Ticket to Ride is one of my favorite games, and this app does it justice! However, it logs me out of my account often. I have to re-login and see tutorials again just to get my stats back. I've given up playing with other online players and just play with computer players. So often live players stall a game by not making a move. I recognize the reasons for that may vary, but us others are stuck waiting and often leave eventually. Computer players don't create as much of a challenge though.

I've enjoyed playing this game for some time and using a variety of Android devices. However, with my new Android 11 phone, all went well until I wanted to choose some more journey tickets. And there didn't seem to be any way to do it. Clicking on them showed the route on the map but seemed to neither select nor deselect the ticket and at no time was there an option to complete selection and go back to the game.

Brilliant game. They managed to fit the board game on the screen and game play is very intuitive. I would've given 5 stars but 1. Need to super be careful about dropping trains to claim a route. 2. There's a bug: in a 3player game when I had one train left, it was forcing me to play, but there was nowhere to put a single train, so the game was stuck.

I love the game in general, been playing the board game for decades. App has some very annoying quirks. When I play vs. the bots, we're not required to pick a long route, which means that I'll often get 2-3 routes with low points (6-9) and the bot gets 2-3 long routes of 17-22 points each. Totally unfair. Another problem: color cards are often replenished with same color just put down by a player so I have to wait for certain colors to come up. Should be truly random shuffle. Annoying music too.

I have to change my review to a 3 star. The game is super fun but there is a bug with the app so annoying. You have these challenges per each map and that give you badges after completing them, but is suer frustrating to out of the blue see that they are all gone or some of them are gone. They simply disappear all the time so makes it impossible to collect them all.

Faithful implementation of the classic board game(s). Additional expansions are purchasable for a reasonable fee. Gameplay is fairly quick even on underpowered hardware. Local play works really well. Online play is okay, but the system is awkward and not really conducive to quick play. Online play also occasionally causes crashes, but this only really matters if you care about your standing or something.

The game is very fun. Some improvement is needed though. (Would be nice)They need to update the game more tbh. One of my favorite map isnt on it (japan & italy) which is kinda sad. (MUST)Make this game color blind friendly!!!! The board game is with the symbols but not the mobile game. I'm not completely color blind, but me for example I have a hard time finding the oranges and the greens which end up costing me a lot of possible wins.

I like the game: the strategy, the aesthetic, the layout. I like the options: tutorial, bot play or online players or shared computer. I like game variations, each board with unique variations of the game I used to like the chat, when it used to work, please fix it! Glitches in the programming: I had finished a game (competitive with scoring) and had 1min 5" left. During score counting, my clock kept ticking my time ran out before scoring was complete and it appeared I lost (not true) fix it!

I wish there is a more noticeable way to know whose turn it is. That small clock with the arms moving is a cute way to display whose turn it is, but is not noticable. A simple outline line box around the player card would be much more effective and noticeable. Also having a two-click confirmation for picking the colored train cards would also be nice. At times I would accidentally select a train color card, because I didn't realize it was my turn, because of the non-noticable display of turn

I love having this game available on my mobile device. It matches up with the tabletop version really well and is mostly easy to use. Sometimes dragging trains onto a route doesn't register (can take a few tries). I haven't had trouble connecting with my friends in a while, so that seems to be improved. Now, the game loses a star for the AI gameplay. For a while, it was ok, but for the last year or so, the AI plays like an angry child without any intentions of winning. Watching them go in circles seemingly to block a route is frustrating, especially when the end stats show they didn't complete a single route. Not any where close. Still, it is worth having, and I am glad to play it with my real people.

It's a good game and I play it often. However, they keep dinking with the interface, throwing up annoying indicators it's your turn. The last time they did this, it changed back pretty quickly. So, I'm surprised they did it again. Pay attention to that feedback! Second, every so often an update resets my volume preferences and what I thought was going to be a quiet diversion starts loudly playing ragtime. Not cool.

I have to turn the music off every time I open the game! Make it stay off! Overall, the UI is pretty terrible. It takes 5 clicks just to resume a game(!), and you have to wait for it to animate the menus. You can accelerate the main menu by tapping, but the other ones take forever and are unresponsive at first. I hate how it constantly nags you that it's your turn when you're thinking. But it's T2R, and I can play it with friends, so 2 stars.

TTR is a great game, I thoroughly enjoy it. I'm not a fan of the chess-style ranking system. Doesn't adapt well to a game with randomness like drawing cards, I can lose 100 pts easy just from bad luck. Also super buggy; it's not uncommon to get kicked out for no reason or to lose sync. Also I get random notifications that say "TTR Needs Your Attention" seemingly for no reason; when i open the app, there's nothing new or unusual. I hope they resolve this app's many bugs, I want to like it a lot!

