Thrifty Car Rental

Can't even login to see my reservation. This app is horrendous. It has all sorts of adds but can't get the basics right, they need some UI help big-time and just plain old quality improvement.

This company is awful. The clerk sneaks in some additional loss damage waiver and premium road service fees that I didn't ask for. Within the hour, I notice and request these be removed. They said I would need to make a new reservation and not get the money back essentially meaning you can't cancel. NEVER rent from these people. Worst car rental and overall travel related company I've ever dealt with.

Rented a car in Orlando, the wait to get the car was over three hours and they were out of cars. They said I'd get a refund, but refused to give me a confirmation number or email me a confirmation for the refund, still haven't gotten the refund. Filled a claim with my credit card, which was also rejected because Thrify said they didn't have any proof that we were authorized for a refund. So we never got the rental car but still had to pay for it.

Everything Thrifty and IT seems to either be broken or stuck in the 1990s. Try signing up for their advantage program for more dysfunction. This app doesn't let you log in. Perhaps that's a future feature?

Worthless app, won't let me change to Australia, instead, defaults to Abu Dhabi, I want to rent a car in Australia. Not only that, but on the odd occasion that I do get it to let me select Australia, I go in and cars are available on the dates and times and at the location that I want, then go to book and it then tells me that no vehicles are available

App is useless unless you are going to the Middle East. How about the United States? Too much garbage on the screen also. Chat function takes up screen space. Deleting right away.

The app won't keep up the login screen to allow login. The app doesn't recognize my location and keeps defaulting to Middle East locations. These combine to deny any use of the app.

I try to log in and it takes me back to the home screen when I go to enter email address. Clicking on manage booking does nothing. App is about as worthless as your website.

App still displays wrong country. Been calling airport thirfty in Missouri since 8AM there time this morning to see if I could pick up car a little after closing or from another rental company because flight changes. It's been no answer all day. Google search indicates they opened at 7AM.

Less than worthless, and it is frustrating because I need the app to work. I can't login. Not only is the login page hard to get to, when I get to it and go to enter my username I am taken back to the main screen. Why is it seeing my location as Dubai? Phone call it is.......

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!!!! App does not work at all!!! It continually crashes, and does not allow any functionality in the app. Its useless.

Kind of incredible in 2021 that a company as major as this essentially doesn't have an app. I'm in USA and it forces me into a UAE app and basically doesn't work. Most interesting is that I believe Thrifty is the same company as Dollar who appears to have a functioning app and is a subsidiary of Hertz who also has a solid app. Get it together Thrifty!

Like the other reviews here, the login screen does not work and it's for the wrong region. Thrifty's website is inferior to the other car rental companies and no question about their app. Actually, there isn't really one.

Overblown advertisement with no value to customers who already have a booking and want to manage it online. Although it does "appear" to have a LOGIN but it is irrelevant as the program resets to the homescreen/advert no matter what is momentarily seen. I have to assume this is not a mistake as the corporation is wealthy enough to afford a better online & interactive presence.

Cannot log in. There's no excuse for this technical inability. The website is very particular as well, not chrome friendly. I had to use edge. Get it together thrifty. Scared for my actual rental experience.

Worthless App. Only shows locations in Dubai. Total garbage and waste of time. I'd give this negative stars if I could.

"Car for hire" (as in, is this NOT the US based Thrifty Rental Car Service's app)? Login page disappears before you can actually enter anything into login fields. Wondering if this is an Uber/Lyft type service in Dubai that's actually spoofed Thrifty's logo, lol. Trying to use this is like chasing a squirrel, lol ... it'll send you in circles all day long!

This app is useless and is only for the UAE apparently? Anytime I clicked anything it sent me back to the home page. Can't seem to find a thrifty app for my reservation in the US. Would give less than 1 star if I could.

App is useless. The chat function seems to be crashing the app if you try to login or check a reservation. What's the point of having it? Wow, just checked other reviews and this has been going on since late 2020. WOW

This feedback is for thrifty car rental service not for The app. I do not recomend to use This company for rental cars.Even with purchase of the insurance, if there is on road problem They will not provide assistance for its customers to get home and when put into this unsafe condition, make threatening calls to try manipulate customers into paying for services that are contracturally covered in The rental agreement. This negative feedback is for the manager/ adjuster(?) for Thrifty St, Louis.

I've concluded this app is just malware since it seems you can't do anything with it except drain your battery.

Can't login or get access to any location in the United States. Surprising that a company this large can't invest a little money into making a app like every other rental company has. It's obvious they don't care to improve

Nothing works. Really is disappointing. Over an hour in line at the airport is unacceptable....plus NOTHING on the app works. Thrifty you really need to step up your game.

Wrong region/completely useless app. I'm in the US and this app only has Abhu Dabi and other areas in that region. I checked the playstore and this is the only app. Makes no mention of the region. Waste of time. Useless for me.

There is some problem in the app. If I select the date it automatically refresh which makes unable to proceed. Old app was much better than this upgraded one.

It doesn't give you the option to pick a USA location. You can only pick international around dubai.

I would rate this app 0 stars if I could. Can't even login to my account to sync it up. One of the worst apps I've ever used, on any platform. It's a joke.

It's buggy. Won't let me log in. Won't let me use the chat. As soon as I try to enter text, it reverts to the previous screen.
