Thought - Local forum

Thought is a communication app that lets you share text and images with the people in the same place that you are in!
Through Google's Neaby API, we use Bluetooth and ultrasounds (yep, you read that right) to detect nearby devices and put you in touch with every user in a few dozen meters from you. The result is a forum-like bulletin board where people can discuss ideas and share content, even if they don't know each other.

- Publish posts for people to detect (everything you post will stay published for 5 minutes, unless you publish something else).
- Share images from the Internet.
- Customize the feeling indicator to fit your mood.
- Choose a long-term status associated with your username.
- Choose a username or post anonymously.
- Hide other people's usernames.

A big future would be to detect people nearby, who has the app, and get a notification of it

Cool app, but a counter of nearby people is needed

I hope this app gets development. Ui is smooth but very minimal. It seems to be missing features and settings to make it functionally. I'm excited about these kinds of app that are on the way.

Would be an essential app if it worked offline. The nearby API in combination with WAN (using Wi-Fi) and short-range Bluetooth would make this the best app for offline chatrooms in places off the grid.

I think NASA has a better chance of finding aliens in the next 30 days than me finding someone near me
