Exceptional but.. The game is wonderful for my 4 year old. Bought him the entire game as its his favorite. The only downside that gets him frustrated is that occasionally it freezes up and has to be restarted. This happens in both the free and paid for version. It mostly happens in placin things back to where they belong. Thats the only bug that gets me. But otherwise a wonderful game for young ones
I don't care what the others say about this update (no offence, detractors, I respect your opinions), it is actually a fun experience and I loved hearing Reboot Thomas narrating this game. Although, his voice does sound pretty deep, but I'm used to it now.
This is a fantastic game if it had ads instead of purchases and if budge isn't on the top right corner of the screen constantly so I think that takes away 2 stars.
Recently, there has been an update/event for this game, and lets just say, it's decent enough. Yes it's for the reboot yes, but at least it's not as horrible as other updates and events on other games.
Where's edward, henry, toby, duck? Im pretty sure those are engines from the show. Kind of pissed my favorite engines aren't even in the game, even though they are engines from the show. This doesn't even feel like a Thomas game just some trash budge game.
Was really nice but they've changed the design too far! Is there anyway to revert back to the old graphics and voice?
I purchased this app in 2018 for $19.99 because my son loves the way how the trains look. The new upgrade made him cry..my son doesn't like it at all!
Horrendous over-pricing for the extras and most appalling is that every second you are playing there is a 'fun' character top right of the screen continually waving adverts at your child. It never stops. Dreadful. I understand the need to make money from what is a free game but Budge studios' commercial plan is clearly morally bankrupt and I will avoid them ongoing.
I heard about how the other users are feeling about the new update, even I'm not happy with it. You NEED to revert it to the original, the All Engines Go series has been hated everywhere, so PLEASE read it very very carefully or I will not be happy and I will have to make my own version of the game Edit: i do not care if there are other games just please bring back the old style of the game
Wth are you doing worst voice over,no piston and you making an animated train I don't mind if you want to add more train but please return things back to normal😡😭
It is a fairly good app however I completely disagree with the pay to play model. Most kids do not understand this and just want to be able to use different trains or packs. Would be good if completing challenges rewarded with the unlocking of new packs. Also my son loves the night time option which is available on the app if playing on a phone but not on a tablet (which he uses predominantly). It is the same app so not sure why some parts are not the same, no matter the device you are playing. Such a shame it all apps have to be about ads or pay to play. Shouldn't be like this on children's apps.
Ok, so game play is actually cool, good graphics and the UI is not bad. BUT.. the major let down is your pay to play philosophy. With the amount of ads you pummel us with, surely you could allow a few more packs for free. But nope, pass the first level and that's it. Game over unless you want to spend copius amounts of money on this. I will be avoiding any further games from this developer. They are all the same. Riddled with ads, pay to play rule.. if I could give you less than 1 star..
They have ruined Thomas. Revert back to the old version. My LO was confused . Looks so babyish
There are certain instances where tap / drag stops working on object which need to be moved or positioned, for example there is this one situation where there are passengers that need to be placed onto a train which is placed behind the passengers and the passengers which need to be moved cannot be moved. There are three or for of these situations. I have tried to uninstalling and reinstalling several times. This issue is happening on the Samsung Gakaxy Tab A7.
I love this game but just before I wrote this my engine(thomas) got stuck on the turntable near the sheds and I can't move forward or backwards. I tried everything from opening the menu to quitting the game but nothing is working. My only option would be to reset the whole game but I have not tried that , BUT I WILL DO THAT UNLESS AND UNLESS ITS MY ONLY OPTION.
My kidslike it alot, however it seems like even without buying everything it's not very worth their time. In my opinion it needs either more mini-games, or a different map. And I have had trouble with lower end devices crashing when they did the tunnel mini-game.
Downloaded this game for my 2 year old who absolutely loves it, so I bought ALL the trains n such and LITERALLY within hours of buying them the game started to freeze every single time my son would play. I just noticed that the last update was in June of 2018 and there are MANY complaints of the game freezing. I'm going to fight for a refund as this is unacceptable. $20 down the drain.
It is fun to roam around (It reminds me of railway adventures) But, you have to play the games, even if you do not want too and the game is littered with micro-transactions, to play about 95% of the game, you have to buy EVERYTHING with REAL MONEY! Even though they are about £2.50.
Constant ads and extremely difficult for little ones to play, with them popping up all the time. I had planned on paying to make it ad free, but there doesn't seem to be that option. A complete waste of time, unfortunately.
The game itself is great my son loves it but it crashes CONSTANTLY. It is ridiculously annoying. Please fix this. I just spent money for all the toys and it is difficult to enjoy them with the app crashing all the time. Thanks.
Constantly crashes on Amazon Fire Tablet . Happens especially when you have to drag the correct passengers onto the train or fixing a bridge. Have to switch the tablet off each time. Other than that it would be a great game for kids
Edit (Apr 8, 2022) Yeah, I don't like the Feb 17 update. The original was far better and less childlike looking. Not to mention, the constant ads in the top corner of the screen always bothering gameplay, are you seriously THAT bankrupt? I spent $20 for this game, and ONE update ruined it. Thanks a lot. >:(
It would be absolutly amazing if you didnt have to pay for every single engine EXCEPT THOMAS.Im nine and my parents wont let me get one single engine so can you change having to pay for more engines to a certain challenge that has to be completed.Heres how it goes?First you have to pick a mediumly hard to complete challenge or add a new challenge on.Then you set up that challenge and take of the pay for more engines Icon and replace it with the challenge and make sure you can pick your prize.
