Thunkable Live

It is Awesome. The possibilities of creativity are endless. It is so easy to create apps with Thunkable.

The app is very had to use on tabs, the layout is horrendous and not recognizable at all. I had to download the app again for my sign in feature to work Ant it still doesn't work perfectly. As in for easy to us purposes, it's great! Wish yall can improve the app features though as I'm already very stressed out with this maham it has caused :(

The designers decided to overlay a panel that covers about 20% of the screen at the bottom for no good reason, which makes testing your app out live more difficult since your can't see what it actually looks like anymore. Thunkable staff... Make that overlay much smaller like it used to be.

There's this really weird and awful bug where it won't show the 6 digit code for the manual setup and the 'Sign up with Google' Button makes nothing happen. Nothing at all. This basically makes it impossible to test the app on an actual phone, but yeah back in those days when it did work, it worked well enough and did what I expected it to do. (Samsung Galaxy A10, Android 10)

This app. Anytime I generate the code it doesn't work I keep trying it doesn't still work it is very fustrating.

Running a live test is impossible. You hit "live test" on your computer and it just tells you to connect to the app a million times, even if you are. Then, if yoy manage to connect, it just shows a white screen. Even while doing the tutorials, adding widgets or functions, or even just changing the colour of the app background. Worst thing I've ever had to work with, and to anyone thinking of using this; don't.

Sometimes there's a delay between updating on PC and the phone app updating, however, that's probably just one of those network things. Usually it's less than 20 seconds so not really an issue. Overall, the app works very well. One problem I had was with database use, it just wouldn't seem to store data. I eventually fixed it by adding a small delay of 0.05 seconds. Overall, the app works well. I've written apps in MIT and looking forward to making my first iPhone app. Great work guys.

Live test is broken, you have to close and reopen the app to see each change. No control in the app, eg to switch accounts or choose a different app - the options display briefly then disappear immediately. No way to go back, and relaunching the app gets the same behaviour. A long way to go before this is stable, it should not have been released as is.

The 'easy to use' functionality is a straight up lie. The coding is incredibly hard to use and it is riddled with bugs. I have been here for 30 mins now just to try to make an image rotate. When I put -25 degrees it rotates forward. When I rotate it 60 degrees it doesn't change. The inconsistency makes me want to pull my hair out. Even python was easier to use. The only reason I am using this is for a school project. I wouldnt touch this app with a 200m pole. 2/10 just use scratch instead.

Actually this app is pretty good and my apps can be tested very effectively; but the only problem is that it's too buggy or sometimes lags a lot. I think that if these issues are fixed then this app would surely be the undisputed leader. Also what is the problem with the "Critical Error" message as whenever I open my app it shows that message and I need to quit the app or relaunch it (and both do not work)! Tried many times, the first time the app worked, then always got white screen. The buttons in the app do not responde. The design is not easy, the element is diffucult to control, and the documentation is very limited. If thunkable's own app does not work, using their platform to develop a working app would seem very odd.

Great and easy app but it only allow us to make 10 screens. Please allow us to use more screens without any issue so that we can create great apps!

My upper part of my app is fixed now the only problem is when I go to my main drawing screen where I or someone else draw that screen is not opening I tried all ways but its still not opening my app is too not big and it's opening perfectly in my laptop but not opening in mobile

Samsung A5 2017 Android 8.0 After Signing in, only a small rectangle is visible in the middle of the screen with thw word "out" in it. If you tap on it, you get logged out. Nothing else is possible. After closing and restarting the app, I am apparently able to upload an app via Live Testing. However, nothing happens for quite a while, and then a "Retry" page appears. If I look at the logs, it tells me Uncaught Error: java.io.IOException: failed to rename /data/user/0/com.thunkable.live/files/okhttp/[somelongfilename].0.tmp to /data/user/0/com.thunkable.live/files/okhttp/[somelongfilename].0

The Designing which is done from the PC changes when it comes to viewing the Live Preview on the Mobile Phone. Not Happy with the performance. When a screen is loaded with components, it completely changes. Not to mention, some components are cut.

There seems that there is a problem with the live test part. When I were to press the live chat button on my mac, the app doesn't respond and does not show me the changes I made. And also, the testing crashed when you use the alert component sometimes. Seriously what type of app is this.

Good app to learn app making but very unstable platform. The platform is still evolving so there is lot of instability of the platform, lot of issues with compatibility with various devices...one day a component works other day it won't work as there might have been an update or due to some internal issue going on... recently it is not compatible with pixel 4a android 11 with speech to text facility.

Didn't work for me at all. Oh, and it took me over 20 hours to work out that this app is a live testing app for Thunkable X, not Thunkable for Android! Make sure you don't get confused. The Thunkable Classic app is different, so if you're using Thunkable Classic, make sure you don't just pick the first app that appears when you search up "Thunkable Live". It would be good to make it less confusing. Anyway, at least the other app works.

Using thunkable x for the first time. After the installation, it asks to sign in with google. After I do that, it shows the apps which are in my account for a split second and the screen goes white. Tried reinstalling. Didn't work. Please let me know if I'm missing something.

the coding is alright but the interface is just plain nasty. the app is clunky and really not very customisable. it was kind of annoying to work with. it's fine for small projects, but it's very limited and not professional at all.

The app is very good. It helps you to learn the coding system but the problem is with live test. When you make an application with animations and want to open with phone it shows an error and crashes. I can't look at my app because of crushing fix it please.

Edit: Thanks a lot for listening to my review. 4 stars coz whenever I add the map component. I have to restart the app. And that's not the only thing. Every time I open an app with a map in thinkable live, it always says one. (SOMETHING WENT WRONG. THIS IS EMBARASSING! blah blah blah) Please fix this and I will give u 5 stars

It's a constant crash experience. If you want to check your app in sequence then it just keeps crashing. I've believe it might be down to when you change anything major in the app (e.g a page name or even a button name)

It opens up to a White Screen and doesn't do anything else from there. I am supposed to use this for a competition but it is completely unusable. Avoid this product until they fix it since nearly 50% of the users report severe issues.

Loved this app was really helpful yo work on site with the live outcome seeing side by side but giving 3 star as it has lot of bugs ... My app is working on site but not on app whenever i click button(only one selected button does this) app closes , i have tried 59 times even tried making anotger button and changing codes woth other button but still doesn't work don't know what the problem is , i even reported bug everytime but still no response 🤷. Hope the app creator sees this and helps me

This app is good on a laptop but the problem is it can't code on phone or after I click blocks I don't go to the next page and it doesn't tell what are the features of membership. But this app is really good for coding and the docs must contain detailed information about local storage. Thanks, hope you reply soon

I have made a app with a timer and when the timer fires it doesn't work. Instead I get an error message that says " this is embarrassing." then below it has 2 buttons which says relaunch and quit. Can you please fix this.
