastic game and I love playing it. For whatever reason though it crashes regularly on Android; it will abruptly reset to the intro and title. These crashes seem to most happen during scavenging or when finishing scavenging. It's a bit frustrating with how frequently it occurs.
This app is fantastic! I love the different scenarios, I love how the set up, the graphics, the storylines of each character. It truly is a thorough and well thought out approach to a game like this. I do wish we could send more than one person to scavenge but really that is my only complaint. I even downloaded the Stories version of this game, SUPERB! It'd be cool if there were a survival/story mode feature, perhaps a little longer than the father/daughter story?
Can be a fun experience if you can progress through the game. Far too often it feels like Groundhogs' day reliving the same day over and over because the game crashes so often. Some areas in particular can't even be looted because of crashing issues. Overall game play is enjoyable but technical issues make it frustrating.
generally a good game. fun to play, easy way to pass the time. however, a lot of the times i engage in combat, the game restarts. i've also seen some animation errors when making a character talk to another. otherwise, i've enjoyed my experience with this game.
In my case it crashes every time I press survive making it basically unplayable. Although it worked with random APKs downloaded from the interned from dubious sources, but not this official one. I took a logcat of the error message and I basically narrowed it down to InputDispatcher: channel '86687bd com.elevenbitstudios.twommobile/com.android.Game11Bits.GoogleMainActivity (server)' ~ Consumer closed input channel or an error occurred. events=0x9 If a developer sees this, maybe can you check that events=0x9 error? I did a quick search and it seems it has something to do with the unity 3d engine. Maybe there are some developer settings we can try to play with for it to work?
Literally crashing mess more than half the time it crashes half way through a level ESPECIALLY in combat and or on the military level. In addition to the game being a repetitive bore with the mechanics at times and a multitude of other things this game falls short of being what it could be and has since release on steam
Running on a pixel 4a 5g but the game does not load. It asks for permission to access the storage but then message about app not responding appears. If you ignore this message, the app then just hangs on a black screen. It's a shame as I have played this game before and it's brilliant. Please fix Update 17/04/2022 Seems the issues have been fixed, game now runs perfectly. Changing to 5 stars
Excellent. Good aesthetic, challenging gameplay, captivating stories. Different senarios keep the gameplay from becoming too forumulaic. I keep playing again and again over the years. Would love to see a new version in the future.
I didn't know what to expect starting off. And honestly, it didn't click until my character had to kill someone else in order to survive and return home. My character was inconsolable, other characters had to feed him, comfort him. Then the little things clicked in. There is no reset. Bad decisions cost greatly. Poor planning cost even more. Remember that peace is an anomaly, war is the way of the world in more than a few places. Prepare accordingly.
I finaly bought the game on phone after enjoying it for many years on pc. Sadly, the game is literally unplayable. I tried getting through the same scavenging night 6 times, but it kept crashing.
I used to love the game with a passion, playing it everyday but when I had to get a new phone and tried re-downloading it, it doesn't work anymore..it just gets to loading a new game gets to the loading screen and throws me out of the game or sometimes back to the start screen it makes me sad and I wanna be able to play it again
I recently picked up playing this game again which I had originally rated 5-stars but it's unplayable now with the frequent crashes and wipes out all of a day's progress. Please fix the bug and I hope there is a sequel to this terrific game.
Awesome game, but there is a bug fix needed where the game restarts when exiting the garage. Only experienced it happening with Boris. Hopes of a quick fix and thanks for an enjoyable experience. (Galaxy Z fold 3)
From my friend, he said that this game is good to play. But the game restarting everytime I want to play the game. I did send a email talking about it and next following days an update was released and nothing changed. Please fix this bug.
The game keeps restarting . Its frustrating because you need to do everything again in that specific day. The worst part is when i was already finished scavenging that is the exact moment that the game would restart. Pls fix this really liked the game. I have also bought this game on steam
The game is really good but there is an anoying bug where the game crashes after scavenging... it's really annoying because sometimes you are like 5-10 minutes organising the day and then another 5-10 minutes scavenging inthe night and in the end crashes and all goes to waste..fix it
I was really enjoying the game but now when I go to scavenge after I have collected nearly everything I want the game randomly restarts and I lose my progress from the whole day. If their support responds to my email and fixes the issue I will readjust my rating because the game seems to have a lot of promise. That being said I have access to the game through play pass and would be extremely disappointed if I paid for this game.
Love this game but it's really buggy. It will just randomly bug out when you're scavenging and restart the day after you've spent 5 minutes figuring out how to get the things you need and will have to start all over again. Pretty gutting when I spent money on this and the little ones 👎🏻
Excellent But Excellently Painful. I do feel bad for resenting the game for telling a story worth telling through it's game play, but I have one more time to get looted for all my food or having all these depressed characters take turns talking each other out of hurting themselves before I snap. An immersive experience that has more potential gameplay hours than you have antidepressants in your prescription, for better or for worse. Buy it.
I love this game, but... Its just too damn hard, i mean, you do everything right and good and still die or depression takes all of you. Mobile version is 3-4 times harder than PC. Sometimes its just impossible to survive 20 days.... Besides that, cannot say anything else bad .... Just love it
I can't even play the game, as soon as I start it up and the loading screen pops up it automatically crashes and sends me to my home screen. I Uninstalled and reinstalled to see if that would help but it didn't, not sure what the problem is
I love the game, I have it on Xbox and decided to get it on mobile for on the go. But I have a big problem I can't loot or clear anything in the base. I can move around and it registers that I'm tapping the button to loot but it doesn't do anything.
This was my favorite game until the new update and now halfway through a mission it kicks me out of the game and I have to start the day all over.... I'm not going to play until it's fixed....* Update* I've taken it from 3 stars to 1, because I have now repeated Day 36 seven times because of the glitch.... Really angry
Edit: it now work perfectly, this game earned it's fifth star ! Great game ! I love it. The story and character are well written, every run feels diffetents, graphics are good looking. The only issue is that it does not work anymore on my new phone (Oneplus 8 Pro, Android 10), and do not display anything (blackscreen is all I got).