Great game and a nicely implemented version of the board game. This does NOT play well on chromebook, however. Numerous times in one game, the app crashed and also, when you're in the menus there's no 'back' navigation button so if you click into one of the menu screens, there's no way to get back out again! This resulted in approximately 15 minute delay in the game, with everyone else waiting as well, while I tried repeatedly to return to the game I was playing. Very irritating

This is great as a board game; not so great as an app. It's constantly kicking me back to the home screen, so I have to go through a half-dozen screens to get back into my game almost ever other turn. It also crashes fairly regularly, or the notifications stop working because I briefly lost my Internet connection, so I don't realize it's my turn, or it stops to revalidate my download yet again, or it cuts to a black screen for long periods of time. Even when it's working, it's pretty clunky, with a bunch of little things that don't work as smoothly as they should, and some important details that are not made clear in the app design or instructions. I'm using this on a Samsung phone, so it might work better on tablets. I'm still enjoying playing this game with friends during quarantine, but I'm enjoying the game in spite of the app, not because of it. I guess I'd still recommend the app if you like the board game and don't have a way to play in person, but I'd also recommend you switch to a better app or version of this game online as soon as you find one.

This game is fun and addicting. Left hand option needs to be greatly improved though. When I select it it doesn't change anything. IMO it should flip the train cards/draw pile to the left side and put the score on the right. It should also put the "target" for placing trains on the right side of your finger so you can actually see it when playing left handed.

Phi. H. Mar 30, 2019

Great Game! My only complaint is the lack of an option for better visuals. It would be nice to have a mode thst takes notes from the Carcassonne app with 3d rendering. Also, there ought to be a screen that blocks the next player's hand in pass and play until a button is pressed to confirm the game has been passed. Otherwise, this is basically a perfect port of a great board game

Cai. M. Jan 11, 2019

Edit: The crashes are fixed. This game is great. I love how many different modes there are (local, against AI, pass and play, online). It actually doesnt matter if you have played the board game, this game is great either way. Definitely worth the purchase. Love the actual game, runs fine on my IPad but won't let me play on android. Crashes as soon as I click play every time.

Min. V. Apr 17, 2020

As many have already said, the game is great (hence 2 stars not 1), but this is the glitchiest app I've ever used to the point it can get really frustrating to play, e.g. when it shows its someone else's turn but it's actually your turn, and the clock is counting down your time without you being aware of it. They should really try to fix this app considering how low the ratings are.

Jea. J. Jul 27, 2019

overall good but... con: the game resets the volume EVERY SINGLE TIME you start it. You can't leave it set to silent more because it won't stay that way con: no way to tell how many games have been played to reach achievements. Also, have played 40-50 games in each area and it thinks i still haven't completed 20 games in any of them. con: complete a game. go back to the main menu. turn screen off, when you come back to play a game, it thinks you still haven't finished the last one yet

This is really a great game, however, this electronic version does not seem to accept the fact that add-ons were paid for. I have to repeatedly log out and log back on the server, which occasionally works to be able to use the game as paid for. This software doesn't seem stable enough. The add ins were paid for, but are not available to use... Update, customer service was able to correct all issues! It would be 5 star if they didn't charge for every small add on. It is a fun multiplayer game.

Ben. P. Jul 17, 2020

Great game! My one issue is the UI is very unfriendly. Devs, would it be possible to add a button on the home screen to show your level, rank, games played etc. Also, I don't understand the achievements panel. I'm sure I've completed many more cards than it shows. Finally...the ranking system is bizarre! So close to a perfect game :)

Edit: They still haven't fixed the signing out issue. Dropping another star because this is ridiculous for a paid game! It keeps signing me out! And every time it does, it turns the music and sound effects to full blast. Plus it forgets all my other preferences. I thought it might be every time I reboot my phone (Pixel 4a) but it's more often than that. Fix this annoying bug! The music is awful and loud and it's super annoying to have it play when I open the app.

This is a great adaptation of the modern board game classic Ticket to Ride into an app. Very intuitive to play even as a beginner. The AI players are well developed so it is fun to play solo, but it is even better played online. You can do this with random players all over the world, or in private games with your friends. And if you are at home, it includes a pass and play version to play on the same device. Definitely recommended.

The Ticket to Ride game itself is great fun. The app does a nice job of making the board game playable and not adding in too much extra fluff that takes away from the game. I have it 3 stars because of the app crashes quite a bit. I'm playing on a pixel 2 running pie, and everything seems to run perfect until I try to start a rematch or play online. This is hard to overlook for a paid app.

Lots to like about this game. It looks good and the functionality is intuitive. Minus stars because it gets glitchy in multi-player mode and because the stations (Europe version) don't work well. Re stations: (1) can't specify which route they apply to. The game guesses and doesn't always guess correctly. (2) I've played an unhealthy number of games against all the AIs (pandemic lockdown) and none of them has used a station once, even when it would be to their benefit.
