Through the Word

Wish this app would work on my phone I have a Motorola one 5G UW. I downloaded this app on my phone and then it says that it's not compatible to my phone. Please try and update this app so that it will be compatible to the newer versions of phones thank you

Love the app. Really helps me reading God's Word and not just devotions.

If you've wanted to dig into the Bible, but didn't know where to start or how to work through it, this is your answer. Each day's lesson is about 5 minutes, making it easy to add to your routine. The pastors are totally relatable. They sound like guys you'd want to hang out with and talk with. Each has deep insight into the Word, and the ability to share that insight quickly and clearly. I highly recommend TTW for any level of study, beginner to Bible scholar.

I'm glad they made the audio work for the Samsung Galaxy S6 Active! It's a cool app :) One question... Why doesn't "Today's Teaching" start your reading plan from the beginning of the plan? If someone is new to the app in the middle of the year, they have to start in the middle of the plan to keep up with the daily program. A better option would be to allow the user to start the plan from the beginning and have the daily program reflect the day THEY'RE on... Please give that option.

This app has truly been a blessing for me and my family. Never before have I had a Bible companion that I could hear a summary of the Word verse by verse. I first heard the audio through a devotion in the You Version of the Bible app. I fell in love with reading the word 1st for myself and then hearing a summary of what I had just read. I was thrilled when I found the app and saw they do that throughout the entire Bible. The update definitely worked out any kinks I had and it keeps your progress. Just an Awesome app!!

This really is an outstanding app to help you understand a specific chapter or read thru an entire book. The recorded lessons are short but excellent teachings by various Bible teachers. The app records your progress which is a great motivational tool if you want to use it to not just read "through the word" but reflect and apply each chapter to your own self. I wish it could sync my progress across devices. And I wish for more translations although Esv is great.

I love this app. It's one of the most used on my phone & I'm constantly amazed at the depth of teaching packed into 7 - 10 minutes. I tend to use my own reading plan and follow along in whatever book I'm in. Kris' teaching on Revelation was as good as any I've ever heard. Thank you to all of you. I have one problem that I haven't seen any other reviewer comment on. My app has grown to over a gigabyte and I don't even use it for notes. I've also done a lot of my reading through YouVersion so I haven't checked off that many books. I'm not sure why it is taking up so much space. Is there anything I can do about it without clearing data every time I finish a book?

This is one of my top recommended apps for students at the Bible college where I direct and teach. Its concise and applicable commentary is easy to relate to, and the commentators' personality and Biblical knowledge always shine through. The daily audio spurs listeners to become readers, and brings out points of interest and discussion that are fabulous for use in small groups, classrooms, or personal pondering. Thank you to the team who has worked so hard to develop the content, and keep the interface working on such a broad spectrum of devices. BLESS YOU!!

For anyone wanting to study God's Word, book by book and chapter by chapter, this app is essential. The teachings are broken down into manageable daily teachings. (Approximately 10 minutes in length) The teaching is concise and on point in accordance with His Truth. It is organized, pointed and efficient.

I love the app and have used it exclusively for my daily Bible reading. I do have one Major complaint though. I recently purchased a new phone and I lost ALL my progress, and journaling!!! Not that it is a bad thing to start over, but I was a good 70% through. I would love to see an account option so as to not lose what has already been done. Thank y'all and God bless this ministry!

I love this app for many reasons. I have only one issue with it, and that is...my plan seems to be scattered all over the Bible and the months, no matter which plan I choose. Without knowing any better, I actually began my study with Revelation. (To be fair, I did know what the end was before I even started. I don't want to be a spoiler...) I have a Samsung Galaxy S7. I have read in other reviews where it was suggested that the user delete the old app and install it again for all the updates. If I did this, would it delete all my progress? I repeat... I do love this app.

I love this app but now I am frustrated because I can't read any more. I don't know if it we an update or what, but for about a week every time I try to go into the read section I get this error: ERROR: The IP key is no longer supported. Please use your access key, the testing key 'TEST' Error cleaning text: TypeError: Cannot call method 'toString' of null! I would give it a 5 star if it was working properly! Please fix so I can get back to enjoying the app.

This is definitely one of my favorite apps of all time. Very sound and interesting insight and teaching and easily able to understand things in a simple yet profound way.. And has helped me grow in the Lord tremendously. ❤

I love the teaching and miss it when I'm reading through a book that's not on the app yet. I would love to be able to have the audio continue with the screen off or even be able to do other things on the phone while listening, but I'm sure that's hard to program into a free app. Did you know that when there is no intro it is impossible to get your check mark?? I listened to ALL of Nehemiah but no check mark. Seems like an easy fix...?

It's a bit weird. Lesson plans do not coincide with today's date. You have to scroll backwards in order to get to the lesson plans

I so want to give this app a 5 star because up until two weeks ago functionality was perfect. Now, there is only an error under Read. I use as a supplement in leading my small group and some of the younger attendees have grown so attached to technology the read function really gives them access to the Word when they would otherwise not pick up a book. Will the bugs in this area be fixed? The teachings are fabulous though and the entire concept such a blessing.

*UPDATE* After the recent update, this app is 110% easier to use, and I'm so grateful for that. It looks great and there's now no issue tapping on the study I want (even WITH my new, massive Note 4) Great work, TTW team!*** I love the work that is put into the studies the Through The Word produces. The app, however, could be a little better. For starters, everything is so tiny! I have a Galaxy S4 - not a small phone, but I have trouble reading and tapping the right studies, etc...

To God be the Glory. A great app. I'm still waiting for the New update. I still get the error when I try to follow along on the reading section.

*Update* I Uninstalled the and reinstalled the apps on both my Samsung galaxy 6 and my Note-S after the "fix" and they work! As others have said, a great deal of the Bible would be misunderstood for me if not for your ministry! Thank you and keep up the great work!

I love this app. However I'm not able to read the passages due to an error message over the past few weeks. And I can't save my journal entries for future review.

This app has been God inspired forsure. When Gods word becomes alive it changes one to the core. Just the way the word gets explained with the help of the Holy spirit. Life changing indeed

I do have one issue. my journal entries aren't being saved even after updating. And I'm just curious to know when the book of Job will be ready. I'm reading it now in my bible and would like to hear the audio guide.
