The watch is good quality and sturdy. The app is decent. I wish there was support for some other form of messaging outside of the app. It's disappointing that the watch has good cameras and plenty of storage, yet there isn't a way to access the photos/videos remotely without sending them via messages. The thing that bothers me most is that video calling is advertised everywhere, but is only supported over wifi. This limitation should have been more clear.

Terrible! Constantly fails to send notifications. It doesn't notify me that my child has sent a message unless I'm in the app or have used it very recently. This defeats the entire purpose of having a watch for my children to communicate with me. I reached out to support on multiple occasions over a 12 month period. First I was told it was a bug they were fixing. Then I was told it was an issue with my phone and no one else is having the problem which isn't true based on the reviews. Terrible

this is great! my 9yo loves it and does very well, we might turn 911 on now that he's more mature in having it 2 years now. looks like icons are described better now, wish we could get the cracked screen fixed tho, it's almost the same as buying a new watch.

So far most works as intended, setup is easy, getting kids setup is fine. My biggest issue right now is I can't turn off the notification sounds when kids are texting. When my phone is on vibrate I shouldn't be hearing any noises, I've gone into the app notification settings and they are all supposed to follow phone but aren't. Then I tried to silent all of those notifications yet I still get loud noises when texts come in. Temp solution it appears is to silence my whole phone. Big time bug.

This app is not great and has a lot of bugs. Always says "Oops. Successfully completed." which is confusing--can't tell if it worked or not half the time. You can't enter a phone number into contacts without a photo. You can't text or video chat yet. Hopefully they resolve these issues soon. The overall idea is good. I like the firewall idea (no callers except those in contact list).

It's getting better with every update. I've held off writing a review until now. I'll change my star grade when it improves to the all the features it promotes. I dislike that it takes me to the set-up screens everytime I log in, even after a month of it being set up. The iPhone app has less bugs, unfortunately. Fingers crossed the updates keep coming. Come-on android tick-talk 3 team. YOU CAN DO IT! :)

while I understand this is new I'm highly disappointed in the amount of issues I've had trying to get everything set up. It doesnt not allow me to input phone numbers, just says that operation has failed. Most of the features still arent working such as text and video calling. *edited 12/27/18 originally gave it 3 stars but bumped it down to 1 star. Currently unable to get the app to even open.

The UI is awful. The default notification is extremely loud and annoying, the app won't let you change it, when you go into the notification settings you are greeted with a screen prompting you to whitelist the app from battery saving features. No matter what you do, this is the only screen you see when you go into notification settings. The entire app feels how I imagine windows 95 would feel to someone using it in present day. Except worse.

update:it just keeps getting worselove what the product is supposed to do BUT when our daugther sends messages from the watch, we do not receive them. facechat is not working either. Preset contacts should be able to call the watch when firewall is activated but we cannot call unless the firewall is turned off. If the firewall is turned off, any number can contact her. This defeats the purpose of the watch and it's limitations. Please fix. We are really excited to start enjoying all the features.

Patience & kindness goes a long way, esp. since we all knew we were investing in a kickstarter that could save children's lives. And what a wonderful result! The first of it's kind (4G), and I'm simply amazed at the quality and the basic things you got right that all the other cheap 2G watches missed. So far every feature works well for me. Fantastic watch! I expected bugs, but the turnaround for fixing issues is great. Thank you for putting such a small price on peace of mind! I bought two!

The app keeps stopping/freezing and it doesn't always notify me if a message was sent. Too expensive of a watch to have the app act up so much

Clearly this company decided to put the watch out before it was complete in order to get Christmas orders. A good company never puts out a product that's incomplete, but they would have missed out on all the holiday sales. The flip side is, now they have all these negative reviews. So that's why we get all the bugs and under construction messages. i originally gave it 3 stars. Changed to 1 star when the piece on the watch that holds the wristband broke off at the top. Now wristband cant attach.

The instructions in app don't tell you to do this but I had to restart the watch after having paired it with the app in order for any of the app settings that I changed to take effect on the watch. Also I wish that the watch could send text messages to any of the pre-approved contacts, whether or not those people have the app on their phone. What if contacts don't have a smartphone and can't use the app but could receive text messages on a flip phone? Why not?

This has been one of the best investments I have made for my children! I had tried cell phones before but they never replied or answered the calls because it was in thir backpacks. These watches changed that, we are in constant contact and have even gotten closer because of them. The GPS works great, texts come through even when I'm not logged in the app, calls always come through. I couldn't be happier. It was in beta a while ago but everything seems to be working perfectly.

Messaging needs work! I get notifications 6 to 8 HOURS (!) after my child sends me a message. Apparently the app logs itself out when not actively being used on the phone. Only when I manually open the app do I get the texts or voice messages (instantly) as well as the messages sent hours earlier. GPS locator works well. Calls work well. (Redtalk mobile, Samsung S8)

Our relative is his/her very best self without a "smart" phone. The control we have helps exponentially. They enjoy talking into the watch as it's very much like apple watch. They feel "cool" like the others. AND...it has held up! We're going on 1+ years without having to replace it! VERY MUCH WORTH IT!

Patiently waiting out the kinks. The GPS works well and so do phone calls. I received notifications of messages but don't always see them or get them. The texting / voice message feature still needs improvement. Been doing the software updates regularly but still have the message kink. . I am sure it will resolve eventually.

We are long time TickTalk users. Coming from TickTalk2 und using TickTalk3 for over a year. The app gets better and better. We love that there are always new enhancements to the app and to the watch. We use it every day and used it in different countries without any issues. Great product.
