Thyme is all about helping you make that delicious meal. Whether it´s for yourself, for your family gathering or for that perfect dinner with your best friends, you´re quite likely to need more than one of the burners on your stove. You might use one for sweet potatoes, one for the carrots and one for grandmas epic cranberry sauce. You might even have something juicy sizzling in the oven. This is a quite common scenario in most homes. But setting timers for everything you got cooking in a logic and simple way hasn’t always been that common.
Thyme is a smart kitchen timer app that helps you do exactly this. The app gives you five timers. And they are all layed out like your kitchen stove. Four burners on top and an oven on the front. The intuitive and unobtrusive two-step interface is simple to use and lets you set all the timers you need in a jiffy so you can keep focusing on your food. And when the timer is done, it will simple notify you with a ring-a-ding and a message saying “Your top-right stove just finished!”.
It´s really that simple!Because fine dining needs fine timing.

The alarm volume is linked to your phone's volume settings, so if you don't remember to check your volume settings at the same time you set your timer, there is a strong chance you'll miss it when it goes off. I haven't had to do this with other timer and alarm apps, so I don't know why it has to be necessary here. It's a shame because I like the look and design of the app. It just lacks reliability.
The sounds is really loud and annoying. Wish I could pick a different ring sound for it instead of the annoying "riiinnnngggggg". Wish I could also quite it down or shut it off by using the volume keys. Other than that. I like it.
Even when the volume on my phone is all the way up the timer is too soft a ring for me. It needs to be a lot louder. Your out of luck if you're in the next room when it goes off.
Not just for cooking! Works great for timing more than one thing at the same time! I appreciate how it rings one long burst and then stops. That way you don't have to open the app to press anything to stop the ringing. Interface is simple and attractive.
This is the best most useful timer app... BUT! need to be able to change alarm. I'm trying to use this in a commercial kitchen and need something that keeps going until it's turned off. After that 5 stars and is be happy to pay for it
The interface is brilliant. I wish there were an option to keep the alarm sounding indefinitely. That would make this app perfect.
The only thing I can think to add is a way to add a timer when to start another dish , so it is done in time.
It worked brilliantly then one day it started crashing every time I tried to use it. I cannot find a solution on line .
Loved the app. But after the last update it crashes every time I try to set a timer . Will download again once issues are fixed.
It would be nice if as well as setting a timer, you could also set the timers to continuously count up from 0.
When I click on a hob, it force closes. So I can't use it. Also, I have an oven with 6 hobs and 2 ovens, so it would be good if you could change the layout. Add hobs and ovens.
Please allow users to swipe away the "Finished!" notification and close the app from the notification bar at completion. A popup for us to dismiss the sound and vibrate alert would also be helpful.
I use this app several times a week, usually for timing how long I want to leave clothes in the dryer. It is a two-touch task (one to open the ap, one to pull the timer hand around to the number of minutes.) My clock ap, like most clock aps, has a timer, but it is a 5 touch process.
Can't use it. Every time I click on it to set a timer it crashes. Really disappointed as I love the concept. Uninstalling.
this app works awesome on my iPhone but I can barely hear it on my Samsung 8inch tablet. Very disappointed :( gave it 5 stars in the iTunes Store
Gives visual representation of 4 burners and 1 oven, and you can have all 5 timers running at the same time.
The white on pale blue color scheme is almost invisible in daytime. Very difficult to select exact time, needs a picker.
Love the design and functionality, but it needs the ability to set more precise timings, as well as rotation to landscape for when I'm using the tablet in the kitchen. Presets would also be a nice addition.
Love the ability to have five timers running at once. The sound is not as loud as the phone volume setting.
Used to absolutely adore this app. Now, it crashes instantly and is completely useless. Fix crashing and I will vote 5 stars. I am using stock Verizon Google pixel XL.
I rated 3 stars before due to very low sound. Now I've found the sound is linked to my phones alarm volume, and it works perfectly!
Sometimes simplest is best, and that certainly applies to this app! The one item that I would really like to see is the ability to run in landscape mode so that it can sit on my tablet at the kitchen counter while I am working.
Every time I click on anything, the app crashes. It is unusable.
Used thyme to prepare passover dinner... 2 main and 4 side dishes! Everything came out great! The only suggestion I have is to have zones for the oven.
I love this app, however the volume of the alarm is way too low. No matter how high I adjust volume on my device, the alarm volume is too low. Add a volume adjustment in settings like other timer apps have & I'll give a 5 star rating.
Downloaded it today and haven't managed use it yet as it crashes every single time. Great app in theory, but can't even test it out.
I love the separate timers for hob/oven, which are presented very visually and make a lot of sense when you have a few things on the go. Unfortunately, I've found that only the oven timer produces a sound/vibration on my phone (galaxy s5), so I have to look at the visual representation of the hob timers. If that were fixed, this would be the only app I needed for timing :)
