Awful app- The app is forever crashing when I try to access it, I have uninstalled and reinstalled countless times to see if it helps. Having to constantly reset passwords, username ect- for it then to tell me it's still wrong. Very difficult to access money. I have some left I want to withdraw and get rid of this card for good. I recommend getting a monzo and using that as your holiday money card. Far easier!
Don't get a TUI travel card. Topping them up is impossible. My bank required authorisation via banking app which I've done for years (completely issue-free), and the tui app doesn't seem to be able to get the authorisation from the app once I've done it. Just says "the top up has failed" with no explanation why. About as much use as a chocolate teapot.
Can see balances and top up sure but dear me it's half finished. So much needs to be completed on it it's actually quite scary! Update: used the card 4 times before it started being declined and basically attempting to top up on the app didn't work AT ALL ending in the bank contacting me to ask if the attempted activity was legitimate. Do not use whatsoever. Get a different travel card.
Can not register my card. Tried calling customer service been cut off twice and waited ages 😡😡
This is utterly dire, the letter they provide in store gives a web address to activate the card and when you click on it, there's no option to activate the card! Now when I use the app, I cannot log in, nor check my balance. I wish I'd used another company, and I'm pretty good on computers, not a technophobe but this is trash. Update: I phoned customer services who gave me a web address to activate my account which CANNOT BE FOUND either on the paper work provided in store, or the site!
Was working fine whilst on holiday.Then the app stops working and my card suddenly starts getting declined.(with €600 nearly on it). So can't access my money and guess what nobody at customer care answer the phone. So don't bother with it because if you put all your money on it,it could ruin your holiday with no funds available. Total rubbish Would have given zero stars if it had been possible.
Absolutely terrible. Great concept but exceptionally bad in practice. Loaded card with Croatian Kuna in the UK before i left and all worked fine and I could see balance and transaction details. When i arrived in Croatia it worked as normal for the first day, from that point on, it crashed everytime. Completely useless. Fyi....im using a samsung note 9 device.
account setup is archaic and does not work. every year we have the same problems checking our balance either with app or website. will now switch to another provider. the star rating for the app hasn't improved over last 4 years, showing that tui have no interest in improving this aspect of their business. requesting reminder emails of usernames and passwords never arrive.
I never lost a thousand pounds so quickly. My phone and my Tui card was stolen. No way to cancel my card on the website... no way to cancel my card through the app cos my phone was gone. I was however allowed to watch the theif make contactless payments in real time. 20 in total. Of course i could have called them to cancel... but my phone was stolen, and on top of that they charge a £6 premium before international calling! Thanks Tui 👍
Go through all the hassle of setting the account up and it just says 'unable to complete request' at the end - the Wi-Fi is working here and my data is also on - This app is literal trash! Don't bother and just use cash is my recommendation. I'd give it no stars if that was possible.
Awful app which doesn't work after the first few transactions. I tried to top up and received an email confirmation from TUI customer services of the successful transaction, only for my account to show that the transaction had not been made. I called customer services and they told me that they cannot do anything
Really useful when on holiday (remember those!). Annoyingly for some reason it now crashes when I try to click on the detailed transactions. It did work, now it doesn't, no idea why. I'm currently using it for Croatian Kuna. Fortunately I can still see my balance and add money.
Rubbish. Downloaded it and couldn't even open the app. A message popped up saying my phone was too updated to run the app. How are you suppose to top up your credit when abroad when you can't even use the app!
If I could have given the app zero stars I would. Absolutely useless. We are rarely able to even load the app as we are constantly greeted by an error message. Even when we do manage to load the app up it fails to top up.
this app doesn't even deserve one star. i've tried numerous times to install the app and signin. Can't even get past the login. Then it drops the connection and says it's my internet connection to blame. Easier to use my browser to access the web pages. How hard is it to get something as simple as this to work? Obviously beyond these developers !!!!!
Absolutely dreadful app,so unreliable. Nightmare when you are on holidays and app crashes,can be down for days. You can't check card balance or top up cash. Sort it out !
The app worked for the first few transactions. It just disappears from the screen now when you try and get into transactions. Totally useless.
AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL Wont allow me top up my account at all, either via the app or via browser on their actual website. Left with no currency at all because I couldn't top up. Customer Services also told me to call back because he didnt know how to help me. Completely useless. Best advice is to AVOID at all costs and find yourself a better currency method elsewhere.
App worked fine on holiday so we're trying to use it for our next one. Original login details don't work and we can't reset them without being asked for a memorable date that doesn't work. Called customer services who sent us a link to reset that had the same problem. Called again and spoke to another advisor who passed our details on to another team and got shirty with us for getting frustrated.
This is the third time the app has stopped working. It is one of the most useful apps I have when it works properly. I will have to contact Travel Money again and get it re-set...A real pain.
Do not leave money on card and have it expire. It is impossible to get it transferred to new cards. Every time you phone up there is a different security requirement. Only easy way is a cheque refund. AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!
App continually crashes when requesting a transaction report. Uninstall and reinstall does not fix it. Get it sorted please!
Awful, can't login with details that are correct and then have to ring a number, be on hold how 30 minutes to be told to try the app again.
Cheers then. Awful app. Can't sign up to see how much money I have on my card while I'm away. Just going around in circles trying to create an account. Everytime I enter my details and click confirm it sends me back to the start. Waste of time
have a new card which I can no longer view on the app. i can't even log in although I have money, cant seem to take it as the cards expired. I also cannot create new account for my new card to keep check on the balance while on holidays. never have this issue with Thomas cook money cards.
Useless app You cant login, its impossible, i know my user name, password and dob are 100% correct but it still days youre wrong but i can login with difficulty through the website with the user name, password and dob, so sort this frustrating problem out.
Had the app from my last card which worked fine. Can't even login to update my new card details on my android phone. Uninstalled and tried again but still won't work. Other users have commented the same so not just me or my phone. Needs sorting!
Rubbish! Every time I've tried to create an account (several times now) and at the very end it said failed try again later well there isn't going to be a later! What's worse I have to click a star to post it and its not worthy of a star!
Perfect, until now. Is the app currently down, I'm unable to sign in.
