since last update the app is no longer useable. When the update first happened my notification permissions no longer worked, even though they were all still activated in my phone settings. now it won't pair with my watch, and i cannot get past the screen that wants to turn on all notification permissions. totally useless as smart watch now, except to use the calculator and alarm on the watch itself. update: reset watch, swapped phones...STILL won't get past the setting permissions prompt!
Totally disappointed! It is very sad that such a good watch (TW2 onyx), have this so limited application and also can not be updated to AW. If this does not happen soon, I will think that this purchase was not a good choice. For those who are thinking about buying a watch of these, it will be better to buy the E or S versions that supports AW natively.
The latest update of the app has made my Ticwatch 2 useless. It keeps showing the watch is disconnected and it always forces to pair the device again. Try to pair the device again and it is unable to use old backup from the cloud, thus forcing you to pair as a new device. Once setup as a new device, the app returns to being disconnected and I'm back to where I started. What are you guys doing? Why ruin your own product?
It was fine until recently. It is almost useless for me to wear this on my wrist as the voice command function is not working anymore. Bluetooth connection is not stable. Factory reset is pointless, because it won't factory reset. ??? Tic Pro is actually even worse. Tic is trash now.
The app just does the job to notify me the calls and other notifications. But since I updated to Android Pie, the Caller Name is showing as "Unknown" which takes away from the usage of the app. Please fix this ASAP. Update: The latest May 5th 2019 update fixed the issue with "Unknown" caller name in Android Pie. Finally. Edit: The taking or cutting the call from the phone doesn't work. This is a very basic feature and it doesn't work means the watch is not at all useful as a smartwatch.
The link between my watch and phone stopped working so I tried to update and reload app. The new update does not work. Even though you allow all permissions, it will not continue as it wants you to allow all permissions!!!! You should not be forced to accept all anyway but regardless, even though I have, I cannot move on. I now have a watch that does not work.
Ticwatch 2 is awesome. It has out lived the newer ticwatch e. Unfortunately the software has made my watch almost useless. I no longer get and notifications other than phone calls. Ticfitness has also stopped syncing to Google fit. Please make ticwatch 2 great again Mobvoi.
App does not even open. After accepting all the required permissions, the pop up defaults continuously to prompt me accept permissions. A neverending perpetual cycle making the app useless. Now my ticwatch2 is stuck with the QR code to sync, total trash product (never worked well since purchase over a year ago). Even the 3rd party APK app required to use won't work, as required since version is 4.14.0 and Android 5.1
The new update is good. I had space issue on my watch due to which it was no functioning normal. Initially i thought that this is due to the new update, but I was wrong. The new update has no issue, thanks for the changed UI. Ticwatch 2 user.
Have been through all the issues noted in comments. Latest update stopped notifications, which is the single purpose i bought this watch for, and attempting to open app now prompts for increased permissions which i deny and app immediately closes. The inexpensive price is no longer worth the privacy/functionality trade off... Uninstalling and using the watch to hold papers down on my desk.
Latest app update is broken. Upon opening the app you are thrown into a loop where the app asks for permissions but after accepting the requested permissions the only choices are cancel or go back and allow the permissions again. Now my watch is totally useless.
Since the latest update I've been having very odd and inconsistent connectivity/synchronization issues with my ticwatch 2. For example: my weather on my watch hasn't updated in over five days when the app updated.
the update ruined it, after this update the watch does not stay connected, I've changed permissions and tried everything, can't control my music, can't see notifications, it's just a basic plain watch now, please fix this.
for better use of this app, please allow these permissions. The app has every permission I can ever give it however they keeps giving me this error message one launch. first time install. I've only have two hours for 10 minutes however it is already re-packaged and ready for return and be ready to be sent out tomorrow for a refund.
The app experience is ok... It should have an option to add multiple watches similar to Wear OS (Google) app... I can only add one watch and when I need to use the other ticwatch sometimes then I remove the previous watch and add this one everytime...
I still can't use this app!! It's not working! Bar code pops up on my phone but my ticwatch won't show nothing. I can't get passed that part!! This app doesn't work!!! Hello? Fix it!!
App loses connection to the watch, and just recently completely lost all settings, requiring a factory reset on the watch (TicWatch2). Uses too much battery life.
This app has gone from bad to terrible. I had high hopes for this Brand, but their app support has been atrocious to anyone that doesn't have one of their new watches, which uses wear, so they just decided screw their existing clients. I will not recommend this brand.
The app doesn't work! I get to the picture of my watch and nothing happens and if I try the manual function, I don't see the QVC code or my device and I know my phone is connected by Bluetooth.
Broken update. Why was this ever released? Do you do any testing at all before pushing updates? Terrible. Watch connects to the phone but all notifications are gone and I cannot control my music on the phone.
The new updates seems good. Hopefully it can keep going. Really like the ticwatch 2 classic. Hope the same model with improved hardware and software support can be made.
Last update caused my ticwatch2 to constantly disconnect and not notify me of anything... Plus it crashes from time to time. It was working just fine before that.
App is totally not working at all. Cannot connect to my Ticwatch 2. Can't get the help. The watch is now totally useless.
Keeps force closing, after the recent update, takes a whole lot of permissions. Challenge is that if the app doesn't work Google fit doesn't update.
This app had a major update a while back, since then my watch doesn't sync with the phone. No notifications, nothing. The app constantly displays the message " syncing " and does nothing. I can use the watch but can't sync my workout details. This issue came up the day my phone got Android 9. ***Edit: Its been more than 6 months now. Should I throw my ticwatch 2 into the garbage? Just let me know.***
